Yesterday was the last day of our installation from Blue Planet Knysna....setting up the solar panels and linking to the inverter. I am over the moon with the amazingly good standard of quality for the product supplied and the service excellence involved. Michael with his team mates Vincent and Brian are top class workers. Attention to detail is superb and the finished work cannot be faulted anywhere. Investing in solar power is expensive so quite daunting, but the value for money I received has made me realise just how lucky I am to have found this supplier. I got quotes for almost double from other suppliers, so am quite in awe of the standard offered at the price. Very happy with our 5kW grid-tied system - you guys did a great job. This has been one of the most satisfying purchases - In the three months of using the system, we have generated (thus saved) almost R3,000 worth of electricity without really trying! I love the simplicity of the system, and I can recommend it for anyone that can schedule power-intensive tasks to daylight hours, such as tumble dryers (ours runs almost every day!), swimming pool pumps and geysers.

BBP installed a solar system for me in alberton, what great service

These guys know their stuff. I had a heat pump installed recently and couldn't be happier. Getting 38C in the middle of winter.

They do very high quality work compared to other solar installations that I saw in my neighborhood.

After paying a significant deposit during the Nationwide Level 5 Lockdown, and subsequently cancelling my requirements during the same Level 5 lockdown, this business "announce" a 30% handling fee to Refund??? What costs/handling expenses could THey have occurred during Level 5???

Update to my post:

I have had to acquire the services of Legal Practioners to mediate with this Company. After 6 months of attempting a direct customer/vendor resolve, this outcome is what I can only describe as poor Customer Service, and evidence to this companies inability to want or maintain any customer retentions for future business.

Since the deposit was Paid, i was informed that "you were waiting for Stock from China?"
I never received any notification UP UNTIL the time of cancellation (level 5!!!l ) that stock had arrived???
So, during level 5 lockdown, you appear to indicate here, that you were able to Receive, Courier the goods to Gauteng?????

We had our solar installed about 9 months ago. I was waiting for something to go wrong before leaving a review, so I could check their after sales service. However NOTHING went wrong, not only in the installation but also since the system has been installed. The level of service and attention is outstanding. The teams who did the installations were knowledgeable, proficient, quick, clean and friendly.

Blue Planet were also the most affordable from all the quote we received.

We have't noticed a moment of loadshedding, that stress has completely lifted from our shoulders, plus we are saving a huge amount on our electricity bill per month.

There weren't any problems with the installation. All the people that were there to install it,were great, and I'm very happy with and I've already recommended them to family and friends.

We have been off-grid for nearly 20 years and now needed an urgent upgrade and modernization of the first old system. There were many challenges in this as we were 48KVA, lead acid battery based.
This system carried many inefficiencies and batteries now exhausted after nearly 17 years of performance. Richard Alkemade and his team were able to better on this installation in this recent upgrade, improving on performance with nearly 60%. So much so, that we can operate as before, but now based on a system of only 14.5 + KVA storage, using Lithium Ion technology. Expertly and proudly SA made in Cape Town by MD solar. Seamless installation and switch over, even with a large number of guests at the resort. That is expert and a performance seeking comparison. Proudly South African....Yes, we can still do it! Thank You Blue Planet Power Team and MD Solar for your professional and top class service.

My electricity bill is nonexistent They were awesome, and it was very quick. They got me in within a month of me requesting their service.

Brilliant company, They did a really good job with my custom system. Panels and all other components look great and they work well.

Blue Planet installed our solar system which was a glorified UPS that only gave us 10 minutes of power. After spending a fortune and being told that we would power up most of the house we were totally dissatisfied with the system. After numerous calls to the owner Richard Alkemade, to rectify problem he denied he was the owner and refused to assist us. Consequently, we had to employ a new company to come and install a new system. A word of warning, DO NOT use this company as you will have endless problems!

Installation was clearly done by Blue Planet, Knysna as can be seen by the pics. The proof is in the pudding!
