We have been off-grid for nearly 20 years and now needed an urgent upgrade and modernization of the first old system. There were many challenges in this as we were 48KVA, lead acid battery based.
This system carried many inefficiencies and batteries now exhausted after nearly 17 years of performance. Richard Alkemade and his team were able to better on this installation in this recent upgrade, improving on performance with nearly 60%. So much so, that we can operate as before, but now based on a system of only 14.5 + KVA storage, using Lithium Ion technology. Expertly and proudly SA made in Cape Town by MD solar.
