Crab sucked. Manager sucked. Was told I couldn't have a piece of medium rare prime rib. For $35.00 a person, it was very disappointing. Difficult to want to gamble and spend money with an establishment that doesn't live up to the high expectations I was hoping for. Won't ever be back.

Not sure how this casino is listed as a 3 star loc...

Not sure how this casino is listed as a 3 star location, it is absolutely a low 2 star place. I'm here at the casino hotel for 3 more days for work and I'll update this review if things get worse or if things improve. My money is on "getting worse." The hotel casino is dated but I don't mind that, it costs a lot to refurbish. My big challenge with the Blue Chip Casino is the level of how dirty it is and how horrible management is in many departments. I'm assuming that zero executives in Blue Chip Hotel & Casino decision making have never heard the term "Customer Experience Management."

Lets start with the negatives:
-Hotel: My room is absolutely disgusting (check out the pictures attached to this review.) Looks like its had a basic surface cleaning only for approximately 50 years. Who ever manages housekeeping needs replaced immediately. This dirtiness of my room is just ridiculous. My room is a dingy, gross, and filthy mess. Thank god I do not have a blacklight because the results of what that thing would find could make me want to just sleep in my car.

- Zero wifi: No wifi in the Spa Tower. When asking guest services about the issue I was pushed off and told they would fix it. When I asked to be updated with the status of fixing the internet I was told sure but it would probably take days to fix. This is a BS answer, it doesn't take days.

-Customer Service: Out of the 20/25 employees I came in contact with only 2 were pleasant people, my server at the sports bar & the woman who signed me up for a rewards card. Every other employee I encountered seemed as though they would rather be ANYWHERE else in the world other than at work at the Blue Chip Casino. I would put a large amount of money down on a bet that this place has has ZERO customer service training for, at least 50 years.

- Smells: 75% of the Blue Chip Casino smells like dirty feet. Maybe its the smoke smell mixed with the fact the place hasn't been cleaned in a half century.

Ok, now the Pros:
-Reward program is decent. I've received some food comps and slot play so far.
-Food is decent too but nothing to write home about. I've had food at the Sports bar (the wings were good) and the deli (Prime Rib sandwich).
-Parking is free so they've got that going for them.
Gaming is cool. Nothing that makes them stand out but the gaming floor is easy to maneuver and it hasn't been very busy so playing games I have wanted to play hasn't been a challenge.

There's music every Saturday for free and so we go, have a drink and people watch. The outlet mall is right down the street so you can get some shopping in as well
Attached is a great sports bar and restaurant called The Game and it's a 5 star experience.

Worst casino experience ever!

Worst casino experience ever!

My husband and I booked a room on a Saturday $220 because we were told there would be some entertainment. When we get there we were told it was canceled! Half the restaurants were closed and the pool as well! If I knew that I would have never drove 3 hours and booked a room for 220 a night with half of thier amenities shut down! By the way they also charged me a resort fee! A resort fee for what I dont know. Nothing was open. Anyways we decided to go eat at the Game because it was the only thing open and we couldnt check into our room until 4. They had 1 waitress! It took almost an hour to get out food. Then we decided to go into the casino. They had security checking people in because of covid19 which is good. I'm glad they took precautions. However the way we were treated was completely unacceptable!! The security guard talked to my husband like a child and the other one basically yelled at me to take my mask down to have my temperature read. Sorry I dont know the routine coming in but I definitely dont need to be spoken to in the manner! It was upsetting to say the least and embarrassing as well. We have been to this casio before and loved it! But this time it was appsolutly horrible! We will never go back! Not good!

A guy named 'Tony' who is a fleet supervisor at roulette table is rude as hell.
After losing $700, I was sitting quietly at the roulette table watching my friend playing and he comes to me and says i need to stand up because i was not playing. I took no offense and quickly was on my feet. And then he comes back and says me to move back as he wants more people to come play. I don't want to cry racism and stuff but this pos needs to be given extra customer service lessons and note that your business is saying goodbye to the employees of arcelor mittal.

We stayed there for a wedding, and even with the discount rate, it was nearly $250/night. For this price, there are much better hotels. They also still allow smoking inside, so be prepared to be engulfed in cigarette smoke when you arrive. We ate the the sports bar while waiting for our room to be ready (check-in isn't until 4pm...), and the food was just okay but at least it was pretty cheap.

We were able to check into our room around 3pm, but when we checked in, there was a dirty towel in the shower...

Would not recommend staying here.

I play games here all the time, floor staff is always great. Buttttt the only eatable food here is the deli ( pretty good ). I've ended up in the ER 2X based on stomach issues from food from the steakhouse and the buffet, and the buffet is pretty lackluster to begin with.
