I have had mixed experiences with Bloomin Marvellous. To start with the positives:
1. The owner, Spencer is professional, knowledgeable and responsive to inquiries.
2. We had one very good team come around to do 2 hours of garden maintenance. This team is what I expected from the company after my conversations with Spencer - they were efficient, worked the entire 2 hours, and knocked on when they were done to explain the work completed. The team seemed knowledgeable about the plants and gave me a few pointers on how to maintain some of the bushes in our garden between visits from the company.
The negatives:
1. We recently had a very bad work team come around to do 2 hours of garden maintenance. The team showed up ~30 minutes late, spent time eating lunch in the front of the house, and then went to their car to sit for a while before driving off ~15 minutes early. A maximum of 10 minutes was spent in the back of our house in the actual garden.
2. Given the lack of work done in the above visit, I believe I was overcharged. I ended up paying for 1.5 hours of work because that is approximately how long the team was at my house (according to the trackers on their van). So I ended up paying for the crew to eat their lunch and sit in their van. When disputing the charge I was refused a breakdown of what was actually done. Instead of the itemised list I was given a small discount (0.5 hour less work, no charge for rubbish removal) and was told the case was closed.
We have stopped using Bloomin Marvellous after the last visit. Unfortunately I no longer trust them to do the work and cannot justify paying for a job that may or may not be completed to a high standard.
