Fascinating... well worth the time to see the flower market of the world. Flower ship by plane all over the globe.
Nice clear auction, ample parking with a wide range of plants, cut flowers etc. Located close to Schiphol and the highway.
We went on a Thursday which is a slower day. It s open to tourists from 7-9 am. Other days it s open 7-11 am for tourists. The building is over 1 km long and it s the biggest building in the world. They mark it very clearly for tourists so if you drive there you will follows the signs for where to park and then there are very clear signs to guide you to the entrance. For 8 euros you gain entrance and follow the guided path that provides you a birds eye view of what s happening on the warehouse floor. There is an app you can download and use along the path for more information. You walk to the end of the 1 km to see the auction room. By 8 am there was less than 20 people bidding. The auction moves very quickly and you just observe through a glass window. You wrap up with a little history Overall, unique thing to do and it would be an easy trip from Amsterdam.
Getting up early is worth it! Impressive insights into the work on the international flower exchange and the work of the numerous hard-working employees.
Download the app and off you go!
Watching the hustle and bustle is very impressive, as millions of colorful flowers and plants are driven through the huge facility and made ready for further transport.
The app gives you a lot of background knowledge and an explanation of how the stock market works.
The conclusion of the tour, with the possibility of being guided through the halls on a packaging trolley, is funny and carries a risk of traffic jams if all visitors want to be filmed ...
After the visit you can look at the flowers in the flower shop or at home with different eyes.
Very informative, but without a tour, only scout yourself with an information board. Be sure to schedule early between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. Free!!
A magical land, flowing with milk and honey. A workplace and home for many lost souls.
Fascinating to watch this floral wholesale flower market, set in this huge building. A large percentage of the world's flowers pass through this building, and watching flowers of every variety after auction is amazing.
Good for an early morning tour to see all the fresh flowers during the distribution process.
a great place to see how flowers are distributed form all over the world
the size and complexity was amazing something to see if you are in amsterdam
The difficulty level is too high, so I do not recommend it if you do not have time, but it is good because you can feel the horticultural farming including this location. Geography B Holy Land pilgrimage best.
Maybe it's best to go in the morning.
You can enjoy the factory messi.
You can also watch the auction.
I am not familiar with the flower factory, but I can see a slight increase in tension.
You may be unsure of where the entrance is, but there is a clear entrance towards the center. (A place like a souvenir shop)
It is far from the bus stop, but there is not much uber, so I will try to walk hard.
It's very hard to go early in the morning, but I guarantee the best.
From work I often go here for a tour with the international trainees that we have. They look their eyes at how big it is. Interesting for people outside.
You should have seen it!!! To be there at 7 in the morning! UNDERSTANDING ...
Close to the airport, it takes about 0.5-1 hours to enter, so it is recommended to arrange this trip before leaving for the return flight. You can visit the large-scale flower gathering and auction scenes. The transportation staff has a good division of labor and a large worker ant colony. Quick operation can be seen at a glance.
Always impressive to see the volume and variety of flowers
Nice clear auction, with a wide range of plants, cut flowers, etc.
Good for you to sail yourself with a boat to create scalded barbecue shashlik is a quay bench for guests
A little hard to get to by public transit from the airport, but was generally interesting to spend an hour walking and observing the auction and the packing floor.
I love to see on TV.that there are also beautiful flowers in places that are really necessary, to be able to get a bit happy blijoaziekenhuien old people's homes.fantastic.for the factory itself it is very to get through this time. I also want to give you all a heart and say: after this time there will be a better time again. I wish you a lot of strength and strength to continue again for us, if only for those beautiful flowers, which cheer us up again. friendly greeting margreet
The auction is not that exciting. The amount of flowers and logistics in the halls is impressive. For technical enthusiasts a must.
I applied for a job there at a company. Wasn't him after all.
In my opinion this is the best tourist destination to visit in Holland. Not only for flower lovers but also for those interested in business and logistic.
Mowed grass with the Zerro-turn, and weeded with a colleague.
Frequently waking up at night by a truck.
Not nice neighbors so .....
Really have to see to believe. Arrive by 0800 while it's active.
Very impressive. Amazing how all those flowers are handled.
A visit is stongly recommended.
Absolutely fascinating place! How those guys driving the cages of flowers around don't bump into anyone else is a marvel!
Here I work as a flower distributor .. nice work to do, with nice colleagues ..
The largest flower auction in the world!
Incredibly fascinating if you can see directly in which speed the dealers behind the disc buy the flowers. Trade at the highest level.
And the warehouses: wow! Definitely worth seeing (you have to be there very early)
BloemenOnline.nl
fresh flowers every day, sent throughout the Netherlands
sublime, worth the detour. One of the must-sees in Amsterdam
Really very interesting and explanatory. To recommend highly.
