Cool vintage Store, but some items are beyond vintage, they are just damaged and destroyed and should not be offered for money

I do like this place. I was going to dub it the "alternative" Value Village, but it definitely offers more than that. Everything is at the low, low price of $10, but my irrational brain kicks in and tells me that it doesn't make sense to buy the priciest thing in the store (even if it's a mere ten bucks).
But that's fine! There's quite a collection of $2 and $5 tees etc. as well. Love the satisfaction of scoring a good find, especially if it's the last print - and for the price of a coffee. And, of course there's the extras. It's sometimes hard to find a good fit - but there's big bulky denim jackets (that you would find for around $50 in Kensington), denim vests, rasta sweaters etc. all for ten bucks! I haven't found one that fit me perfectly, but I've been close, and am still awaiting that great find.
Tees are organized alphabetically, which is kind of funny as we don't know their titles specifically. They have a great selection of prints here: a lot of obscure pop culture references, alternative artists... Where else?
They print their designs on decent-quality used clothing it appears, so do your due diligence and look for the best quality shirt. A buddy once scored with a nice Banana Republic tee.
Interesting barbershop at the back, changerooms, nihilistic-looking staff. -1 star for inconsistent/nonexistent service. I don't expect much from here, but they've rubbed me the wrong way once when they chased a friend of mine out of the store, accusing her of shoplifting (to no avail). They apologized, but it was awkward.
Lot of great, cheap finds, highly recommend for real vintage wear
The entrance to the store is awesome.
Any store that has the presence of mind to sell a tshirt that says "Monday. You bastard." is my kind of place.
Second hand gems can be found here.
It doesn't get funkier than that: ln this store you'll find many used/vintage clothing, ties, shoes and accessories. The chance is your item will cost you either $5 or $10 bucks (mind you many items are brand new), so let the discovery begin...
The place stinks and the umbrella I bought from them by the cash register was weak as hell barely lasted, flipped right when the wind came through it.. sucks that there's no returns to this garbage
You can find second-hand clothes in good condition, the prices are reasonable, most of the clothes are only worth 10 dollars, from jackets to pants, they do not sell underwear or shoes or tennis, I recommend that after making your purchases they give them a wash to the clothes, the clothes they sell there are clean but it is better to give them a second wash, it is good to visit this place in the morning which is the best time to get good clothes, otherwise in the afternoon it is only leftover clothes, the place is medium and has heating.
Cool place everything $10 a little scary on first visit
It's like thrift shopping with you super-cool NYC cousin. Alongside the second hand stuff there are rock and counter-culture themed new tee shirts.
There is a barber's shop and LP record store in this shop.
Cool and unique stuff. You can spend a lot of time here cause everything is one of a kind.
Great clothing selection with decent price, would come again
Best tshirts and store. Fav place for many years and have a full on collection at this point
This is the new location of classic Blackmarket. Always have killer finds here for amazing prices. Perfect for broke art kids looking to style up in vintage finds
You really can t go wrong when everything is $10. You ll find a lot of duds but if you browse long enough (or get lucky) you ll definitely find some gems. Really good place to look for cheap jackets and denim.
This shouldn t have to be said, but I d highly recommend giving your purchases a nice strong wash before wearing (and probably give your hands a good sanitizing after you leave the store as well).
This place is the bomb. If you are hip and you want hip clothes for cheap, you go here. It feels like salvation army/goodwill on crack!!!
Amazing place with great selection and lots to pour through. Great t-shirt selection.
The clothing is incredible, prices are astounding, an experience just to wander around inside.
The greatest pre-loved clothing lives here. And for only $10 each!
You'd think in an ever increasing gentrified neighbour that this place would jack up its price. It still hasn't.
It still has that 80s 90s vintage store vibe.
The prices are great.
You can usually find some pretty good stuff here too.
I bought a bunch of Canadian Military vintage jackets for dirt cheap. It's my favourite jacket ever. Going to grab some in the future if they still have them. So I dig this location.
The staff are good too. I'm not a fan of being annoyed by salespeople, but, they have the great balancing act.
Long live the Black Market!
Good and funny t-shirts for $10. Good stuff but looks cheap.
It is a famous used clothing store in central Toronto! The attraction is price! Basic $ 10 for shirts, jackets, hoodies, and more! Downs, coats, jumpers, etc. are quite cheap at around $ 30! But it's cheap, the quality is that much. Since the goods are lined up properly, it is quite hard to see, but some things are quite dirty. But if you slowly sort out good items, you can buy decent brands and quality items at a very low price.
Cool thrifting store where everything is $10. Don't come in here looking for brand name clothing, come for random old items and accessories. Be prepared to sift through a lot of stuff, but also find something great.
Good spot for picking up some cheap shirts, hats, and other doodads
Amazing store. You can find almost anything you want. And prices are very reasonable too. Of course you must be careful, to avoid clothes with holes, as someone here already mentioned, but you get what you pay for.
If you are a spoiled rich kid from the suburbs and want to act all edgy and "cool"- this is the store for you!!! If you are a spoiled brat from Forest Hill and want to get back at daddy because he won't buy you that 75K BMW in black- THIS IS THE STORE FOR YOU!!! If you are really poor and need decent clothes: This is not the place for you.
The store is filthy, smells like grandmas attic and the clothing choice sucks bad. Aside from the knock off t's there is nothing here that you can't find at Value Village. In fact these clothes look like Value Village knock offs but hey enjoy your day saying you shopped on Queen Street West. Just don't forget: Park that BMW in the lot, not the street.
Worth exploring, especially if you like cheap "alt" clothes
Super hipster and youthful place! Everything $10 or less :)
If you like to be uniquely dressed and don't mind thrifty shopping, this is the place for you!
Awesome place to shop everything's ten bucks or less there's also a record shop and a fantastic barber shop in this underground oasis of awesome finds
Smells prettu dank buy good deals. Hot in there too. Cool people
Huge 2nd handed store, mostly clothing and accessories. Tons of variety and affordable prices, clean and tidy.
Boutique store. Apart from finding some second-hand clothes that are worthwhile, inside there is a record store and a barber shop. Good music
Only great stuff! And great prices! 20$ for vintage varsity jackets... thank you
I literally do 80% of my clothes shopping here and always get compliments (or at least comical reactions) about the shirts/sweaters/etc I pick up. You can't argue with $10 deals storewide! As added bonus you can grab some records at Shortstack or get a trim at the barbershop spots down there!
I didn't expect so many vintage pieces and especially for so cheap!
The place was very cool and incredibly cheap. You don't get to see jackets for only $10. The staff are alright though... not many are approachable to the customers and some areas in the store are dusty but other than that I find this store awesome I get to find items that are vintage that I can't find in malls. Definitely recommend this place.
When I go to Toronto, I visit Black Market Clothing. Better than Value Village, Goodwill, Etc for Rarities!
Black Market us moving across the street.... They've been in the same place for decades.... At least its not a major move!! They always have the best tee shirts!
I went to check this place out on my last visit to find some vintage clothing. For me this place was just ok. I found the store to be mostly organized but sometimes the men's and women's clothing racks were not organized in a logical way like most store i.e women's on one side men's on the other. If you go shopping here make sure you set aside no less than an hour for this treasure hunt, the store is big! The staff is really great and friendly and don't mind answering questions. One of the other plusses to this store is that if you do find something you like, it will probably be a really good deal.
This was without a doubt the worst shopping experience I've had in my life.
I spent a few hours shopping, at the end I complained to the woman working the change rooms that the album they were playing was extremely sexist. When she relayed the information to the man working the cash register, who I assumed was the owner he said tell them to screw off. When I further explained that I wasn't trying to complain, it was that the lyrics were terrible, he said if you don't like it go somewhere else. I left my items at the cash out and left.
I guess they're so popular they can afford to lose business. But me and the people close to me will not be supporting this business again. I felt sick leaving, being treated like that.
I love thrifting nowadays and "Black Market" is an amazing place to go to. I bought 2 denim jeans and 1 vintage denim pants, a sweatshirt and a 1$ T-shirt and it's freaking fancy af when I wear it. You can find some real good brand names in such a cool place to thrift. Not too crowded when I went there so it's pretty great. I will definitely be back there for some thrifiting again. Love the clothes so much.
I can spend hours in this place! So much great stuff to choose from.
Place is okay. Way too overhyped though, in my opinion
Everyrhing is used clothing but 10$ and under i love it here
I suggested they should do some silk screens of Charles Bronson, and the cashier acted disgusted? Maybe she thought I was talking about Charles Manson? Great store anyway!
Nearly as much variety as the old location. They upped the prices on premium vintage charging $40 or more for brands such as Levi s, whereas everything used to be $10. Can still go here for some great cheap vintage clothes, but be prepared to have to less selection than the previous location, along with higher priced
I can never make up my mind about what to get. The prices are always right here!
A great place to pick up a deal! $10 and under. Jackets, pants, t-shirts,, jewelery shoes, sunglasses and accessories! The place is massive and if you are willing to dig around you will leave with a gem! Well organized!
Pretty interesting place. There are alot of cheap clothes, accessories. There's also a barbershop and record store inside
Basically unchanged for 30 years, and I like that. Found a vintage RuPaul shirt there which brings me joy.
Awesome designs, cool retro clothes, loud Rock and Roll music. Totally wicked store
I was super excited for this place. No one bothered to say hello & the employees were swearing & complaining that they were bored. Despite it seeming like its organized, it's not. Really a shame since it has such great potiential.
this store needs more space. You don't even know where to start, you take one garment and three fall off. You need a dose of patience to find the clothes and more patience to return them and make room for them.
Awesome store, my secret weapon for every theme party I go to.
Always playing funky music, always a weird kinda vibe, always a good time. So many new and used clothes for so little dollars. Front graphic tees to strange finds to all the jean jackets you want. If that wasn't enough the place sells accessories, shoes, has a record shop (with great selection), and a hair salon. Sick place and hope it continues to thrive through the scary gentrification of this city!
Cool vibe, gotta be willing to do some digging though.
Fun and helpful staff and a huge amount of revolving selection
I stop by whenever I'm in TO; the selection couldn't be better. Prices are great and the vibe is just pure creativity and grunge.
Great for picking up your 2Cool4You starter set. Fun place to treasure hunt.
I usually pop in twice a year but the inventory rarely changes. It's always packed in there and it's a bit too cluttered for my liking. With that being said, you can find some extremely rare and unique shirts once in awhile and the prices are unbeatable
Always find at least one good thing here ! They have many selections of Levi's as well which I love!! Everything is $10!!
Really good selection of clothes and extremely prices. Must visit.
A stalwart of what Queen west used to be which is bohemian, accessible and colourful. I really hope this store sticks around for years to come.
