Great place to go for pretty much everything cloth...

Great place to go for pretty much everything clothing and accessory wise. The Black Market has a little bit of everything and everything from new trendy leather coats, and accessories to some legit war time hats from Russia and jackets from "Korea" (label from before it was split north and south).

I hadn't been here since high school but was pleasantly surprised when I visited recently. Still a great place! It's cheap and there are plenty of finds to be found. This place is a must for any thrift shopper in Toronto

I m not sure how this place has so many high ratings. The staff is honestly some of the most rude and unprofessional people I ve ever met. Just miserable, condescending, and unpleasant. Job doesn t seem that hard either so not sure what theyre rolling their eyes about so often. Asked the cashier how he was doing and got no response. Little brother then proceeded to ask him hey don t you guys have another location too? And the cashier just slammed a flyer with the other address on it and still didn t talk while he was ringing me up. My brother is blatantly a kid how unnecessary is that?

Selection of thrifts were just okay and the music really threw me off (punk isn't my thing). The selection might be better right after they get a new shipment so I'll go check it out at a later date and update the review.

Who knew shopping vintage could be a true experience? Black Market has a very unique, welcoming atmosphere, and very friendly staff willing to help. Clothing is cheap, and is especially great around Halloween if you're looking to make your own outfit from a mixture of many items. They also have a barbershop, records for sale, and many other small trinkets like belts, ties, necklaces, bracelets, etc...
If you're on Queen West, definitely check out Black Market. Even if you don't buy anything, you won't be disappointed with visiting this store.

YES! BLACK MARKET! This store is a staple of the queen west shopping experience. If you are thrifty and enjoy a good vintage deal then black market should be your first stop. Everything is 10 dollars... Like how can you go wrong with that? I recently bought an oversized denim jackets and it's awesome! Black market gives me life queen. I want to go to there now.

Everything is 10$, which is great for buying denim jackets, jeans, etc. But that being said the second hand t shirts covered in holes and stains are also 10$ which actually makes them pretty expensive. Its kind of a shame when you find some nice t shirts and the total comes out to 50$ at the cash register, I recommend going to value village if you want comfy tees for 3-5$. Other then that its a super cool place to shop, I always leave with something.

The light felt pretty dark and contrasts harshly, like a 90s Hongkong film. The selection is pretty overwhelming.

You'll probably find something great here, but beware part of the stuff is lower end. If you're looking for a selective experience that'll not be here.

Because I work fast.

Because I work fast.

I understand you have to do your job, but when an individual pleads with you, the least you can do is respectfully decline with a smile.

Thanks for the free shirt on my way out

Oh FYI

I m gonna shut this particular store down.

Appreciate the Mistreatment.

The staff were great. Really gave a great experience. Carefully wrapped my purchase. Selection you have trouble finding else where in Toronto. Finally a place that plays good music in there store. :)

My favourite vintage store in Toronto, hands down. Trendy, in fashion, and inexpensive (everything is $10, and sometimes even less). There is a great selection of cheap vinyls at the back as well.

This place is well organized mayhem. Vintage and niche interest tees, all sorts of accessories if you are looking for a t-shirt that screams 'this is me' they will probably have it. Huge vintage selection! A fun place to browse around.

Everything is very fairly priced, the selection, while not amazing, is consistent, what there is is good quality, and you can find some real gems on occasion.

Yes, it's a basement. No, it's still awesome

For $10 an item, how can anyone complain? The store is massive and has a large range of most items - particularly denim and casual tops! Not that many dresses but still got a cute one. Enjoyed the loud hip hop.

First time there today, store seemed ok.
Just happened to be close to there after work, needed cpl pair of jeans for work.
Didn't care how they looked as long as they fit.
Knowing my size and in a rush to get home, browsed through the rack grabbed 2 listed as my size, n left.
Like I said don't care how they look as long as they fit, they're gonna get destroyed anyway.
Got em home, neither were the size listed. One was off by 4 inches other by 2.
So basically bought garbage n wasted.my time n money.
So y'know if your gonna take the time to label n price them. Can you at least take the time to make sure the size listed is accurate?
Not everybody wants or has time to try on dirty, used jeans.

I can't believe that everything is ~$10 in here. Bought a leather jacket, some really comfortable shirts, even a face mask for the winter that I used the whole season and everything was $10 each. Amazing store.

The smell here is funky as heck, a super strong smell of "old." My nose started getting runny after a few minutes in the store. The stuff here is alright for the price, and there's a lot to see. I would definitely come back to visit. I bought a lovely white bomber jacket here for $11.30 plus tax, and its really good quality. A lot of the stuff here is pretty low quality but there are plenty of gems.

I've always had a pretty good experience coming in to this store. The vintage finds are amazing and the atmosphere is pretty dope. The change rooms are very few and a little small, but other than that, black market is great. AND EVERYTHING IS $10 AND UNDER... just saying!

PSA: When thrifting, everything you see may be a little hard to resist. When picking up your items, think of what you already own. It will be easier to think of what items go with what. It helps so that you don't just pick up cool items that you probably won't wear. Just a little tip

I've never been to such a random vintage store with a record store and a barber shop inside. Very nice, huge and with great deals. Totally recommend it, NOT the Kensington market which is SUPER overpriced.

Never have been let down by this place $10 for anything like come on... how can you say no.. there are so many things that have been altered or are so unique you know no one else will have them in their closet. Worth the visit if your a local or travelling from out of town.
