Lovely little place. Great food. Good service. Planned on leaving a tip but decided not to after the whole bill saga !!!! Firstly we had items on our bill that we hadn't even ordered. Once that was rectified we tried to split the bill 3 ways, 2 via card and 1 cash. Unfortunately the person taking the payments didn't fully understand what we were trying to do. Furthermore she kept calculating everything manually which was taking a while. My friend tried to look at the bill and she had her hand wafted away as did I when I was trying to take my cash back. Very rude !!! Not quite sure why the whole thing was made into such a big deal when it could've been very simple. Shame really cuz the food and our waitress was lovely. It was just the person who sorted the bill that spoilt the experience.

The food was pretty mediocre - warmish but served on cold plates. Rice with beef bourginon was an "extra" but there was no other option given. Bakewell "cake" was rather stodgy. Wouldn't go there again.

Good prices, lovely food, friendly wait staff. Went for a mid-week meal and had the 3 courses for 14.95. Starters of duck spring rolls and Korean chicken were really tasty though only two "pieces" each plate (though if you're getting 3 courses that doesn't really matter). I had the chicken linguine which had a creamy pesto sauce, and my partner had fish and chips. The fish and chips were brilliant, the batter was nicely crispy and the chips were great. Desserts were a knockout - a warm caramel apple pie and a biscuit cheesecake which were both delicious. Our waitress was very sweet and friendly and helped us pick out our desserts.

This place is simply amazing. Great atmosphere, brilliant staff, food is excellent and the value for money is phenomenal. I have eaten in many top restaurants, many Michelin starred, and whilst this is a different experience to those, I can honestly say that I enjoyed my meal at Bistro Noir more than most other restaurants I've eaten in. Any less than excellent reviews you may see about this place are generally down to it being a victim of its own success. I saw people being turned away all the time whilst we were eating because the place was packed full. So if you turn up with no reservation and they try their best to accommodate you, don't complain when you don't get what you want. My advice to anybody is to book in advance if you can. This place will only get busier and busier.

Avoid at all costs!! Amateur staff with bad attitude and poor food. They're okay until you get sub-standard food - and then they treat you as if it's YOU who's in the wrong. After a bad experience there 2 years ago, I decided to give them another chance last week. Unfortunately, it's not better, but heaps worse! I won't be going again.

When booking for a large group with an age range from 8yrs to 82yrs you want your dinning experience to be enjoyabe for all and i can say that all 18 wre in agreement that ours was. The friendly, welcoming good humoured staff coldnt have been helpful or polite . Spoilt for choice we awaited our starters which arrived without delay. The presentationwas a feast for the eyes and the flavours left the taste buds wanting more .As soon as we were ready the mains were served salmon ,steak, ravioli, curried goat, jerk chicken, veg dahl such an array of gastromonic delights. Some time was needed to choose our desserts, yet again we were truely spoilt by the array of delectable cakes and tarts on offer( Iam sure that if some of us had had the room we would have ordered two desserts) .desserts devoured our Bistro Nior culinary experience was over . The whole ambiance of Bisto Nior is one we would reccomend and we will ourselves be experiencing sooner rather than later.

Super service from attentive but not overbearing friendly staff. 3 courses for a tenner, what an absolute bargain: the salt fish ackee on ciabatta bread was delicious, the homemade burger was seasoned wonderfully. Alas, due to being completely stuffed there was no way that I could be tempted by the range of delicious desserts, though many customers we're eyeing the scrumptious display. Great decor and music. Chill zone. Will be visiting again very soon!

Depending on when you go, you can get three courses for an extremely reasonable price. The food was good, but didn't stand out. Always good to see gluten free options available though. Came with a cosy atmosphere and friendly staff.

Had a lovely meal on Saturday with my husband.. Food was delicious.. Highly recommend the Sri Lanka curry.. Staff very friendly...So sad though to see it so quite..The sooner this COVID does a runner the better and these Fab little restaurants can get back to some kind of normality
