I purchased Quickbooks Desktop and called to ask how to accept credit card payments. After being on hold for 45 minutes speaking with two agents, I was told it is not possible to do this.

Why it took 45 minutes, i will never know, but if you purchase from Intuit be prepared to solve your own problems as their customer care is 0

I've managed the digital strategy of some of the biggest CPG brands in the country and have never experienced customer service like I did today with their Community Manager "AB". Prompt, personalized responses and they didn't even make me call a 1-800 number. Using this interaction as a case study and will continue to refer my consulting and freelancing friends to Quickbooks for their accounting needs. Thanks guys!

I participated in a research study for Intuit. They sent me an email that I would be compensated $150 after the study. After an hour and a half of answering their question the person moderating the study, Jennifer Steeves said, So we owe you some money. It will be a gift card coming from another department. Give us a few days to get into contact with them. Now I didn't sign up for a gift card, I signed up for $150 cash. I didn't make a big deal about it at the time. The study was on November 27th and I am yet to receive my incentive. As someone who has worked in market research if you say, $150 after thr study. It is understood that you will receive money in an envelope before you leave the building. They misrepresented themselves and waiting almost a month for an incentive, for a research study is ridiculous.

I sincerely mean this when I say, out of any business on the planet this has to be the worst, inept, uncaring business out there. This team is clearly inept at solving my issue of simply changing my plan from $50 to $20 per month. That's all I want. Instead it's been months of technical support, dozens of emails, stating my case over and over and over again simply to change pa plan and they still won't even refund my money!! Please look elsewhere for payment and invoicing solutions. Quickbooks sucks!

Intuit has hit us with steep price increases every year for our 5-user Quickbooks Pro system. They know they have you captive with their software, and can hold you to ransom once it's an integral part of your business. How about a price break during the pandemic? Microsoft are sweethearts by comparison with the very reasonable cost and superb support for their Office 365 system. Would love to find another company that is not as rapacious as Intuit, but it's not easy to switch.

I'm blown away by how incompetent the support team is here. Today I spent three and a half hours with two different tech support members. The first one told me wrong information ruining my QuickBooks master file. The next one couldn't provide any helpful information and suggested that I call back at a later time. He also could not provide a ticket reference number because the "system was down". It's a punch in the gut after the prices they charge. Disgraceful.

Everytime I contact Intuit Canada's support group, I get a very quick response and answers to my questions about navigating something that has surfaced and that requires more experience with the use of the program. And when there is uncertainty, there is no hesitation to suggest I consult our accountant to avoid any discrepencies. The support is much appreciated.

Worst, ever, possible respect for the customer. Want to be ripped off ? you have come to the right place.

Further to my first experience, I had the misfortune of having to call CS. They have redefined the meaning of double standard: They must record you but they will not let you record the conversation. Left an email to a CS rep and it took over three WEEKS to reply. Can I change to ZERO stars.

Since going private, little bugs have started showing up in my 30 year old database. I am having to phone more often to find out why the data is disappearing - mostly on the investment module. The support is very good but there is no way to escalate an issue if an agent doesn't know the product as well as the next. I don't know how much longer I will be able to use the product before it gets so many bugs it becomes obsolete. That would be a shame because it is the best software ever, bar none.

QB constantly freezes interfacing with bank software. Cannot consistently link with Outlook 365. Very slow to fix software bugs and adding such things as class type to input pages. Support reps are generally good and are helpful. Many good software features, though and forgiving for non accounting types. Pretty comprehensive but would like a few more custom fields and a periodic payment setup to align VAT payments to the proper period tax payment schedule.

Brutal App for quickbooks self employed. You can t do quotes, can t separate subtotal from Gst on your expenses. Can t really add in decent notes for making bills. Then trying to cancel your account is like an hour long process. They make it so you can t log into your subscription and cancel it. Their support service people can barely speak English. Awful. Wish I would have never tried it.

Have been using their software for personal taxes for years. Just tried their Turbotax business incorporated, and it did not live up to standards with the usefulness or friendliness of their personal tax software. Unless ur an accountant, it s not easy to do yourself.

Laura helped me with a QBO problem and never gave up. She messaged me several times to ask how our research was going and diagnosed the problem correctly. I felt supported and not so alone with my problem! Thank you Laura!

I've been a customer for 17 years and have had a subscription for the last 10 years. I now am retired and my last payment for 2019 is this month and I want to cancel my 2020 subscription. Intuit tells me if I cancel my subscription for the coming year, that I will not have access to my 2019 files. How can that be since I paid $50. a month all year for 2019? I believe that the 2019 QB files belong to me since I paid it. If I cancel my National Geographic subscription, I don't have to return all my issues, do I? Intuit tells me I have to buy another software from them to download all my 2019 files????? Where is the Customer Loyalty here and why are they keeping me from accessing my 2019 files when I paid for them??? Someone, please help! Dianne

By far the worst customer experience I've had in my career.

A well designed software structure to remove increasing amounts of money from your bank account, while providing as little back as possible.

If you need to resolve a real problem be prepared to spend the day dealing with carefully crafted customer service roadblocks.

Intuit has not resolved the issue I received with their program, Mint, with multiple transactions disappearing. If that were not bad enough, our credit card account with joint cards got mysteriously and randomly split into two accounts all of a sudden. Spent hours contacting Intuit Mint, several times. Escalation and Re-escalation . They did not care, or take any corrective steps, after I finally told them that I d be sharing my story over social media if they didn t fix the problem in 72 hours (In fact, I gave them 120 hours). Judging by some of the similar experiences shared on social media, I see others recommending Quicken (even though it costs), and I think their rate of new customers may indeed Quicken soon (at the very least by 1), as this Mint apparently continues to dissolve leaving a bad taste in the mouth. If this were not bad enough . Intuit Mint has allowed another post with a fraud customer service number to continue to exist on their Facebook page for 3 months now. This alone should leave Intuit Mint clients concerned. Very concerned. By the way, Intuit Mint, before you tell me to contact you (for the nth time) in giving the appearance of customer care , I will in fact ask you to contact me. Maybe then we can discuss how you might retain me, and how I might take down this post here, and elsewhere I am sharing.

Work order is originally submitted May 17th. Each week phone calls were made to attempt to obtain follow-up. Each time someone promised follow-up and each time zero follow up after a week for three weeks. It was June 9th before someone actually responded to the case and admitted how awfully they had handled things to date. After a brief moment of sanity the case was passed off to someone else who promised that after so many bungles they would send daily updates on completion. This was followed by zero communication for the following week. Finally calling to ask for a supervisor, wait on hold for 15 minutes, promised an urgent call back. Guess what, two days later, still no follow-up. See a pattern? Almost six weeks later nothing has been done. This business absolutely cannot be trusted.

They put a lip service reply on all feedback to give the appearance of being responsive. My time, money and data are safer and better served with a spreadsheet. I am exporting my data out of this cash grab nonsense and going "back" to old tech that works. Based on use of the Quickbooks Online software - Atrocious. Avoid this platform. Given the time Intuit has spent in this space it's incredible to me that they haven't managed to create a basically functional invoicing and payroll system. So much functionality, let alone customization, is simply absent or backwards in implementation. No visibility of data for basic financial indicators. Data changes almost always require multiple layers of navigation per field per employee. OT will auto-calculate on the highest employee rate even if it's a holiday rate. If you manually fix and save this it will not be saved. Since the data about pay rates is invisible during the payroll process there's no way to even see the bug. Designed to cause failure. Nothing intuitive about Intuit. #ready4better
