Took some service users to see the lights it was lovely even though it rained was a little disappoint that it's not all wheel chair or push chair friendly so couldn't see all of the attractions, parking isn't great for disabled especially wheel chair users and non existent for other car users and not enough room to get wheel chair users out of the car

I spent about 4 hours walking around the gardens. It was during the Ice age show. Admittedly, it took me a while to get used to the noises coming from the display animals but despite that I found the place quite calming.

COURT VICTORY AGAINST CIVIL ENFORCEMENT

COURT VICTORY AGAINST CIVIL ENFORCEMENT
As I wrote in a previous post I had many threatening letters from Civil Enforcement . Intimidating Bullies who manage Birmingham Botanical gardens car park. After letters from Civil Enforcement I received further threats from debt collection agencies ,then Solicitors acting on their behalf. After ignoring all of them Civil Enforcement took me to court in Worcester.
The Judge ruled, that he was satisfied I had received verbal permission from staff members to use the car park. This constituted a VERBAL CONTRACT ! Although I didn't register on their machine. Which did overide Civil Enforcement s contract to manage the car park as Botanical gardens are the owners !!
I assume this has set a legal precedent. Therefore anyone who gains verbal permission from any staff member to park should not have to pay Car Park Charge Notice ( CPN)
THE JUDGE ORDERED CIVIL ENFORCEMENT TO PAY COURT COSTS , LEGAL FEES

THE CHEQUE ARRIVED YESTERDAY
THANK YOU CIVIL ENFORCEMENT. DINNER IS ON YOU !!!!!!

It is a well maintained garden. The only issue is that the names are hard to read. If you are just looking and enjoying perfect place to go I am a landscaper and I want to know the names if some of the trees a little hard to find. I would give it stars on the beautiful garden and the people were all so very nice.

I simply adore the botanical gardens, I ve spent many a weekend walking around taking in the beautiful surroundings and gathering my thoughts. They are truly beautiful, you have to see the gardens in person to appreciate their true beauty. You will learn something from each and every visit. I still get lost in thought in the butterfly farm. They often have events throughout the year so be sure to check their calendar, it gets very busy and I personally prefer to visit at quieter times. The cafe has a simple menu although it is expensive given the quality of product supplied, if you have special dietary requirements you may be better off bringing your own food.

Quite small building with very large surrounding grounds. Very interesting and diverse flora in the main atrium, but not that impressive compared to Leeds' Tropical World which has much more to see in a much more lively and entertaining manner for similar money.

First to b said is 7.50 to get is a reasonable price we were there for about 2.5 hours. But we felt a number of the displays were in need of some tlc. Especially the herb garden and the three historic gardens

Great place for lovers of plants and flowers to visit. Very educational, there are indoor and outdoor displays, amazing to visit in the summer and have a picnic in the ample greenland spaces outside. Great to have a picnic and stroll about with family and kids.

Attended the evening Christmas lights and whilst I was initially concerned it was expensive to attend, when we got there (parking was challenging be prepared for a walk) we were pleasantly surprised as the lights were very professionally put together, beautifully staged and the 90 mins we spent moving through the gardens were uplifting. There were plenty of food and drink options and the passion fruit and ginger marshmallows that we were able to toast ourselves over the charcoal was awesome. We probably won't go again for a few years as we have now experienced the evening lights but if you haven't been it is recommended.

Really well laided out and maintained I enjoyed seeing all the different plants and there different sections but I must say that the managers of the gardening staff should be aware that paying such LOW wages to hard working staff doesn't do More

I have only ever visited this place once, last February for a wedding fair with the intention of marrying there. NEVER will I visit again. We have been in dispute regarding a parking fine which still isn't resolved. Botanical gardens have offered no support whatsoever and I'm just incredibly disappointed with the place. It's strongly influenced my decision NOT to marry here. Who would have thought that a FREE wedding fair event with FREE parking (both advertised as FREE) would lead to so much stress and anxiety. Best to avoid the place at all cost or at least avoid parking here. A complete con.

This may be a lovely place to visit but I won't know as I will not be going. I have tried numerous times to get through on the general enquiries department at different times of the day to no avail. I wanted to ask about facilities for disabled visitors as the website does not provide this information. I am very disappointed and will try elsewhere.

I also object to having to select one star before I can post my 'review' when I would prefer to provide a minus star on this occasion.
