Fabulous local experience!!! The beer is tasty with lots of variety, plenty of space for small or large groups, dogs and kids are allowed! Parking is mostly street parking, but not bad for 1st Ave. A GREAT summer location and totally BHAM!

Not a beer drinker myself. Went in for the first time with a friend to relax for a while. The bartender Jana hooked me up on some samples of a couple of different brews and we found one I like. I truly appreciate such excellent service, and I will definitely be returning in the near future with friend. Would recommend this venue without a hesitation.

Amazing experience with incredibly tasty brews! We were visiting from out of town and we always like checking out local breweries. This place looked cool and a majority of their beers were IPAs, which I love, so we decided to check it out. The brewery was incredible and the interior space was super cool. It was early Friday afternoon so we basically had the place all to ourselves. The bartender was incredible nice and really made us feel welcome. We tried a couple samplers to start with and then ended up ordering pints of the Juicy IPA, the Bearded Lady, and the Snakehandler. They also had a really good sour, the Funk Farm. To top of an amazing experience, our bartender gave us incredible recommendations on where to eat dinner later that night and what spots to hit up during the Bama game that we were going to the next day. We left with a couple crowlers to bring home, which made it back on the plane safe and sound. Our experience here was so good that I want to schedule another trip to Birmingham just to visit this brewery again! Thank you for making such tasty brews and for giving us an amazing experience!

Awesome environment with the new tap room accompanied by their delicious beer. Typically always have some sort of event going on throughout the week and one of the best places to go before walking across the street to watch the Birmingham Barons.

I am at LEROYS in the back alley behind the Capri Movie Theatre in Montgomery, ALABAMA. I am drinking Good People because of the following:
a) I Think Global Act Local
b) Brewed and 1st canned beer in the state of Alabama
c) They sponsor Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival (Sidewalk Fest) in Birmingham
d) I like the pick up truck logo
e) It just works for me! ! !

I've never considered writing a review for a business but this business deserves it. Good People has shown me that Alabama knows how to make a damn fine beer. I'm from Louisiana, where we take our alcohol very seriously. Good People's Pale Ale is absolutely amazing. It is easily the best pale ale in the south and likely in the country.

Good People was one of the first breweries to move into downtown and start transforming the cityscape. There isn't food (although there are usually food trucks outside or nearby), but there is tons of great beer. You can buy Good People beer here that you can't buy in stores. They have games like giant-sized Jenga. Good seating indoor and outdoor. Most of the seating is community. There's also a gift shop. Go here, to appreciate the brief but growing and flourishing history of breweries in Birmingham.

Good solid beer from these guys, snake handler is one of my favorite IPAs right now. However, I was not too thrilled about what they are doing In the tasting room as far as pricing goes. I went in there and ordered a flight of beer and just pretty much sampled 4 4oz beers which adds up to 16 oz (pint). I ended up paying $16 for what added up to be one beer. I guess they do it to sway people into just buying a pint of beer rather than a flight but a guy like me, who comes from out of town just to try their beer, is going to want to get a flight. Either way, I have gone to better breweries and spent less than half of that on a flight of beer so I guess that is why I am a little bummed on their tasting room.

Good People is a fantastic brewery -- their beers are my favorite in town. Their servers are polite and knowledgeable. The brewery itself is really spacious, and you can sit at the bar or at large tables (big enough for groups) around the space.

You definitely know you're in a brewery at Good People -- the ambiance is very rustic and the tanks are obvious no matter where you're sitting -- but the place is still welcoming, partly because there are games (like cornhole and a really big Jenga set) both inside and out.

During Barons games, Good People gets really busy, but they usually open up a second bar on those nights, so it's not too crowded. A few nights a week they have live music, there are often sports projected onto the big screen, and they invite food trucks into the parking lot on busy nights.

Oh, and you can bring your dog!

Good (vast) selection of beers and ales, friendly staff. WiFi if you want to work and drink.

The outside area is very nice, inside it can be very loud, some noise dampening measures might do wonders. The food truck on the outside yelling out names every few minutes can get a bit annoying.

Do not go there to watch sport!!!
I was there for the championship league final. They have three TVs, they main one on a projector was 20 secs behind another one. How can you watch a game when the rest of the people already know if the play turned out as a goal or not? The TV ahead was freezing the image all the times and had subtitles. Horrible, how can you play subs on a game? And worse there was no sound or commentary... I mean if you good people don't know how to show properly a sport event, just don't. You just ruin people experience. I had to leave and watch it somewhere else. Yeah good beer

Directly across from Regions field I hear it's pretty busy on game night. They do tours on Saturday afternoons. The large doors make it feel open to the atmosphere plus pets are welcome. They have a decent amount of beers on tap with enough variety to appease the picky.

I realize, this place isn't called Good People just beacuse the name. Literally the FRIENDLIST, GOOD, staff i ever met at a brewery. So cool and welcoming!! Beers are great, venue is groovy, and there was yoga happening in the back?? sweet!

Went here as a stop on a brewery tour from Jacksonville and was pleasantly surprised! The brut IPA is a must try! The staff was very kind and even let us see the brewery when the tour was already over as a courtesy which is the theme and the name...good people!

Very open atmosphere with a nice variety of beer, I only tried two beers but I'd like to come back and try some more! If you're looking for a hustling and bustling area to grab a drink and just hangout, this is the place!

We've been here more times than we'd care to admit and Good People is definitely our favorite brewery in town. They have a solid selection of seasonal and specialty beers and even better local staples. The standard Good People IPA is a beer I've gone to for a long time when I need a mellow, hoppy brew and theres no better place to get one than at the source.

They have a large outside patio with cornhole, jenga, and food trucks and are pet friendly.

Convenient location and right across the street from Regions Field for before and after drinking. Outside patio has corn hole and also a large scale jenga with 2x4 pieces of wood. Our tour guide did a great job of going through the whole brewing process and even letting us sample some of the beer out of the tanks. Great experience!

Bring your dog (and get complimentary water), do some yoga on Tuesdays, enjoy live bands or a game of jenga. You don't just come here for the great beer-- there's a variety for every taste-- this is by far one of my favorite places to meet up with friends and the location is perfect to do so.

I'm rpadtripping across America and you were my Alabama stop. The people who work here really are just good people. The bartender immediately understood my conundrum of driving but wanting a beer taste, dragged me around the corner where they mix and matched their six packs and helped me pick out what to take with me for her state. Amazing customer service and each one I crack open has been above average to excellent in their styles. Lovely place and they donate to charity. Come anytime, they're worth the stop!

Loved this place since back when it was basically a garage, and it's beautiful how they've renovated it. A great place to watch soccer games and the quality/variety of beer is top notch. Proud to have this brewery in Birmingham.
