This venue is a little tired, but a fantastic place to visit in the heart of Birmingham. Glasshouses and garden are wonderful to explore. The facilities were functional and the staff attentive and helpful. Its not quite Kew but its the next best thing i have visited in this country

It was good afternoon out, however felt like the gardens could have been looked after a bit better, some of the plants could have been presented better. The main highlight was the free roaming peacocks. Got a little bored after an hour or so of looking around.

We really like it here. Its great in the glasshouse areas with all the tropical plants. The outside gardens look different all year round with Spring and Autumn being the best in my opinion.
Great play areas for the kids (& adults). Peacocks are brilliant.
Take your own picnic as the onsite restaurant gets really busy and is rather expensive.
Car parking can be pretty tight as when we went, it was the last space (half term). Parking is free as pong as you enter your reg inside the reception area.

We came to the 'Ice Age' event which the kids enjoyed, however the gardens themselves are stunning. Will be even better in summer with everything in bloom.
Got lucky enough to see one of the peacocks in full show-off mode!

I went at the botanical garden in April. It was a beautiful sunny day and I wanted to enjoy a relaxing day with my girlfriend at the botanical garden. To my surprise I found the price inflated to 14 pounds per person because of the ice age events. I could not care less and I wanted just the gardens but there is no option for that. They want to force feed you the ice age event. Lame

Had a great afternoon with a couple of close friend last Sunday.
Took a small picnic and listened to a duet of lady jazz singer and accompanying guitarist. Very pleasant indeed.
Can recommend it especially for the next few Sundays as there will be different artists appearing and it's all in with the entrance fee.
Obviously you also have the beautiful gardens to look around too. Enjoy !

Great green space in middle of Birmingham. Enjoyable for whole family. In addition to plants, bird aviary x 2 and playgrounds with Peacocks wondering around freely. Cafe is pricey but gift shop is very good. Hold events throughout the year.

Went on the first weekend of reopening after Covid. Lovely place, but needs to be better geared up following lockdown. The hand sanitiser dispenser as we entered was empty. And maps need to be made available as you ve no idea where you re going unless you re familiar with the place.

Very run down, the glass houses were nice and there was a great Brass Band playing. We had a sandwich which was average for the price and the gentleman serving made us feel like we were causing him an inconvenience ordering as he was training someone to use the coffee machine, we nearly walked out but it was raining and we were famished!

We visited here for the 'The Lost Kingdom: Ice Age' my little boy loved seeing all the prehistoric animals, I highly recommend anyone interested in this subject to go. Apart from the animals the gardens looked really nice and well looked after

Quite small but usually plenty of activities going on. Has a decent kids play area. Just watch out for the parking, its limited and if you are not really careful you will get a parking fine here!

Absolutely fabulous! Came for the gardens and afternoon tea on a voucher with my mum. Also brought my dad, and paid for his entry. The guys dealing with afternoon tea were fantastic, especially as we snuck my dad in extra (we thought it'd be in the cafe and we could just buy coffee and cake. It's not). They provided extra sandwiches and coffee to make sure the food stretched between three, and the food and service was excellent. The plants and gardens themselves were beautiful as always. Always enjoy looking at the birds too

Visited these beautiful gardens for the first time yesterday and was not disappointed. Had a lovely day. My 10 year old daughter loved exploring all the different areas. Great place for a relaxing afternoon and young children will love exploring this place. Nice area for picnics. Gift shop is lovely and my daughter loved spending her pocket money in there. Very beautiful place. Nothing bad to say.

The gardens were beautiful. It was a lovely space to share. When we went there were small children rolling down a bank and running around. It's so good to have a safe place to play in a busy city. The coffee shop had interesting cakes too.
Parts of the gardens(buildings mostly) looked a bit tired but didn't detract from the overall fabulousness. I especially loved the greenhouses.
