I've bought three Big Table orthopedic mattresses and am due to buy a fourth. I think that just about sums it up. I can't imagine buying one from another store.

I just love, love, love my new bed and mattress from Big Table!

Kim is lovely and advised me really well on the choice of mattress and the delivery and set-up was brilliant. I can't recommend them highly enough. You will just have to try for yourself!

Ordered a bed and mattress online. Delivered and assembled by Tony, because I'm outside the M25. The whole process from start to finish was very smooth, and delivery was about a week after I ordered. Couldn't fault the service, or the product. Best night's sleep in ages!

These beds are so good that I returned 20 years later to buy another. My first Big Table bed now lives in South Africa, and is still as comfy as ever.
I am back in the UK for a short while and before I return to S.A I have bought my second Big Table bed.
Let's hope they are still around in another 20 years !!

We bought a bed and mattress for my elderly mother in law and would not hesitate to recommend the Big Table. We could not have been happier with the service or the product. The staff/owners were really helpful, friendly and knowledgeable (and not at all pushy). She did not order it until early December and so we were really pleased to get it delivered before Christmas.They did everything they said they would at the agreed time as far as delivery was concerned and went out of their way to assist re dismantling and removing the old bed and mattress. The bed and mattress are great pieces of craftsmanship and my wife's mother reports everything is very comfortable and she is definitely sleeping better than before..

I've had two Big Table beds since 1991. Only replaced the mattresses this year. They are very comfortable, sturdy and last. Their customer service is incredible, they fit a delivery into a perfect time for me, and helped me fix a minor problem with the older bed (a frame they sold me over 20 years ago, no charge for a part I needed). Their beds look great too, much better than those bulk pine furniture shops, quality well worth it.

Been here 42 years I believe, hand made strong bed frames , equally good mattreses, choce of four I think!

I've had my big table bed for almost 15 years. Love it, mattress is so comfortable and the bed is not only attractive but good quality, having weathered numerous moves, including one to Asia! Staff are very helpful and friendly and I consider Big Table 'a find' for bed stores in London.

I bought my king size Luxury style mattress from the Big Table around 3 years ago. Recently part of the mattress lost support and I contact the Big Table. I have long term back problem and due to that fault my back pain came back. They came to check the mattress after 3 weeks. The guy agreed that something wrong with it and advised he will go back to the shop and will contact me back. No one contact me back, when I called them after a week they said it was my fault and it might got damaged when I turn over the mattress. Changing side of the mattress it what Big Table advise initially when you buy mattress from them. When I told them that this is not fair to blame me on their fault he told me "can't do anything" and hung up the call.... Big table charge high price but the quality is poor and customer service is very rude. My advice is look for another mattress company which stand behind the guarantee policy, big table is certainly not!!!!

I have just purchased my third set of beds from Big Table. Set 1 in 1995 is still going strong although with a new mattress. Set 2 in 2009 has original mattresses and is still in use. Set 3 has just been purchased.
When we moved from London to Derby to built our new house I did not hesitate to contact Kim at Big Table to supply more beds. It was well worth the trip down to the showroom to pick out the beds we needed. Tony at AHL Logistics has been brilliant in delivering and assembling them for us.
The beds are robust, well made and long lasting, and the mattress (luxury ortho) very comfortable. The service provided by Big Table is friendly and helpful and I consider the beds to be good value for money if you want something a little different to everyone else.

I have recently bought a bunk bed and mattresses for my girls and a new bed and mattress for us....what can i say, We all love them, the quality is amazing, they look good, strong and very comfortable to sleep, play...and do whatever you like on them!!!
They are ethically made by lovely people who live and work in our community!

Have moved house 3 times with 3 of these bed bases - the oldest is nearly 20 years old and still in perfect condition! Takes minutes to put them together and they're super sturdy. Staff are incredibly helpful - can't recommend more highly!

For years I've been walking past this place and for years I've said "if I ever need a bed, this is where I'll get it". And I'm glad I did. Excellent service, no hassle, very friendly and informative, no hard sell at all. "Go on", the lady said to us, "lie down and try it out". She also said I should have just come in for a lie down all those times I walked past. It's a family run business and you can tell. The trust was refreshing -- no payment asked for until the day before delivery. Delivery arrived promptly within a 2-hour window. Bed was constructed super efficiently -- they barely had time to have their tea. Clear instructions left, lots of flattery on my house and the piece of wood used for the frame, and they were off to make another customer happy. The bed is amazing. The mattress is amazing. I've always loved bed, and now it's even more difficult to leave it. Thank you, Big Table. Keep up the good work. And I'm very glad CrossRail did not get to demolish your building!

Still excellent customer service on the bed I bought two years ago. After a less than meticulous set of removal men who damaged the bits that keep the head and tail boards attached and stripped some screws, I got replacement sent in the mail the next day. And in a little bag made from their distinctive mattress cover material! Still a great bed, still a great mattress and still a great place to shop from. Can't recommend Big Table more!

I bought another bed, this time 3.6ft and had it made a few inches higher than the usual ones, great quality, healthier than divans, value for money.

Kim's genuine nature and level of customer service blew me away - and I wasn't even a customer! I wasn't looking for a bed and was out on a run - my phone ran out of battery and the rain was bucketing it down. She very kindly charged my phone for me, let me warm up by a radiator and even hop in one of the beds to try it out! Reading the other reviews The Big Table go far and beyond in all areas of service and quality - and I will think hard about going anywhere else when I next need a bed!

No returns accepted - I would double check when buying.
I was disappointed with the way I was treated on the phone, and was adviced that I could resell it on ebay.
Also staff was friendly when I bought a double mattress but not when I rang them with a problem.
The mattress was terribly bouncy and there was nothing orthopaedic about it, cost me so much money as well as the worst backaches.
They were not able to help me with the delivery due to being too busy, I had to arrange and pay for my own.

Wonderful bed frames and the most comfortable mattress I've ever had

100% wonderful experience!! From going to the workshop and hand choosing my bed's design and colours, and testing all the mattresses. It's so close to the station, that its well worth popping in (even though I live in Kent). Kim was wonderful and we had a laugh in the store, as well as discussing the options. There was no pressure AT ALL.
The bed was delivered on time, by the lovely Tony. Delivery cost was reasonable, considering it was being delivered to Kent AND assembled. He even helped me move my old bed out and down stairs.
After care has not stopped there - as the shag pile on my carpet is so think, the drawers didn't slide properly, so they are helping me get that sorted too.
I recommend this company a thousand times over any other bed company.

Amazing shop, with incredible customer service. I would highly recommend Big Table and going to have a look around their showroom and trying out the different mattresses they make. If I ever need another bed or mattress I will only come here. Delivery service and set up is also excellent. The negative review below by Rami seems completely out of character.

The Big Table Bed Shop has been providing my family with beds and mattresses of exceptional quality for decades.
The quality of their work is such that we have not had to return or replace any of the products for the last 15 years. I highly recommend them to anyone buying a bed as they have exceeded are expectations and the comfort of their products cannot be matched.

I needed to buy a mattress for an antique brass bed I had, when several friends recommended Big Table Bed Shop. I incorporated a trip from Somerset to visit the shop. It's a fabulous place.
I felt like Goldilocks, when Kim the shop owner and maker, suggested I snuggled down with pillow and bedding to choose the best mattress for me. With guidance from Kim, I decided on the luxury mattress. It's an absolutely great quality and I have a fabulous sleep every night.
Ps. I bought a supporting base for my mattress over my brass bed leg irons, more substantial than slats I thought. Also I turn my mattress regularly as suggested by shop.

The most comfortable beds ever.
I have had a king size and luxury mattress for many years and it still as solid and sturdy as when I first bought it. I have recently purchased bunks for the children with the super ortho luxury mattresses and they are absolutely beautiful.
Excellent quality and very reasonably priced.
I love these beds and the staff are approachable, friendly, helpful and happy.
Good idea to visit the showroom and try out the different matresses.

I have had my new mattress for a month now and my life has changed as a result! It is so comfortable and no more stiff back in the morning. The delivery was excellent too, exactly on time and so efficient despite having to carry it (super king size) up four flights of stairs. Would recommend Big Table to everyone. I bought a bed 3 years ago and love it. Perfect firmness and had some good guidance on picking which to go with.

When I got the bed home, my mum asked me where I had bought it and it turns out that 30 years prior, I was born in a Big Table Bed Company Bed! We have traveled the world and I live in South London, so the chances of this ... I am going to have to put it down to fate!

Really comfortable mattress whilst not being too hard or soft. Beautiful natural non toxic materials. Brilliant service and lovely people. Amazing value in comparison with other similar quality mattresses. We ve had ours for 4 years and it hasn t changed

i visited this unique shop recently and chatted to the friendly owner about the history of the building. it's such a beautiful space inside and the products look great too. worth a visit!

I have three 'Original' bed frames and a 'Luxury' mattress going back 25 years. Elegant, solid and intelligently designed, they are among the best household purchases I have ever made. Note to North American expats, Kingsize (UK) = Queensize (NA), Super Kingsize (UK) = Kingsize (NA).

Fantastic from start to finish - lovely shop, lovely staff but above all a prefect bed made and delivered quickly and exactly to our specifications. So nice to find a genuine London shopfront business where you can go and see the beds and try them all with no sales pressure at all. I have been meaning to write this review for over a year now when I first bought my incredible Big Table Bed. However on the positive side I can prove the high quality of the bed as I'm still just as happy with the support and v comfortable sleeps. It's a bed that I look forward to getting home and jumping into everyday!!

Not only is their product exceptional and tailored to meet your requirements. The customer service was incredible. The turn around when asked for a customised Farrow & Ball paint job was within the week. The team also disassembled my horrible old bed and removed it from my room for no extra charge which was very kind. If I ever move from my flat in Queens Park they have offered to disassemble my bed for no extra charge which will make things hassle free for me!
