They misrepresent the stuff they sell. I bought an allis chalmers tractor on there on line auction. It was supposed to be a wd45 turned out to be a straight wd. When contacted it was so sorry but that was it. Then I bought what was supposed to be a Honda 500 Forman that turned out to be a 400 Forman. Sent in a claim and never heard back from them. I have bought four items from them and they misrepresented two. Not very good.

What a horrid "buying" experience! We purchased a swather through this company on their "unreserved" online auction. That is until the seller was unhappy with what it brought and didn't want to let us have it for what we bid and won it for. So the big iron rep calls to ask us if we will come up to what the seller wants out of this swather instead of handling it between him and the seller. The rep even offered us a whole $500 credit to help pay if we came up to what the seller wanted. So that is how they conduct professional business? They call the buyer and ask for more money after the unreserved auction has ended. Never mind you have to sign a contract to sell with them. That's great so I suppose next time we don't like our fertilizer cost at the Co-Op we will just tear up our contract and all is forgiven. We can just throw a tantrum and boom we get what we want. Or maybe when we sell cattle at the sale barn we will just refuse to let the guy who bought them have them unless he gives us an extra .25 a pound. That is not how this is supposed to work big iron hangs their hat on everything sells but that is very far from the truth. In the end we weren't able to purchase the swather we had won and they "banned" the seller for six months. I don't know that's pretty harsh punishment (insert extreme sarcasm). We will never do business here again and I promise you we will tell everyone we know how this was handled and how absolutely unprofessional this place is. We always thought big iron was an upstanding company but come to find out they are just dishonest liars who don't care. It isn't big iron auctions it is big joke auctions.

Have bought items and sold items. Would recommended to anyone. If you are selling, there is not a better platform to sell off of. If you are buying there is lots of pictures and most items are quality. Responsibility still on buyer it inspect item they are interested in. If your selling junk or poor items this isn t your place. If you don t pay timely this company isn t for you. Treat it as you would a local auction. Inspect the item you want, pay after auction and if your selling, be honest and transparent.

Bigiron is a absolute joke. Bought a soybean planter to discover the back axle had been welded on and there wasn t one picture of that. It gets better, went to pick it up (150 mile drive with a semi) the tire was slashed and the planter was up on blocks. I called the Bigiron rep and the first thing he said, the owner isn t happy with what it brought . Bigiron said they would make the seller fix the tire on it. I turn around and go home because it was Saturday afternoon and no tire shops were open. They say the tire will be fixed the next time I come up. I drive another 150 miles the next week to get it, still not fixed, and they hadn t even tried. By this time, I have the expense of a empty truck running up to get it, twice, and permits since it was 16 wide. I send a bill to Bigiron for the empty trip of trucking, and they suspend my account. That tells me they know they are at fault and their way of dealing with it=delete his account. I ve bought and sold equipment with them, and one thing I ve learned, it s never their fault . Between buyers not paying for equipment I ve sold, their reps misrepresenting equipment, and bigirons way of dealing with things , they are not worth it. One thing I can say with Bigiron, if you are able to physically view the equipment, use that option. If you can t and you are trusting their pictures , just plan on getting burnt, because it will happen.
