Big Block Realty Inc. Review

I recently switched careers and became a Real Estate professional in San Diego, CA. I chose Big Block Realty as my broker thanks to great recommendations from friends and colleagues and I could not be happier with my decision! The leadership, staff and agents have been very attentive and welcoming. There are multiple training sessions and networking opportunities at all times. The internal social media pages have been a great resource to find answers, recommendations and connect with others in the industry. The office space in Mission Valley is beautiful and there are always welcoming and collaborative people to connect with.

Very disappointed in our experience with big block and GG homes. We are new home buyers and we re supposed to receive a new house well that s what we were told. New foundation , ect.... we were basically being pushed and guilt tripped into buying a house on purdy street. 1138 purdy street to be exact.
We were told to be patient and grateful. When we would ask questions such as how big are rooms we were told it doesn t matter your getting a new house . When we asked about permits we were told GG does 200 homes a year and that they have everything they needed for this home. Well come to find out after speaking with the county office there were no permits opened on the work that was done.
The house needed a new roof . When we brought it up and were told that we would have to do the roof. Too many issues and our concerns were not considered , that s how we felt at least. I thought realtors were supposed to help the customer. We don t recommend big block/ honest agent.

Kevin was great! But however, when I called Valentina Neufeld, "SOCALVAL" I was greeted with an attitude and sassy remarks, I was shocked at the attitude and treatment from Val, If It had only been Kevin we spoke to, I would be giving this 5 out of 5 stars.

If you are looking to get your RE license or looking to switch brokerages, this is the Mecca! THEE only 100% commission brokerages in America that offers amazing support and an incredible team. The training and education that this team brings is changing the market. Not only that, they know how to have fun while helping you make a ton of money! These guys give you access to their very own coaches and some of the other top leaders in the industry. I haven t even had my license for 12 months yet and I ve already done 12 deals and met Mike Ferry and been to over 50 trainings! Oh yeah and don t forget the once a month Happy Hour mixers with other grinders from the company! Sam, Oliver and the rest of the team, thank you for changing the game and giving us this platform to thrive, reach our goals, and fulfill our dreams!

Big Block Realty is the go to broker in San Diego. Working under them has been great from the trainings to the commission splits! I would recommend anyone who is looking for a broker to look into Big Block and all they have to offer.

Not sure who Lisa Vomero is but she called me out of the blue asking questions about a house that's for sale. She claimed that she got my number from a For Sale By Owner website but thats not true because it's not FSBO. I have an agent already. She would not tell me how she got my number and kept being deceptive and asking a lot of questions that were none of her business. Really intrusive and bothersome to have someone call you like that. I would definitely use someone, anyone else than these realtors if this is how they run their business.

I joined Big Block a year ago and I have nothing but great things to say about this brokerage! They have provided training courses, top marketing templates, and great connects throughout the firm! They also know how to have fun, looking forward to the BB Holiday Party!

The owners are innovative & encourage their agents to be the best they can. Great financial incentive as well as good broker support. I highly recommend this place!

My experience with Barbra Lew was quite bad. Lew was very unprofessional and very dishonest. Lew works a lot trying to pick up leads by going through the craigs list postings of homes for sale. Lew tried to solicit my listing even though she knew it was listed in the MLS. Lew pretended to have a buyer made and appointment then did not show up and called me 30 minutes after the appointed time to show the house and told me she could not make it especially as I did not want to list the property with her. I told her I was not interested in listing my house with her and in fact it was listed. Lew then told me her buyer had changed her mind. I found these actions to be quite dishonest. Lew told me she had a buyer for my home but instead tried to steal the listing.

Our team loves hanging our licenses at Big Block Realty! When we first joined, we were doing 75 transactions/year, and now we are well over 500/year. The support is great and they are always available to answer our (many) questions. The culture is amazing; they care so much about their agents and it really shows. Thank you, Big Block!

As a Realtor, who has been in the business for 30 years and worked at some of the most recognized Real Estate firms, my experience with Big Block has been nothing but impressive. They insist on strong ethics, professional interactions and their support staff and business model is unequaled to most offices I have worked at.
It is always important to remember that who you select to represent you in a real estate transaction is more important than the name of the brokerage firm they work for. So, do your homework and interview several agents before proceeding with the most important financial decision you may ever make.

My husband and I have recently used Jasleen Nelson from Big Block Realty for three different real estate transactions. Two purchases of homes and the sale of our apartment complex in Pt. Loma. ( San Diego area) she was reliable and very comfortable to work with. She has great instincts about people and is also well connected to help you find a buyer for any situation of real estate you might have...residential or commercial. Not pushy at all but always on task for your needs. She always follows up on questions or issues that need an answer right away. Jasleen has great advice when you need it and helps guide you when your not sure about handling issues with buying or selling. She is very professional with lots of experience but also approachable with a great personality. We will be happily doing more business with Jasleen Nelson in the future.

The energy alone draws you in. Hard working, honest group of people.

I was the buyer and represented by Big Block Realty, agent Gerry Carrillo. As soon as we hit a roadblock and decided not to buy, my agent informed me that I had no rights to my deposit. That claim that I had no rights to my deposit was also backed up by one of the co-founders who is a broker and a real estate attorney, Spencer Lugash. I reached out to Spencer Lugash to see if they can help me fight for my deposit and he also said I had no rights to my deposit and referred me to 5 attorneys. Two weeks later with still no assistance from them, they cancelled my buyer representation contract with them stating they would no longer assist me further. I would have to deal directly with the sellers and listing agent. This was such a stressful situation, as my real estate agent canned me as soon as any conflict arose in the sale. I had to hire an attorney to get my deposit back. It was a horrible experience, Big Block Realty failed to fight for their client, very disappointing.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. This has been the worst experience ever.

We worked with Sandro Natale on the purchase of our first home in California. We made an offer on the second home we looked at-- our first offer wasn't accepted and he didn't pressure us to make another one but we knew we wanted the house so he helped us draft up a counter offer that was accepted. He was so patient with us throughout the whole process and answered ALL (which was a lot!!) of our questions in a timely manner. He also connected us with a loan officer (Tyler Wiemann) who pre-approved us at 9pm on a Saturday night and was extremely efficient and helpful throughout the whole process. Sandro is very personable and professional and we enjoyed getting to know him throughout our home buying process! We 100% recommend him to anyone looking for a real estate agent in the San Diego area!!

I love Big Block and I wish I would have joined sooner! I doubled my business and learned a lot. The training with Sam are fantastic and keep pushing me to improve every day. We finally closed on a home that we were suppose to close on three months ago. Glen Dewyea s communication was spotty and lacked transparency. We were unaware until after a month after we were suppose to close that the buyer of our home was in prison and had hundreds of thousands of dollars in liens on the property we were trying to acquire. He did not follow through with several things he said he would and our experience with buying this home was exceptionally poor. I do not recommend this company.

Agent was very professional, he went out of his,way to make sure my first time buying experience went well, he found the perfect property in a great neighborhood located in the perfect commuity at a great price, I give him 10 stars if possible.

Dynamic real estate brokerage with smart energetic agents

The level of their professionalism was superb, although little personal touch would be nice. In my opinion, service after the house has sold is as important as service at the beginning.

Somebody from this company called me out of the blue for a property that I sold 6 years ago. I've no idea how they got my number and don't appreciate being bothered.

I have been working at Big Block Realty since the beginning of the year. Along with a very attractive compensation structure, I enjoy the culture of the office and the energy of the staff support. I find lots of value in several of the training opportunities available. Weekly coaching, masterminds, training from top producers, agent networking opportunities, etc.. can all be found here. Everyone is welcoming and happy to share thoughts, & ideas. I think BBR is a great place for any agent, new or experienced.

So long story short these people do not do proper repairs they refuse to pay the people they hire to do the work on there houses they buy in different states Gus Guzman and Juan refuse to pay to have a roof done right refuse to pay people who properly paint there houses but wait there is more the inside of there house on Whipple was literally painted over black mold. No permits at all recommended not to buy houses from this company

Having recently worked with Jasleen on the sale of my El Cajon townhome I can truly say that her services greatly exceeded my expectations. Jasleen's vast experience and background with the local market helped tremendously. She was able to sort out all offers to come up with the perfect buyer, and in the end selling my home for 10k higher than listed price. I would not hesitate to recommend her services to friends, family or anyone in the San Diego area. You will not be disappointed!

Well aside their harassing phone calls and lying about their calls being done at one's own request, they use telemarketer techniques by utilizing public records to call people; even when people beg and plead for them to stop calling, all to aggressively attempt to get you to sell a property. Very unethical business model Big Block Realty is using. I hope this time "Valerie" and her team STOP HARASSING people in an attempt to buy properties that just aren't for sale!

I met Jasleen referred by Chase Bank, I was in need of an experienced Realtor and Jasleen came highly recommended. I had to do a short sale and Jasleen guided me through the complicated process and represented me very well, I highly recommend Jasleen to anyone looking for a great Realtor. We were referred to Jasleen through family members (parents, aunt&uncle) who used Jasleen to sell their properties and had they highly recommended her. The process of buying/selling can be complicated, but Jasleen has been fantastic in her expertise and is always responsive no matter what time of the day. She is honest and it has been a great experience. We definitely recommend her for any listing/selling and will be using her in the future.

Just started here and have been blown away by two things in particular: 1. the happy, friendly and supportive vibe that I've never witnessed at other brokerages, and 2. the free education that I've already been taking advantage of. If you're an agent, wouldn't you like to be in a brokerage that doesn't feel like other agents would slice your Achilles to step over you? This is that place!

I just purchased a home from Big Block Realty and investment group. Their agents were nice enough, and they did a good job presenting the house. However, whoever the group uses as their contractor to flip the home, needs to lose his license! They definitely just put lipstick on a pig and called it good! At the close of escrow, and upon further investigating, I was left with an electrical disaster, and a huge fire hazard! From the electrical to plumbing, to painting, everything was done with extremely poor quality control. Fixing their installation hack job is costing me roughly 5K, after we paid top dollar for our new home. I did expect some issues buying a flipped house, but not to the extent that I have. I would never buy from this realty and investment group again. Buyer beware! Don t over price their work. Things look good on the surface, but I can only specilste all corners that were cut in order for them to make a few extra dollars!

Kris at Big Block Realty really came through for me. I received a job offer that required me to move from San Diego to North Carolina in 3 weeks. The first two weeks I toyed with renting my condo out (trying to show it while still working full time) but that last week I decided that nope, I was going to sell it. Kris worked with me that last week I was here and even had a showing before I moved. She sold the condo right away and I didn't have to worry about anything, her and the team that they have at Big Block took care of everything.

We live out of state, and Bianca Marino made the purchase of our new home easy! She gave us guidance on which properties suited us, and took videos of the properties we were interested in as well, so we could decide. When our offer was accepted, she guided us the whole way through. Easiest home purchase we've ever made. Plus her suggested mortgage team were fantastic. Five stars all the way!! :D
