I pre-scheduled a standard oil-change in their service department. Went to drop the car off in the morning. After about 10 minutes a helper guy came by to say someone would be with me soon. Finally after about another 15 minutes, a service adviser came by to actually accept the car. He had a new tablet device that reset a time or two, so check-in took another 10 minutes. So, about 35 minutes for what should have been a 5 minute pre-scheduled drop-off. It was particularly frustrating because there were 3-4 helpers just standing around, but only 1-2 service advisers visible and they seemed busy with the phones and things other than checking people in.
When I went to pick the vehicle up, same problem. Initially no service advisers around. Then one working on upselling and pleading his case for a good customer service review. There are several doors for entry into the service adviser area and no clear queuing system. I stood at one door where a service adviser was on the phone. A customer would come in another door. An adviser would appear and help them. The guy on the phone at my door disappear without a word. I finally moved over to the line with the one adviser than actually seemed to be helping people. Again, about 15 - 20 minute wait just to swipe my credit card and complete check-out.
After paying, the adviser said they would bring my car right up. This always takes a long time at this dealership, so I tried to be patient. After about 25 minutes, I went back to stand in line again to see what was up with my vehicle. The adviser paged for it again. Finally, about 10 minutes later it appeared. Again, about 35-40 minutes for what should be a 5-10 minutes checkout.
They seemed to have lots of bodies around, but very few were focused on taking care of customers. Where was the manager? When I go to the grocery store, if the check-out line gets backed up, they immediately call for extra help to quickly respond.
