Inside the union lives Alpine Bagel, the bagel shop of dreams. Here the everything bagels are seasoned on both sides and giant bags of yesterday's bagels are readily available and affordable. Since graduating, I have missed study breaks at Alpine immensely.

Great place to hang out and (possibly) get some homework done. Has a few places to eat, such as Alpine Bagel and Wendy's.

Nice spot to hang out in to study or meet classmates/friends. Wendy's on first floor, a bagel shop upstairs. A very central spot on campus.

Awesome place to hang around campus. Nearly everybody comes through here during the day, and it's a good place to grab a quick lunch and some coffee into the late hours of the night. Best study place in my opinion

With ample quiet study space, rentable rooms for organizations, Alpine Bagels/Wendy's and even a dance studio the Student Union has pretty much anything a student could need in their daily life. It's the perfect place to stop and chill for a while if you are on campus and need to burn an hour or two.

Outdated compared to other local universities. There has been talk about building a new union, but there is no concrete plan intact.

Air conditioning is too strong and so it's too cold and fountain drink selection is too limited but it has very fast wifi and good coffee selection

This is a really beautiful student union. 3 floors all immaculately clean with awesome studying areas. There are also private gender neutral bathrooms and lactation rooms. Alpine Bagel and a Wendy's are both located here.

The renovations have been great but in all honesty the building is just too old at this point

Typical student union. Has an Alpine Bagels, with very slow, unfriendly service, and a Wendy's.

It's a good place to hang out, but not a great place to study, it's too loud for that.

It's nice, but it could be larger given the size of UNC and parts of it feel outdated, like the game room section.

It has been updated nicely in the 20 years since I last visited.
