The experience that I had working with the BBB about a complaint was great. The complaint was taken care of by the company that I complained about to my satisfaction. I always check the BBB rating before hiring a company to do work for me.

Charter Communications, Inc. was attempting to for...

Charter Communications, Inc. was attempting to force me to pay for equipment that was in their possession. This ordeal went on for approximately six weeks. I contacted them numerous times explaining that I had already turned in their equipment. I received several calls from collection agencies acting on Charter's behalf. I was very concerned that my credit rating would be damage, so I decided to contact the Better Business Bureau. This was my first experience requesting help from the BBB. From the moment BBB copied me on the email that they sent Charter Communications, I knew I had an ally. BBB gave Charter Communications a specific date to reply to my complaint. Charter contacted me and said that they were working to locate the missing equipment. Within the week, Charter located it. Thank you BBB!

My wife and I bought a car at Suntrup Nissan. Suntrup lied to us about the interest rate and the extra cost warranty AND said they had provided a copy of the warranty when they had not. They refused to answer my phone calls, letters and Emails. I filed a BBB complaint and Suntrup responded saying they had satisfied my complaints when, in fact, they had made no effort to do so. When I pointed that out to the BBB, they marked my complaint as " satisfied" and closed the file. I successfully re-opened it and mediation satisfied my major complaint, but not other parts of it. I am not satisfied in any way with Suntrup or BBB.

Updated based upon a response from BBB. Not interested could have been resolved when I reached out to BBB prior to seeking help through another process. SCAM ALERT for certain....!!!! Their ratings are not Accurate - So don't base a company off their RATINGS!!!!!
The BBB is a total waste of time. What I have personally experienced is that if the business responds they will "closed" your case and give the business a good rating. Even if you respond to say that problem has not been resolved. I received a bad oil change from a business that basically resulted in a seized engine. The owner responded to my complaint with a bunch of non truths and a blurry picture. I had all sorts of back up paperwork that the BBB didn't take into consideration. Closed my case after the response as "satisfied". The business kept a good rating and this becomes part of their so call 87% of their resolutions being satisfied! This wasn't the 1st time they didn't help with a resolution that I personally didn't agree upon. When the business responded back I was basically told to "go away". In ending, please do not go off their ratings of a business because it could be flawed. Best to write a review on Yelp if you want consumers to know about a business that is shady. BTW: I took both businesses to small claims court and won full reimbursement.

If you decide to use the BBB; have a backup plan to file with the Attorney General and Small Claims if you are looking to get reimbursed. You have 5 years from date of service and etc to file with small claims up to $5000. Also, there is a possibility that your complaint will not even show up as a complaint with the BBB they are selective in choosing which complaints will be able to view. I'm so careful about many of these mechanic repair shops and instant oil change places. That I thoroughly check out online reviews before I give them my business.

Good Luck and remember the BBB should be your last resort when you are seeking reimbursement, resolution or researching a business.

while its appreciated that you guys have someone monitoring the Google comment section as an image builder and comment manipulation - ITS A FACADE AT BEST! I have no interest in pursuing something that has been resolved through another platform and process that actually works.

Although, ultimately this even makes me more skeptical of utilizing you guys in the future. I have reviewed several complaints from customers from other businesses. Comparing ratings which also have a sufficient number of complaints just like the two small businesses that I basically complained about and each one that responded still had an A+ rating. Only the ones that don't have a history of responding get a C to F rating. It has nothing to do with the number of complaints or size of business. BBB platform doesn't seem to work for consumers.

At the end of the day, I wonder if the positive responses here on google are genuine or real at best! No, I will never send in another complaint to the BBB unless you guys change how the resolution process work; not flawed for consumers doing research on a business prior to agreeing to services based on actual ratings and not your closure rate of 87%. I understand the mediation and the initial complaint process which neither has worked for me in the past and appears for other consumers either! Thanks but no thanks! Your process is a complete JOKE! Works against the consumer!

Today Alberto T. serviced our home. He works at Alterra, a pest control company in St. Louis Missouri. He was clean, polite and worked very hard. I have been impressed with Alterra because if you have any problems with pests, they immediately come back and correct the problem. This is not at an additional cost. Alterra will return at no cost until you are satisfied. I would definitely refer others with insect/pest problems to this company.

Fantastic results. Argued in circles about a billing issue with stubborn employees who weren't interested in even attempting to understand or work with me.

Once BBB was involved the experience completely changed and the first constructive conversation started and we quickly reached a satisfactory settlement.

Hands down, the best company out there for dealing poor service!

My company has had an B or better rating for 6 years and now just because the BBB sees fit to change my hard earned rating to a NR for absolutely NO REASON whatsoever they just do whatever they want. It's hilarious that they don't have a BBB rating of their own. I see the google review is a 3.2 star. Way to go BBB.

BBB is not reliable to be used as a legitimate site for comparing companies. I would not use The BBB to look up or compare any more companies for ANYTHING! Do your homework elsewhere. You ll have much better results,,

While I appreciate and certainly acknowledge the need and utmost importance of the BBB, I do have one complaint: you cannot rescind a complaint that you file. When there is a dispute between a company and consumer over a period of time, points of contact and emails can pile up. It is possible to be on a ressolutionary path, things get lost in the shuffle and a complaint is incorrectly lodged. Once the consumer realizes this, it is impossible to have the complaint removed from the BBB website. Most consumers do not realize or care about this and that is a big danger to companies, imho.

The BBB needs to list itself on its own website. They re not even an accredited business & they make everyone else be one. I ve been accredited for several years. I ve had a complaint from somebody who wrote a review to the wrong company (being me)!by accident. After it was pointed out to him that we never did work for him. He added a comment to his review stating That it was an accident, he got us mixed up. We gave him an estimate but he went w/ a cheaper bid. When I called the BBB to have them erase it they lied & told me that deleting reviews is not even possible. Due to the way the system was built. So I have a negative for no good reason at all. Additionally I had told my girlfriend at the time how messed up the BBB was & later when we broke up she knew exactly what to do to make herself feel better. She acted as if she was a customer of mine & wrote a negative review. Provided absolutely 0 proof. BBB DIdnt care. Despite the fact that I the one that pays them $45/month. They still hardly provide any service to the businesses that pay them. This is why so many companies are starting to not use them. They have a shady system where they will add your company to the system without your permission. Randomly a negative review will pop up. But u can t respond to it or counter it in any way unless u become an accredited business. Which basically means u pay them $45/month & u can at least respond to whatever negative reviews randomly get submitted. It s a very VERY shady system.

I have repeatedly found myself in a stressful and bad situation with a business; a situation where I paid in money for service and the business was dishonest in their claim of service and was unwilling to refund my down-payment when ask for it, or not willing to render the service needed without extra charges. I had problems with billing issues with Comcast. I had problem will download issues with Garmin GPS product. I had Big, hot-tempered problems with Mavaro Solutions, auto repair insurance. In each of these cases and all other serious cases with businesses , BBB came through for me and moved each of these businesses to either right the wrong with needed service without extra charges, as in the case with Garmin, or as in the case with Mavaro Solutions refund my down payment. I do not believe I would receive the same result without them. I believe I would have had to go to count and battle for results I wanted.
I also use BBB services to search out business prior to using their services, as well as, businesses I want to check out prior to sending a resume to them or doing contract work for them.
BBB is rendering the public a great service, and are doing a great job in battling the dishonest,corruptive, unprofessional and unethical ways of many businesses.

After several months of trying to get a resolution for a product I purchased over the internet, BBB was my last resort. The assistance was amazing and produced results in 2 weeks. Having a third party involved and the name must have caused the vendor to release the product and make good on their promise after taking my money! Thanks for the help BBB!!

3 1/2 hrs late for delivery when automated phone call said in 15 min. Then couldn t make my 35ft wide driveway & ran truck thru ditch leaving 6 inch ruts in my yard. Was at 5 pm & obviously wanted to get back to get off work & was at my house total of 5 min & said they couldn t deliver fridge because apparently neither could work a Allen wrench & take 4 screws out of door handles on old fridge that they were paid to take back with them. New fridge don t come with handles on it but they still left with new fridge & now we have to take another day off work for another delivery. Driver took off out of my driveway with helper still in my house. Helper ran out after truck & driver stopped shortly as he jumped in. I took the video from my house cameras & sent to my company that I bought fridge from & so they would know the poor quality of this company. I also filed a police report for property damage & provided them video also. If their employees are going to be like this maybe they should look first & see the 16 cameras on the house. Looking at reviews I don t think they care anyway. Also filed with MO BBB & seen the bad reviews there also.

The woman who answers the phone got tired of our conversation and tried to bully me. I was astonished - it seemed pretty unprofessional. Update: Filing with this office turned out to be a waste of time for me. They simply sided with the big company and did not really consider or respond to my issue. The office seems understaffed and anxious to close cases as quickly as possible. They took the company's word for who was responsible without investigating the matter any further and without getting the company to take responsibility for their warranted product.

I'm at Nail Tech on 3709 Gravois St. Louis MO 63116. I had my nails due 6 days ago . My nails are separated for the fake nails. I called the owners Judy she asked me to come in. To she if she remembered me. Then Judy and her husband started talking in Vietnamese. The husband says " Oh your nails are to hard that's why its a big gap in between. They wanted correct the problem the only thing he did was applied glue between nails. It didn't work also my polish is cheaped jel nail polish doesn't suppose chip less than a week!!!! I spend $60 on nothing

BBB was able to resolve an issue I was having with a business, in which I was unable to get resolution. I could not even obtain a response from the business. BBB was able to contact the business and got me the result I was hoping to achieve. I got a full refund as well as an updated product. I am more than satisfied with the services that the BBB offers. I am very grateful that there is an organization in which consumers can go to in order to fight for our rights.

Great experience, never thought it would get me anywhere by calling the BBB, couldn't of been more wrong. After being bullied and lied to by Ameren mo, I made a claim with BBB and within 1 week my situation was resolved. Attorney General's Complaint to Josh Hawleys office still has not takin no action at this time... what a wast of Government ran programmes, shows how much us missourians mean to him and his staff.. hope it shows in the voting today. Only Republican I will not vote for.. Thanks again BBB for helping us little people against large corporations.

The buffoonery that comes from the St. Louis office of the BBB is astounding. I submitted a Negative review of Prodigy Restoration Group that the BBB office forwarded to the business. The BBB got back to me saying "they have stated to us that you are not their customer." I then sent the BBB a copy of the contract I have with the business proving I was a customer. I also asked the BBB how they address businesses lying to them. The response from the BBB was that "Stating you are not their customer is the business' option to respond to a customer review." Ok, so what are you going to do about it BBB? The business tried to side-step a negative review by lying about not doing business with me and the St. Louis BBB office is treating the lie as though it is a normal part of their process. I seriously question the "Start With Trust" motto that the BBB has if they allow businesses to lie to them and they do nothing to reflect this in the "Accredited" business' rating. Shame on the BBB.

Update: After notifying the St. Louis BBB that I was forced to take Prodigy Restoration Group to court to try and get my money back the BBB informed me that they would close the complaint I filed. When I asked if they would report in any way my unpleasant experience with the business, or if being taken to court would affect the business' rating, they told me no. They informed me that it is BBB policy that if a consumer is forced to go to court with a business there will be no review or complaint recorded against that BBB Accredited business. You read that right, the BBB gives a free pass to the worst of the worst businesses, those that consumers need to take to court, that the BBB Accredits, do not have their misdeeds reported to consumers by the BBB.

The BBB relies on extortion and scare tactics to bully small businesses that do not want to buy into their system. Accreditation only means that you pay a subscription for their endorsement. If you chose not to be accredited, the BBB uses their discretion as to how to frame your business. They will filter reviews as they see fit using criteria they never disclose. We have DOZENS of verified reviews they refuse to post on our page. They absolutely refuse to answer any questions outright and just like to dance around the issues and ignore your core questions, wasting time and furthering frustration. The BBB has done absolutely nothing but cause harm and wasted hours for our business. As you can see from dozens of reviews below that are not actually reviews for the BBB, consumers don't know jack when it comes to all this so the BBB will continue to get away with their games until the end of time.

This place has never had anyones back that isnt a huge corporation. I had problems with my old apartment. No AC && it being 95 in my house, no hot water, the list goes on. Reported my apartment to BBB thinking they would do something about it to help me out. But nope they came back with a sympathy email saying the apartment was completely in the right. Which they weren't. BBB is a waste of every day peoples time. They dont help anyone ever. Will never EVER leave a good review.

Please ignore the negative posts, they are usually from disgruntled consumers or businesses that for certain specific situations could not help.

I have always used the BBB when I have been unable to get results from businesses on my own.

Most recently, I had an issue with a TV that was under warranty, so I thought. The manufacturer claimed that I damaged the TV so they wouldn t cover it.

I contacted the BBB and the TV manufacturer ended up replacing the unit.

They are also a good resource to check on companies you would like to do business with.

And, last but not least, there is no charge for their services.

We have not found a need and have turned down their solicitations to pay for a membership. Recently 2 potential clients refused to do business with us because our company showed up on the BBB as 'Out Of Business'. Come to find out that the BBB had been sending mailers (requesting a response) to our old address from 2 yrs ago. As a result of returned US mail the BBB simply assumed we were out of business...even though they have our correct address posted on their link to us. Who is the BBB held responsible to? Where is the over-site?

BBB resolved two issues for me. First, Charter Communications dunned me repeatedly for a cable box I had returned, refusing to believe their workmen had taken it away with them when they discontinued my service. Charter told me the problem had been resolved, then turned me over to collections. BBB corresponded with Charter, and Charter removed the charge and notified the collections company. This brought to an end a conflict I had tried to resolve with multiple multiple phone calls and letters to both Charter and two different collection companies. The second issue: Amerigas promised me one rate for propane, then made several large deliveries and billed me at more than twice the promised rate. Again, multiple phone calls, including one in which I was told the issue was resolved, led nowhere, and I continued getting bills for a balance I did not owe. (I had changed service companies long since.) BBB quickly resolved the issue with one communication with Amerigas. I'm more than satisfied with the service BBB provides. Without BBB, my credit would have been ruined, as I refused to pay bills I did not owe.

On occasions you will come across that business th...

On occasions you will come across that business that has poor customer relations, are rigid, outright disrespectful to customers and no matter how reasonable of a request the customer makes to resolve the issue they, the business, will blame the customer and simply not arrived at a reasonable compromise.

This is when the Better Business Bureau can help. They act as intermediary to help solve problems between customers and businesses. I must say that almost always when I have to resort to the last measure, the last chance and use the Better Business Bureau I have received a positive resolution to my issues

Yesterday we had new windows installed in our living room. Midtown Home Improvements is the company we used. Not only do they provide a great product the installers were tremendous. They were orderly, knowledgeable, efficient, and treated our home as if it were their's. I would gladly have them return to my home for future projects!

We would like to recommend A-1 Erosion Company. Our request for a bid to solve an erosion problem was responded to quickly and after a mutually agreed upon price, the work started as scheduled. Our job went smoothly from start to finish. Lenny's work team was polite and courteous. Their workmanship was excellent and they worked together as a team.They cleaned up at the end of each day and after the job was completed. We were very pleased with the end results. We would definately recommend Lenny and A-1 Erosion for any type of erosion work , retaining walls and stone work to our family, friends and anyone needing this type of work. After dealing with poor customer service, I decided to call BBB to register a complaint after being mistaken as someone else and kicked out by an intoxicated owner. I was discriminated against and the owner was actually known to act unproffessional towards people of different backgrounds. I received no apology what so ever and it was being swept under the rug so I decided to contact BBB. Everytime I called I received no name from the person answering the phone and attitudes like my situation was irrelavant. They told me they only deal with money claims and what they could do is open a file. But they made it sound like a stipulation that I had to let the company I was complaining about know my address, phone number, and name. I felt discouraged to do so and it seemed the person answering the phone, time was being wasted. To think my information was given to the same people who were rude to me. And when the lady typed my complaint over the phone, words were mispelled as if I couldn't read or write. I felt as if the person taking my complaint actually visited the place itself or knew someone who worked there. After retyping my complaint they messed up and contacting them again, they told me they would talk to them to verify if I was there and get a statement from them about the occurrence. After calling today, I found out that wasn't the case and I still didn't get a name from the person answering. It's been months and I still received no feedback about my complaint. They just said they sent them the complaint and that was it. I guess they closed it without even telling me. No feedback or anything. Just makes me sad to know people wouldn't give the same customer service and undivided attention as I would in their shoes. To think the place isn't BBB accredited and my complaint was removed online

We chose Zykan eXteriors to replace our roof and siding on our house and it was the best decision for our home. They did a phenomenal job and cleaned up when they were done. I like the crew and they would stop to answer any questions I had. They even came over and worked on Christmas eve. Fred Zykan really made the decision making process as easy as it could be. He brought many samples of chingles and siding for us to look at and gave us sincere suggestions and opinions. He made us feel very comfortable and we know we made the right decision to go with Zykan eXteriors. Fred was always available either in person or by phone to talk with us about any questions we had. I respected the BBB until I found that they gave their accreditation to a Puppy Miller out of Miller, Mo. When I called them they said that pretty much if someone pays for their accreditation....they give it. I asked if they had gone out to see the facility....and they said NO.
What good is that. They are just getting money....for a standard they dont check.

The product was superior to the other companies I got quotes from and was very competitively priced.Upon completion of the job,the clean up was awesome! Ask for Rex and you will be in good hands!!

I called Certified Inc because the contractor I had before them really messed my basement up. I hired the old contractor to put a sump pump in among other things. My daughter got Certified thru the Better Business Bureau. I agreed to let Certified do the work and tear out what the other guy done because it was done all wrong which I knew because my basement leak more than ever after the old contractor did his work. What a difference Certified made. You could tell they were professionals and knew what they were doing. My basement doesn't leak anymore. If your having any kind of work done in your home I highly recommend them.

You can pay for ratings and they are totally biased with who they feel should be accredited. They can deny one company but another company with the same business model they refuse. If you do NOT become a member you start with a D rating. Totally misleading to consumers that actually buy into the BS of the BBB. Please research companies using other channels for instance check with Attorney General, or the licensing entity for what ever service a company provides, Google reviews, Facebook reviews etc. Make sure to contact the people on the reviews to see if they are real people if you are really that concerned.

The issue that I had was with Charter Communicatio...

The issue that I had was with Charter Communications, was in finding the right person to talk with to resolve my issue. I have called many of the available phone numbers provided by Charter, talked with many of the Charter representatives, but after 3 months of calling and receiving many promises from Charter I still could not get my issued addressed.

I then contacted the BBB and within 2 weeks, Charter addressed and resolved all of my issues. Thanks to the BBB !!! :) :)

I was very impressed with the BBB's handling of my problem with Charter Communications. When Charter came back with their explanation which was incorrect, the BBB took the time to re-air my complaint and go back to Charter. The results were much better.

I have been going to Slim 180 in St. Charles, MO for quite sometime. I love Andrew and Theo and how much they care about me as a person. They truly are the best . When I stopped going, they called and called and called, they never gave up on me. Til one day I said OK you win!!! And I am back! I still have a ways to go til my final goal, but as we say One Day at A Time and with Andrew and Theo it WILL happen!

I'm so glad I used the BBB to resolve my recent issues with my internet provider. The provider would never listen to me regarding the issue so the BBB helped me get their attention. The internet provider called me back just a day or so after I filed my complaint with the BBB and immediately resolved my issue in a very fair and timely manner. Thanks BBB!

I would like to commend Advanced Pool & Spa in High Ridge for all the wonderful service they've extended my way. They are true professionals and no matter what the problem with my pool equipment, they are the ultimate problem solvers and repair folks. I am especially happy when I get a window of time they will be at my home and can communicate with Caroline early morning until late at night and always get a prompt response. I have been a pool owner for over 40 years and have never received the excellence of service and care as Advanced Pool & Spa has give me.

American Concrete was wonderful to work with and the finished patio is simply beautiful. Owner Kevin Duggins was the only contractor out of 4 that took the extra time to really help us understand all the steps involved in pouring, stamping and coloring the patio. He didn't rush through the bid process and we knew that customer service and satisfaction means something to American Concrete. I highly recommend American Concrete for any job that you are planning.

Hi , 0 stars for your website .it didn't allow me to make a public complaint against United Van lines ? , Not that I think you are trying to keep my complaint on them from the public , but you were my favorite hope of voiceing a complaint ??? So agiag , I tried to write a bad review on United Van lines Corporate in the St Louis MO area, but when it came to yes/ no questions on your site it kept blinking red not allowing me to file the complaint on a nightmare move with United Van lines , so maybe I did something wrong that your site would not let me make a public post about the agregis acts carried out by United Van lines and there many branches involved , I pray no one else ever goes through what we did , and are still going through with United Van lines , they continue for months now to not resolve the issue nor there responsibly to us as customers , so BBBcan you help as your web site would not allow me to make that public complaint ? Maybe I checked the wrong questions ?

After an unsatisfactory interaction with Express Scripts, the only thing I could think to do was turn to the BBB to help me resolve the dispute. I had talked to multiple customer service reps and their supervisors at Express Scripts and got nowhere, but within 3 days of filing a complaint through the BBB, the charge I was fighting ES over was refunded to me. I was shocked it was so easy and so quick. I would definitely recommend the BBB to others to help resolve disputes when you've gone as far as your can with the merchant and are getting nowhere.

I was overcharged the copay for a medication by my prescription drug plan in January 2014. After three months of attempting to get a refund for the overcharge and getting the run around, I contact BBB. BBB resolved the dispute and I received my refund check in the mail in five days. I thank God for BBB.

Long story short. During April 2010, Custom Pools of Belleville performed some concrete work, recoated our pool's Kool Crete surface and installed a new pool liner. Overall the work was satisfactory with the exception of the pool liner installation.

The pool liner leaked from the very beginning. We made repeated calls during the summer and fall of 2010 and the spring of 2011 and the owner of Custom Pools continuously promised to send someone out to look at why the pool was leaking but no one ever came. He blamed underlying issues with the pool structure and a leak in the light niche even though pool was 25 years old and had never had a leak even on a liner that I installed myself. Following the Custom Pools installation we could never leave the pool unattended for more than a couple of days at a time and we had to keep adding water even in the winter which is a very unpleasant task. Ultimately I had Mike's Pool and Spa of O'Fallon, IL install a completely new liner - problem solved.

Custom Pools refused to negotiate a settlement and the BBB offered binding arbitration which I accepted. Custom Pools eventually made an offer. I was still out a couple of thousand dollars but I would have received nothing if it hadn't been for the BBB.

The staff at the St. Louis BBB office is nothing less than outstanding. They doggedly pursued my case calling and emailing me from time to time to provide status reports. I wholeheartedly recommend the St. Louis BBB.

better business bureau of st.louis, mo, helped me recover money i was being deprived of by a questionable company. after many times on my nown of contacting the company and being given the run around, soory nthought it was in the mail, i will look into it, and a few others i had lost any hope that i had of getting one red cent back. contacted bbb of st louis, after they to was ranaround a time or two, they assigned a mediator to me qand she got my check in the mail one week later and i got it a week after that. if your having any problems with a questionable company or aren't getting a rfefund you think you should be getting, can't hurt to contact the bbb in your area. as for the bbb in st, louis i am very pleased by their help that got me a lot more than i every thought i would. i would recommend tyhem to anybody who could use their help.

The better business bureau is worthless. We filed a complaint against Midwest Contractors of Missouri who were hired by my elderly parents to fix their deck. They kept adding on charges and charged them $3800 for repairs then did shoddy work, nothing met building codes, ruined the stairs and my parents cannot even use them. They refuse to fix anything or refund any money and we will have to re-do the work. The company did not even respond to our complaint and now the BBB closed the case and nothing is noted online and this place still has an A rating. The BBB did nothing and has not protected customers from this company. Do not trust the ratings from the BBB, they are not accurate.

A construction company totally messed up my bathroom. They charged $18K. Now I'm paying people to redo their messes. I wrote a report to the BBB. They got a bogus reply from the owner of the horrible company. Therefore, that company retained the best rating allowed. This BBB policy is wrong. If there are two reviews, one good and one bad, the company still gets a good rating. The BBB cannot conduct legitimate ratings, in my opinion. Then, on a recent survey, someone said that all bad reviews were just people venting. Well, that is not fair. I invite anyone from the BBB (or elsewhere) to come out and view my bathroom. I will send pictures too. The company is MH Contracting located in Wentzville, Missouri. This email is neither venting nor exaggerated. The BBB has no credibility with me.

Filing a complaint with the BBB is a complete waste of time, don't bother.

Edit: You never responded to my complaint until I contacted you after not hearing anything for nearly 2 months then all I got was a form email but you can respond to a negative Google review in hours. What a useless organization, I don't want to have anything to do with you or your accredited businesses.

I have contacted the BBB a very few times concerning a business. The result was the same every single time. They had no interest in helping and did absolutely nothing. My most recent concerned a doctor's office at Mercy Hospital South. Since the doctor that leases that office isn't actually an employee of Mercy Hospital the BBB won't take any action with either one to help a consumer. Absolutely useless to individuals, but great for taking money from corporations to inflate their rankings.

I was very disappointed with the way BBB handled a complaint I filed, but then I did a little research on the BBB and discovered how wrong the perception of BBB being an unbiased mediator is. BBB protects the businesses that pay their annual dues to get Accreditation. Search for investigations conducted by CNN or Time among others, they'll open your eyes to how the BBB does business and protects the businesses that fund it's operations. I would not be writing this if BBB had not left their stamp of approval on Prodigy Restoration Group's business. A dissatisfied client of PRG reached out to me to tell me they posted a complaint against this business to the BBB and it was removed. My complaint to the BBB against Prodigy Restoration Group was also closed immediately after the business gave a response, one that was chock full of lies. I do not trust St. Louis BBB's review grading system or their handling of consumer complaints. Angie's List is taking action on my complaint with that local business.
