Thumbs up, this was the best place we visited while we were in the area! Definitely put it on your list of things to do. The museum is so well laid out that you truly get a feel for the Woodstock Festival and the feelings of the era. And being able to stand on the lawn where the festival took place was out of this world.

I was there on the 7/21 Lawn seats
To see perfomers Rod Stuwart & Cyndi Lauper i parked in lot B all the way down at the bottom im 73 years old i cant walk up hills to the brick road to the lawn i asked one of the parking attendence if i could have one of the golf carts take me she said i have to be handicapped which im not i have weak ankles but not enough to get a handicapp sign in my windshield then i made it to the top in pain to only carry my own chair which to my disappointment was low to the ground like a beach chair my friends had regular lawn chairs once i sat in it i couldnt get up w/ out the help of my friends and to tired to bring the chair back then after cyndi sang her 2nd song black clouds and heavy rain wtch is not Bethel woods fault but im not sitting in the rain so back down to the parking lot looking for my car walking in mud all alone twilight all i need now is to run into a bear, i cant see why you cant have a tram to pick up guest from the parking lots i will never go to the Bethelwoods again and i live in Bethel to much walking and the lawn should have a canopy

I went to Bethel Woods for Mountain Jam. I know that this is the first year that Mountain Jam was hosted there, but I was surprised by the lack of organization from the concert venue. Cardboard signs in the parking lot, and in general, very difficult to find your way around. But what bothered me the most was how indifferent the staff was. No one smiled or offered any help when asked a question. I'm giving it two stars because at least it was clean. But I'm offended that the birth place of Woodstock gave me such a corporate, soulless attitude.

Love the place!! Everyone should go. Clean, friendly and great sound! Took a star off for poor roads when leaving. If you stay for the whole concert figure on adding an hour or more to your ride home.

Excellent venue, very beautiful scenery and great food. I would suggest when buying alchohol get something with the highest percentage because all the beer is the same price. Drink responsibly!

Have been to Bethrl Eoods numerous times and not always super positive. Recent Mountain Jam 4-day gathering, however, has re-affirmed my faith. Wonderful line up, camping allowed for the 1st time, no ultra-crazy security (although I was stumped when requested to open my truck's hood for search, and how can you camp without a knife?), but that was about it. The vibe was peace and love, run through the Karma Wash. Great time w great friends at a great venue with great artists. Perfect. Even the rain. And kudos for hiring local bus company & drivers, local tow company, local folks to man the periphery. It's all about community.

I was surprised at how interesting and well curated the museum was
It included all social movement in the 60's from baby boomers born in late 50's to Kennedy, moonwalk, Nixon, Vietnam and the rise of the young cohesive 60's movements and music scene. It was visual, Interactive and inspiring!

Nice venue for concerts and the Museum never disappoints. Every time we visit we see something new. Make sure to visit marker down the street on Hurd Avenue to see the original Woodstock site and imagine what it was like to have 400,000 people gathered in this setting. Lower gallery features constantly changing exhibits. Only downside is there aren't a lot of restaurants or good hotels in the area, but it's real close to the Montecello Casino and Racetrack.

The venue itself is nice. However as others stated the staff is not only poorly trained they re also not fully informed. They depend on volunteers a lot so the majority of the staff are volunteers. The website doesn t tell you how to dress or what to expect when you get there. It does say be prepared to walk. From where you park to get to the seating area could be anywhere from 1 to 3 miles. Once your enter with your ticket you ll still be walking 1/2 a mile to get seated. There are no shuttles. Just an occasional golf cart going by. Everything is happening in the parking lot. People do tail gate. Be prepared to take in some smoke of all kinds. The show was great. The hospitality is poor. And the location is poor. Sullivan County is just not easily accessible.

I've been coming here for a number of years for concerts and the venue is great. My average rating I's due to how they handled the shuttle assistance on Friday for handicapped people. Both going into and out of the venue we were made to stand on line for as long as an hour. PWe're handicapped Bethel and this wasn't your first rodeo. You need to do better.

I was here in 1969 and I will be back 2019 for the 50th celebrating Woodstock
Bethel Woods had perfect planning on how to best preserve the atmosphere of what brought us here in the first place. It was all about the music and everyone having a great time. The staffers were always friendly and polite and very helpful. Even though I live 5 hours away I got a feeling I will be back for something other than a Woodstock Anniversary.

Strangely, though not surprisingly, I felt a sense of tranquility and peace in Bethel Woods. At the time of the festival, I was only 4 years old, but in all areas of the museum it is possible to feel literally what the power of the event was like, the energy of the place. My only regret was not having met Bethel Woods before! I hope I have the opportunity to attend a show at the venue. For rock and roll lovers, it is the chance to ease the suffering of not having been part of an event that has changed the world's behavior. For anyone who is a music fan, it's worth getting out of NY and traveling about 1 1/2 hours to get to know the Bethel Arts Center and do yourself a huge favor: visit in the summer during the Bethel Woods Concert Season see the agenda on the website). Rent a car (on days when there is no show, parking is free, please inquire first) and take the printed map to get out. I had trouble getting back to NY because the museum is in a rural area, the GPS did not work, there is no mobile signal (T-mobile) and until you find the road there are no people visible and available to request information.

What a great afternoon! Did a quick walk around Bethrl Woods, checked out the vendors and visited the museum. Then we grabbed a bite to eat and did the light show. It was wonderful. I highly recommend this as a great family outing.

Time of my life. Every. Single. Time. Quaint shops, amazing shows & festivals, beautiful views. Always lives up to its heritage. Anyone getting tickets to a venue like this should acknowledge that you are signing up for the experience and not expect a typical arena where staff are bounding about to cater to you. There are plenty of lawn chairs available to rent if your feet grow tired. Parking (and walking) can be a nightmare, but I don t think I would have it any other way, as half the fun of going to Woodstock is mingling with people. The acoustics here are immeasurable!

From its beautiful views, to the amazing shows they put on, the Bethel Woods center for the Arts has it all.

I went and saw Roger Daltrey of The Who and everything from buying tickets to finding our seats was a pleasure. After you arrive and park on the lawn parking area, the people who work there direct you to the stage area where there is not only a museum, but also a restaurant that serves sandwiches and fries and alcohol as well.

Once they process your ticket, any of the people working on the grounds can show you to where your seat is. Not only that, there are small places that sell food and beverages such as hot dogs, nachos, and beer and soda.

The overall experience at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is exquisite. The stage is beautiful, the sound system is extremely powerful and the people who work there are very nice. I d recommend seeing any show here just due to the area itself, being the historic site of the Woodstock Festival.

The really great thing about this museum is that in addition to covering the actual Woodstock festival, it also covered the decade leading up to it. Be sure to watch the videos as well as reading the information. Very comprehensive and really gives a wide range get and valid perspective of the 60's !

This is a residential, rural area, meaning that the most noise that we normally get up here is from someone riding a 4-wheeler or hunting -- and that usually doesn't last long. The noise from Bethel Woods, on the other hand, is deafening -- and I live miles away (as the crow flies). Even with the windows shut, the doors closed, even on the other side of the house...it's still insanely loud and totally disrespectful to residents here. The people who come up for concerts clog the roads with their cars, leave trash everywhere, and those of us who live here are bombarded with intolerable noise levels for days. I've seen more "For Sale" signs in this area now than ever before. I wish this place had never been made. The guy who put it together clearly has $omething else in mind other than the values we keep around here. What a shame. I can't wait to move away -- and I never thought I'd say that...
