Great venue for a concert. Covered Seating or grass seats, can see the stage just fine. Lots of vender food and beverage to choose from. A giant picture frame with the bands name of the night for your free memorabilia photo. And...the original site of Woodstock just on the opposite side of the hill. Very historic feeling in the moment!

This place made you feel like you went back in time, feel like you were at Woodstock. They did an amazing job creating this museum. Even had one of the buses, which you could go sit in & watch a short video, for some reason those pictures aren't loading. Highly recommend to those who got to to Woodstock, those who couldn't, the new generations & anyone who appreciates music & history.

Our 1st time here. We went for a Peter Frampton concert and also toured the museum. For the concert, we decided to pay extra for the preferred parking lot, the Green Room and the buffet. Peter was awesome, the museum was great, preferred parking was definitely worth it (closer to the venue and leaving the lot was quick and easy). The Green Room included 2 drink tickets per person (full bar). It was a great place to relax on the couch before the concert. The buffet was just "okay". We wouldn't spend money on the buffet next time. The property and grounds are really pretty and very well maintained. Lots of food, drinks, snacks, souvenirs to purchase if you're walking along the walkway to the concert building. The whole place is very nice. Looking forward to seeing some other concerts in the future.

Bethel Woods is the nicest outdoor venue in the East. Gorgeous garden like setting of rolling hills, fountains and flowers. The museum and sound system is state-of-the art. The monument and concert grounds were magical.

I've enjoyed numerous shows here and love the venue. I've taken time to enjoy the museum in the past, well worth the time.

I am handicapped and have to complain if you walk poorly this is not a great venue, just to much walking. Be prepared to stay in your seat once you get there and allow others in your party to get you food or drink.

Always liked it here. Service is going down hill fast, and no-one seems to care.

Best place in the Hudson Valley for Concerts and outdoor events. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Don't miss out!

It's nice, very pricey for a "not for profit" concession prices a tad excessive$ and poor monitoring of alcohol to minors yes it's hard to enforce but perhaps enforce a drinking section enclosed and monitored so the non drinkers don't continue to get vomited on.

What a great time we had at the Woodstock 50th anniversary. First time there and was a little nervous about safety, traffic and crowds (I went to Woodstock in 1969). I have to admit it was the best day ever. We arrived early and was able to visit some of the shops in town and got right in when the gates opened. Parking was no problem and it was fun tailgating with others until the venue opened. The venue was clean, beautiful, organized, safe and fun. We met so many friendly, happy and interesting people. The concert that night was so exciting with good seats and easy access to bathrooms that were close and didn't have to wait in line forever. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Second time attending and I had a great time again. Parking is made easy with assistance by the staff, the pavillion is well organized and the ushers are happy to help you find your seats. I'm so happy that I can visit somewhere close by to enjoy diverse entertainment. Can't wait to make another trip for another wonderful show.

I had been to the museum many times, but had never attended a concert. So, when a friend said he wanted to go see Ringo Starr during the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, I figured, what the hell?

I got there really early to enjoy the pre concert festivities. I got crafty, went to the museum, and met tons of great people.

We got tickets for the lawn and rented lawn chairs. We had a great view of the stage. Such a gorgeous night! People had told me it was a great venue, but I had no idea just how nice it really was!

I would definitely go again!

There is an energy here that is like no other. I cryed when i felt it...over whelming peace love and togetherness. If you listen hard enough you can hear the imprints of the past. This one little town will forever be a part of history a point in time never to be recreated. I stood where the stage sat... I looked out over the field and it was like Richie Havens spoke through me and i sang Freedom to the spirit of the 60s. Some how i also knew I'd make it there 50years later.

It was a great night. Weather was perfect, music brought back lot of good memories. I was with good friends. Every one there was having a great time.
Only thing that was not to my liking is one drunken ahole that kept grabbing and popping the beach balls. The kids and a lot of adults were really enjoying hitting them around. But a sold out venue having a great time, I guess you have to expect an ahole some where in there.

Great venue to see live music.

Great venue to see live music.
Sound quality is good no matter where you're sitting and there are big monitors on both sides of the stage.
As with any concert venue, food and beverages are over priced, but no more so than any other.
Give yourself a little extra time for parking. There's only one lane for miles to the parking area and it can get jammed for the bigger shows. There's a bit of a walk to the venue one you park.

This is not so much a review of the Bethel Woods Center For The Performing Arts as bits & pieces of hazy, sepia-toned, fractured, long ago memories of my one day spent at The Woodstock Music And Art Fair in August, 1969.
WOW! Has it really been 49 years?

Days earlier, I had purchased 4 tickets for Saturday, August 16th, at a record store called The Music Box in Hamden, Connecticut (remember vinyl records?). Record stores were where you bought tickets for rock concerts in the days before the online ticket sales). One each for me, my sister, and her married friends. I cannot, for the life of me, recall what those one day tickets cost.
I learned the night before we left that it had been declared "a free concert" due to the throngs of fence crashers that showed up at the festival site.
We left southern Connecticut in the wee hours of that Saturday morning, and listened to the radio news reporting on the festival as we drove up Rt.17 in New York State. The news was telling us that the highway was closed at a certain exit. I recall seeing tents pitched in the median of State Route 17.
We were diverted and detoured on several back roads, finally coming to what was essentially a "Mexican standoff" of cars. We got out and started walking on County Route 17-B, along with the thousands of others like us, determined to see and experience this phenomenon. I recall many residents who had set up tables along the road, passing out Dixie cups of water to any of us who stuck our hand out for one. The local folks were wonderful to all the kids there.
We walked, along with all those thousands of other kids at least 3-4 miles to the site where the music was being performed. Finally coming to the actual festival site, we stood just a little way down the hill looking toward the stage.
During a long delay, I bought a pair of yellow aviator glasses that I thought would make me look really cool, and wore them for a couple of years afterward.
My memories of performers is very scant. Leslie West & Mountain played. I didn't even know who they were until days later!
The Hog Farm (a large commune of the time, Remember Wavy Gravy?) did a light show afterward.
His famous quote below, from that Saturday morning, was immortalized in the film, "Woodstock".

***"Good morning! What we have in mind is breakfast in bed for four hundred thousand." -Hugh Romney, aka Wavy Gravy***

It was getting late, and we needed to hike back those 3-4 miles, find our car, and wend our way through the mess of cars to get back to the highway and home more than 24 hours after we left home.

A quality venue at the site of the 1969 Woodstock festival. Despite the slightly over commercialization was a safe and convenient place. They need WiFi and cellphone access. I was able to attend 2 of the 4 Woodstock 50th anniversary events to see Carlos Santana, Doobie Brothers, and John Fogarty perform. The staff was able to recover a set of car keys for us within a couple of days and contact us when they were found.

Everyone from the volunteers to the security and even police are always super nice and accommodating with a thoughtful balance of allowing the fun to organically happen while keeping it organized and safe.

Great venue! Very nice and well maintained excellent audio and light shows. Food and beverage prices are what you'd expect inside a venue like this [think sports stadium prices] but they allow you to bring a clear bag that can have ziplock bags of chips and 2 20oz bottles of water if they are sealed. It's nice not all places are so lenient. I enjoy the venue and reccomend it to anyone.

I saw Lynard Skynard concert and it was very good, lots of drunk people as they sell 32 ounce beers there which in my opinion is just crazy as too many drunks slobbering around by 7pm which is pretty bad... otherwise its very nice there...
