Woodstock! Do I need to say more? We were NOT disappointed.
Loved the pictures and captions about performers. Fun seeing the field where the concert was held.
If you have never been at an event at Bethel woods you are missing something extraordinary. This is an outdoor venue similar to PNC arts center (only a million times nicer ) butmorre convenient. Whether it be a festival during the day or a concert at night this venue is second to none. Between its natural beauty to its reasonable prices for food and beer its a win win. At about 1:15 mins from New Jersey its an easy ride. Just get there real early if its a popular concert. With one road going into the parking area you could wait 45-60 mins to get in to park! Parking is free and convenient. Forget Pnc art
Great acoustics and vibe. Attended Santana Concert celebrating woodstock 50th. Was fantastic. Museum on the ground is amazing highly recommend it
I got to Bethel Woods via NYC s shortline $66 day trip which includes one (easy) transfer. The museum itself was very modern and enjoyable with mixed media options to take it all in. There were cozy nooks to watch various videos and all included an option to turn on/off captioning for guests who are hard of hearing or simply to better tune out the buzzing of other visitors. I was expecting more musician-owned memorabilia (like Planet Hollywood), but the artifacts they had from guests were interesting and I learned a lot!
The center itself was beautiful and well kept, and it looks like there are at least three different event spaces to rent for weddings and meetings. The gift shop was really well appointed and reasonably priced! I read about the food online and it seemed a little over advertised for what it really was. It s not somewhere I d choose to have lunch but you can certainly grab a snack.
I visited on a day when the adjoining field had a fall harvest festival happening. While this was serendipitous, I d *recommend* visiting on a day with a festival in order to make a full day out of your visit. I spent maybe 2 hours slowly combing through the museum. Meanwhile, the festival had food trucks, a farmer s market, artisan crafts, a corn maze, live music, and craft beer and it was free! It was about a 10 minute walk from the museum but within the same overall visitors complex. Having this as a part two to my experience, I really enjoyed the day. I m not sure I would ve found it as fulfilling if coming from Manhattan for the museum alone.
It's like stepping back into the sixties and seventies! The staff is very knowledgeable. It's a great place to visit
If you love rock music you got to go there historical place beautiful just beautiful
We were so lucky to see Martin Short and Steve Martin here! The venue is incredible and huge. It was easy to rent lawn chairs, but I think a blanket would have been comfy, too. We also got barbecue at one one the food stands and while the line was a bit slow, the food was really good and not too outrageously priced. Plan on doing a good bit of walking from the parking lot to the stage.
Great for outdoor concerts. Gets a little crowded. Single exit is a safety concern. Can't bring lawn chairs or coolers.
I felt like a billy goat. Had to walk a mile up Hill on a gravel road. It's not my idea of fun.
I just LOVE *BWL!! I have visited & worked there for #11+yrs now & live in NEPA, #1+1/2hrs away! *It's 'A little slice of Heaven' up there! So beautifully situated on some of the remnants of sacred: WOODSTOCK '69 grounds too!
*DO GO TO VISIT IT!!
Loved it all. First time there. Grounds and experience was awesome. Saw Melissa Etheridge and she is an amazing entertainer, musician, songwriter/singer. I was wowed by her performance. Definitely a fan now!
Great location! Great venue. Well kept. Amazing variety of entertainment and markets.
Saw Adam Sandler at this venue. It was amazing there. Very clean, very modern, so maintains the roots of it's Woodstock past. I would recommend for any show!
I've been to many concerts there through the years. It is one of my favorite places to go to.
It was a really great venue to see Zac Brown Band, but lacked the traffic expertise to diminish the congestion in the parking lot.
What an experience. An amazing time throughout. Saw Kevin Hart. Had lawn seats. Not a bad seat in the house. The museum is a must visit.
Best place to see a concert love the museum and history
Loved our night at Bethel Woods! Crowded but able to move around with ease.
Just LOVE this place! Was there for an event on a Wednesday evening after hours. It was like having the museum to myself! HIGHLY recommend a visit...don't forget to go up on the hill to see the monument. Was there 2 times before. The last being the Richie Havens memorial...his ashes were sprinkled by airplane after the event...very touching.
The venue is beautiful but the bag policy is overly strict with little warning forcing women & disabled to unexpectedly have to check their purses & bags and buy clear ones from them to carry items. I had to walk back to my car because my messenger style purse made by a well known travel brand was considered too big and I wasn't going to trust it in a bag check. It seems excessive to deny personal purses and bags for an outdoor concert that are acceptable carry-on on any airplane. I saw one woman turned away even though her bag easily met the restrictive size measurements and was clearly a purse simply because it could convert to a backpack carry style. It's great if you don't mind preparing for a casual show as if you're traveling internationally but personally I found it way over the top.
Great museum of Woodstock and the 60's. Put it on your bucket list. Go for a concert!
Seems like a lovely venue. Just attended a concert where it rained the entire time. People were cold, wet, looking to buy a dry t-shirt. FOURTY FIVE DOLLARS for a t-shirt? Are you kidding? Taking advantage of people, $45 for an $8 shirt. Never again.
Always a special museum to remember the 60's...setting is delightful...the place to take visitors...
Great place to see a concert, make sure to stop by the upgrade tent for upgraded tickets
Absolute must visit for anyone who cares about music. This is a shrine for American culture and counter culture. Truly worth the trip.
Great relaxed venue, well organized, although the back roads leading here can get congested. Once you arrive, it becomes an entire experience with lovely walking trails leading to the amphitheatre. Our seats were great, covered but in the open air. Others picknicked on the grass to listen to great music. Easy to move around, clean bathrooms.
The lawn chairs are not made for larger people. They should make exceptions for persons over a certain size or weight.
What a stunning venue, first time visit. Top marks across the board, for grounds, buildings, services available, the Blondie portion of the show was outstanding!!!
An amazing museum that takes you back in time.
Love the 1960s?
Well, you will live it here.
George Vreeland Hill
Mountain Jam was awesome - such a nicel place to have it.
CONCERT SEASON IS NOT COMPLETE WOTHOUT AT LEAST ONE SHOW AT BETHEL GORGEOUS VIEWS!
Great concert venue! Frampton is my wife's favorite and he win me over with his mastery of the blues!
I was in such aw of everything in there. We were here in 2010...so, so much has been added. Love the history clips, all the exhibits, I actually cried it was that amazing. Everyone needs to visit at least once. I plan on going back a couple more times. Happy 50th Anniversary Woodstock
I was blown away. I never knew how many bands played.
Great place for concerts. Open air with a roof or outside on the lawn. Good sound, friendly staff and history.
Great venue. Bad parking get there early early early
What an absolutely amazing place to take in a concert
Beautiful, clean center to go for concerts & other entertainment in an absolutely beautiful area. You will have to do quite a bit of walking here.
Security will kick you out for no reason. Go be actual cops.
The venue is nice as usual. The new policy about having clear pocketbooks is crazy. Had to go all the way back to the car to bring wife's pocketbook. Useless measure.
Great venue. We decided to sit in lawn area and rented their chairs, which were very comfortable (not allowed to bring own, only blankets). Loved the wide choices of food and beverages. Definitely coming back.
I live this place because one my mom works there and two there's a great variety of thing s family can do like the museum and the concerts!
Nice venue...kinda establishment. No hippies, free love, Volkswagen vans or weed...just older people shuffling around.
Jason Aldean was great tonight! But I will never return to this venue due to the situation of the parking lot. Took us almost two hours to leave. Absolutely ridiculous. Never experienced this in my life.
Went to see shinedown. This place is beautiful. Soo scenic
Go ... See ... Experience ... absolutely the most beautiful concert venue we have ever seen ... that the 1969 Woodstock Concert Field and Museum is right there tops it all off ... Highly Recommend
Recently attended the Brantley Gilbert concert here and I have to say, I was very disappointed. The performance was outstanding, and the venue is so beautiful. But, parking is very far away. Not too big of an issue until you get to the ticket gate and they tell you that you can't bring in your hand bag. At 7 months pregnant I was very upset to have to walk back to my vehicle and back up again. There is one sign on one side of the parking lot indicating this rule, and we walked on the opposite side of course. I would suggest adding more signs to the parking lot, or even lockers outside of the gates so people don't have to go through the same experience. And then to top it off for some reason they sold me a water bottle without the top? I'm sure there is some reason behind this but inconvenient none the less. There needs to be more security in the lawn section. I was annoyed at the amount of weed I had to smell all night. After the concert I was disgusted by the sea of beer cans on the lawn to be kicked around. It was unbelievable. More trash/recycling cans could possibly help this or security monitoring the issue. Leaving is a nightmare. Lots of shouting between cars and aggressive driving, not to mention an extremely long wait.
It is a truly beautiful venue and the concert was fantastic but these issues made it hard to enjoy the experience.
Amazing place to see a show. Clean !!!! Friendly people and staff. Love all the history.
Staff is very friendly & helpful!!! While going to a concert getting there & going home is very slow moving! You drive on small country one lane roads!!!
This place is great. Great views, great sound. This was my first time here and I will definitely come back. Just one thing.... be prepared to walk. From the parking lot to the concert is quite a hike. Obviously they have services for the handicapped. There were plenty of tents with food and drink and momentos for sale.
Ringo should have sang " with little help from my friends" at 50th anniversary.
Always a pleasure. The venue is the most beautiful place you can find. The security and staff are top notch. I seriously prefer the lawn seats because the chairs you can rent for $6 are so comfy. Plenty of food vendors too.
Really cool spot for concerts and comedy shows came for a Kevin Hart comedy show and had a blast. Was very easy getting in parked and hanging out. Will definitely be visiting this place again
Cant beat the Venue for a concert. Would be nice if they had a designated pot smoking area if they are not doing anything avout it when you have small Children with you though. At least they wouldn't have to do right next to your 2 year old Granddaughter.
Beautiful, clean grounds. Friendly staff/volunteers. Unobstructed view of stage
Omg wow man lol it was beautiful perfect way of showing us history, impacted so many lives. Done tastefully, grace peace and love. I was in awww I loved it and would highly recommend to all it's a piece of history that is not and won't be forgotten. Glad they take such excellent care of the grounds and the memories. A complete treasure. Thank u.
Leave time to visit the museum before your show. Had a great time here. Would recommend.
I was there last night to see Nelly, OMG the amount of alcohol that is served there just makes the whole experience horrible, I get the tailgating but the outcome of those parties and the outcome of all those sample shots just makes for a dissappointing concert. The people that were drunk and disorderly just made themselves look like idiots.. The fights I saw because people were drunk was sad. We left right after Nelly because we knew the traffic would be crazy later..On the way to the truck I saw NUMEROUS young people PASSED OUT between the parked cars and the mess that they left was incredible. I saw the poor employees trying to deal with drunk young people running into the woods because they either had to pee and couldn't wait or they were vomiting. I didnt mind having to wait 2 hours just to get 10 miles to get in...I didnt mind the crazy length we had to walk from our truck,,,what I minded was seeing all the drunken and disorderly people that basically ruined it for others..
Great venue with outstanding vendors that have much better quality items as well as fair prices
Show was GREAT!!! But....You go in knowing the location and that a sold out show will take time to get out of the parking lots. But when you see Hurd Rd moving and we're in lot F sitting still for 45 minutes or longer...not moving an inch...Then your people are not trained properly to keep cars moving. Sorry, yes it'll take time...But not 90 minutes from lot F to 17b. That's just crazy....
Outstanding service by all the staff! Always friendly. Always welcoming & helpful !
Class place history 69 changed the culture of the world at the time
Well-designed outdoor music theater with good sound. Comfortable and easily accessible seating. Very helpful support staff. Good parking process & traffic control makes it easy to get in and out. Great food, beer & wine options. By far and away, my favorite music venue. I do wish there were more hotel options nearby.
Great venue. I wish the has more modern day bands. Only very few bands that are not from the 70's or before play here. Also they cater to country music and not modern rock.
Security is not the best at there job says no smoking and you have security walk past not once but twice and the person still smokes in an area not allowed to smoke
