Nice hotel, lovely breakfast, walking distance to centre of town.

Its ok, so i havent been able to have a hot Shower all week ! The Tv only about 3 channels work, not my best experience!

Fantastic hotel, gives you the family run feeling without John Cleese. So helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Can't wait to stay again.

Clean room's nice surroundings staff very helpful and attentive.

We checked in to be told that the kitchen was being refurbished so there was only sandwiches and salads available for dinner. Breakfast was a farce with poor service and very limited choice of food. We were not offered a discount for a reduced service.

A haven following a car accident 2 minutes away. Lovely disabled access room with a huge wet room. Comfortable bed, quiet room, supplied with a kettle, fan, iron & board, and a good TV. Ordered room service which arrived promptly. Wonderful, welcoming and kind staff who made my hard day a lot better!
Terrific Somerset full breakfast was all I needed to set me up for the day!
Recommended.

It's lovely and the rooms are very nice. The only problem is the kitchen are being renovated but that's a temporary glitch. I'd definitely stay again.

OK, all a bit dated. My room was above the restaurant and the music was louder in my room than the restaurant! Walls are paper thin.

Just about 3* annoying to be in a room that was within an area ring redecorated. No lift, breakfast was so so. Do not think I will hurry back.

Our car broke down here, they let us leave it outside whilst we ate a burger, fries and side salad which was SO good it really cheered us up! Lovely decor, very clean, neat, tidy and quiet. Outside seating too.

Came here for a wedding reception. Just looks a bit run down to be honest. The staff were decent enough.

Poor service. Poor food. Poor customer attitude. Ceiling in gents toilets falling down. In all not a good experience .

Room is large but basic. Nice bathroom but shower takes between 7-10 mins to warm up then stays scalding. Useless combined power & temp device. Bar and restaurant are classy. They also prepared me a hot sandwich for when I needed to leave early which was nice.

The price was good. Bearing in mind a weekend break breakfast times could be extended a little longer to 10.30 along with checkout time.

We have been coming here for years. Lovely building, great rooms, great party atmosphere and fantastic DJ, Gary.

Very good food, very friendly, but a few more draught beers wouldn't be a bad thing (Tribute was all they had )

Large room, although the decor felt a little dated. Comfortable bed, shower head was at a slightly odd angle. Breakfast was acceptable. Overall an perfectly reasonable night.

Delicious roast dinner and great service for a wake I attended

Booked a room on booking.com, travelled an hour to be told I don t have a room & it s fully booked, sat in reception like a plonker searching for somewhere else to stay and this place was the majority of booking sites still showing several rooms available. Not what you need after a days work and travelling.

Lovely staff and accomodation, good attention to covid regulations, good simple fresh food, welcoming to dogs and humans.

My room was very spacious. Staff incredibly friendly and very helpful to us Americans. Food was delicious. Good choices for drinks. Rooms are a bit more dated than the online pictures would lead you to believe but that's ok.

Attended the Phoebe Rees awards ceremony, function room was very full, but the food was good and the staff very efficient.

Went to the Shrubbery hotel for a casino night. Very enjoyable evening with good food and a very relaxed atmosphere. The staff were friendly and made you feel welcomed. Overall a very good evening and will be returning soon.

We stopped here for a quick lunch on Saturday only to be told that there was no food available due to lack of staff! Unbelievable!! NOT impressed!!!
