Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel Reviews

The really great thing about this place is the people. They are friendly and accommodating. The breakfast situation is nice too. it's generally a comfortable hotel.

My experience was a little bit odd because I seem to have an allergic reaction inside the hotel and I'm not sure why. It may be something external & nothing to do with best western. it sure got worse when I was in my room though. They have Benadryl and aspirin for sale at the front desk for two dollars a pack. I recommend you bring Benadryl just in case you have a similar allergic reaction to what I had. I'm not one to get allergies so I really don't know what it could be. I'm not from New England so maybe I'm just allergic to the East Coast.

Also, be sure to utilize the easement between the street this hotel is on and the shopping center that is just across from the hotel. There's a walkway that lets you get access to Chipotle, Subway, grocery shopping and lots more. The location is pretty ideal from that perspective. There's Chinese food and a great Indian place called Tandoori Grill. I'm putting up a photo of the walkway since it's easy to miss.

Absolutely the BEST Best WesternI have ever stayed at. Professional and friendly staff all around, and very clean hotel. I highly recommend anyone in the area stay here. Slightly off the highway, but well worth it.

This is a great place to stay. I have no complaints what so ever. It is in a great location with everything you need near by. You are only 40min to downtown Boston. The staff are exceptional. Was able to check in at 9am, super quick and friendly. The restaurant staff were above and beyond. The room was great. All what you expect and more. Too of my list to stay again when in the area.

We stayed at the Best Western for a trade show. Hotel staff and amenities were excellent. We can't say the same for the restaurant service. That would rate an F- at best

The staff was incredibly rude and unprofessional. The room service was awful. The hotel room was fairly clean but that is about all I can say that is good.

Visited for the fly fishing show, phenomenal set up, loved the trade show floor and the shuttles they had to go up to the main hotel for the presentations and videos. Food at the bar was great and drinks weren't too expensive.

Want there for the Viva East car show. Nice people, nice place

Conference rooms were quite cold, but otherwise was a reasonable room.

Convenient location at the corner of l-495 and route 30. Nice conference site at the countryside.

Never again, staff was nice maintenance was lacking. Heater / Air conditioner not working properly, dust and dirt in the heater as well as crumbs and visible dirt and dust on the filter. Our room was 100% humidity as the vent would not close. Tub drained VERY slowly. Could not see any mold in the room but my sinus's told me there was mold somewhere. Cleaned every surface with Clorox wipes which was good b/c there was something stuck on the desk area. We were with a sports tournament so no choice in hotel, I will not book another Best Western.

It has been 5-6 years since I last stayed at this hotel for a similar conference. It is nice to see the clean, modern look of the hotel has replaced the tired look of a lot of conference hotels. The food and facilities were excellent. It was also easy in/easy out for setting up the booth. The rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable and the showers were hot.

We hosted a reception with about 50 guests. Buffet style with 8 person tables. We had one server helping who was very good. They are able to accommodate several kids meals and some vegetarian and gluten free meals. Only issue was that they were hosting a large conference so very busy.

I recently attended the scrapbook Expo at the Royal plaza hotel. The setup was great from both clothes and work apaces. I thought the shuttle was very useful to all involved
The close proximity however, easily allowed for one to walk to and from the trade floor to the classes located in the hotel itself.

We killed at least 5 ants in our room throughout our stay. The elevators were very slow and two of them broke while we were there.

Great spot. Very nice. Only stayed 1 night. Staff very friendly and polite. Common areas were clean and tidy. Room was clean. Breakfast was very good. Seems like a great spot for a meeting or event. Plenty of space. Did not get in the pool but it was clean.

Love this hotel.....wonderful chef......great breakfast.....or food anytime you wish! The staff goes out of their way to be helpful! Nice clean rooms and ask for a quiet area, no problem! Pets are loved and allowed!

I only used the conference rooms. They were clean and the food service was well organized. We had a pastry based breakfast, so i don't know what the cooked food is like. The staff is friendly and accommodating. (I had limited interaction with staff because the food was self served.) It is a cell phone dead zone for many carriers, the Wi-Fi tends to crash when there are "too many" devices on it. (A present day conference center should be able to handle 100 people or more using their Wi-Fi.) The women's bathroom by the conference rooms is not at all ventilated, don't breathe. It's also poorly lit in some spots and some of the stall doors are rickety.

The hotel seemed completely unprepared for the convention I was staying for. The tavern and restaurant staff was undermanned, overwhelmed and slow. Room service was non-existent since calling their extension just lead to the phone ringing endlessly.

Some rooms are renovated others are a bit lacking in modern furnishings. Over all it's a great hotel for conferences. Staff is polite and a real treat to work with.

Reasonable hotel. Bumpy elevators, smoke detector is mounted directly over the head of the bed causing the little light to shine in my eyes all night. Comfortable bed.

Their beds are extremely hard! I felt I was sleeping on the floor the entire night. Their CC on the TV does not work and even the engineer could not fix the problem. I would have left if they did not borrow the HDMI that connected my computer to the TV.

Ive been coming here for a training, and while most of the trainings have been in one room, the service has been great, people were helpful, and the hotel is very clean.

Company event. Mostly great beer options limited but they have a good bar in lobby.

I was here for a conference and did not stay in any room. Bathrooms werent dirty but they were aged. The breakfast buffet was less than good.

Rooms are q little bit old. Breakfast is quiet good.

Lobby looks great, the bed was fine.. the rest that makes a hotel better for guests was missing badly. Outdated rooms. Barely flowing water. Tub drain not functioning. No store for guests. In fact; they couldn't even get me a spoon after 10 pm... Gym equipment broken or barely functions. Personnel not too friendly.(with exception for the gentleman that check me in, he was great).

This place totally surprised me. It was a really great visit! Also the man managing breakfast in the morning was wonderful. Breakfast itself was unusually good, but the made the experience exceptional. He was a truly great host, Best Western should hold onto him. I wish I knew his name, but he was a very friendly European man, maybe German? All in all a really great stay.

The facilities are a bit outdated and suffer from the oddity that the showers were built for people under 5'5" tall. At 5'10" I shouldn't have to duck to use a shower. The restaurant and bar are quite good and it was a great place to go for a convention. The staff was very attentive and helpful

The facility was clean and staff was very friendly. The free breakfast was one of the best I have ever had. Would stay there again if ever in the area.

The staff were pleasant and rooms were clean, food was good through roomservice. We did have a couple issues with our air conditioner, it was intolerably loud and also wasn't cold. The staff definitely addressed our concern and quickly, yet our unit was very old so they were able to get rid of the sound, but it still wasn't blowing cold air. (Also consider it is February and for some strange reason there was a heat wave and we needed A/C). Also the mini fridge was a nice addition yet it also wasn't very cold and could barely chill our beverages. I am confident that they would have simply moved us into a more comfortable room if it didn't happen to be the same weekend as a very large convention where they had no vacancies. The hotel is great, our experience however, happened to be only warrant a 3/5 star given our circumstances.

We were at the trade center for an event and had a wonderful time. It was a very clean facility.

Everything was great except food choices and attitude's of the makers of the restaurant and how they treated staff.

Awesome hotel! There's so much room and the staff is awesome. The restaurant was also quite amazing. We ate there both nights we were there and it seemed like there was more than enough variety for both nights to avoid boredom.

They also had an amazing chocolate cake - I would suggest ordering this and sharing it with someone. The cake is very rich and incredibly tasty.

If I was back in Boston I would totally stay here again!

Everything about this hotel was excellent from the hotel staff at check-in, the stay and the check out were excellent. The proximity to the Trade Center was excellent. The food at breakfast was the best we ever had at a hotel. The restaurant in the hotel had excellent food and great staff. The rooms appeared to be newly redone and were very clean and comfortable. I hope you will stay at this hotel because I can guarantee you will have a great experience.

The Easter buffet was outstanding. I must say that Kent at the Hotel desk greeted us so graciously to start our experience at the buffet. Pedro at the buffet entrance was so kind, helpful and genuine as he led us to the perfect table! We were a party of 3 seniors with the oldest being 93 years old. From that entrance everyone treated us like royalty at table #21 for the noon reservation. The waitresses, Jennifer and all the others made us feel so, so special. The buffet was excellent though the 93 yr. old ( has his own teeth) had trouble with the prime rib But a waiter cut him a thinner piece and brought horse radish and au juice for him to enjoy it. Unbelievable, caring, attentive service from absolutely everyone !!!

We loved the ambience, soft music, wonderful choices of food, delicious desserts and the superior service. Oh yes, we will return and extend our best wishes to your entire staff for the service provided. You made our Easter celebration wonderful. Happy Easter

Excellent friendly welcoming hotel .They had a complimentary van to take you within five miles .The rooms were huge and the beds very comfotable .Everything super clean . Nicest staff I have encountered .

We attended an event for one day in the hotel proper as a family, and had a very pleasant time. I and our toddler ate in the All-American something something restaurant in the hotel, and it was OK. The service was great, food was More

I stayed there for 16 nights, am from out of state and stayed there due to work. The place is a dump (thanks Bette Davis). It's supposed to be 3 stars, it's barely 2. The furniture is severly dated and the fitness room is broken down and elderly. They claim for the amenities you get a microwave. After the 4th time requested, I stopped. You won't find a worse Best Western in the country. I travel so I know. They also allow smoking at the entry way. It's like you're smoking 2 packs a day yourself. Because I got the hotel through Priceline, you get bare bones. Shame on you Priceline and further shame on Best Western.

This hotel is very convenient when doing any kind of business at the Trade Center nearby - the hotel provides a shuttle bus going up and down the hill. The hotel itself is a bit dowdy in a somewhat endearing way - some of the back rooms have good views of the country side and some beautiful sunsets. The staff is well trained in being friendly and helpful.

Rooms are clean and rates are reasonable. In need of an upgrade, a bit dated.

DESE frequently holds trainings at this site. As always, it was comfortable, clean and wifi was available to complete activities online throughout the presentation.

Rooms need to be updated, however they were clean and usable. Staff was inconsistent. We had really nice and helpful staff as well as rude and not helpful staff. The Front Desk Manager really took care of us and genuinely cared about our stay with them.

We had a long drive and couldn't have been more please with this hotel when we arrived. CLEAN, friendly staff and a good breakfast Chris at the front desk was wonderful and so helpful!!!!

I stayed here last week. The customer service is superb!! It s in close proximity to lots of stores and restaurants. I will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel.... Even under renovation if the main entrance the service was still phenomenal

Very nice place to stay. The size and style of this Best Western threw me off because I'm very used to the motel style of this chain. I took off a star for 2 reasons. Firstly, they didnt offer many fat free/low fat options which left me with a few slices of toast for breakfast. The second reason was the shower took about 3 minutes to finally get even slightly warm. The review would have been 3 stars except we had this terrific server from Kosovo. Never got his name but I think it was Jeff. He was very kind and very attending. I felt very welcomed. All around a very nice place to stay.

Ps. Please put 4 pillows on the bed next time. I like a lot of pillows
