We stayed in this hotel with our grand-kids. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The water park was a big hit with the grand-kids. The room was spacious & clean The beds are very comfortable. Dinner at the restaurant was great. The food was delicious & reasonably price. The breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of choices. The staff in the hotel are very helpful, accommodating & cheerful. I will definitely recommend this hotel to family & friends.

Awesome place for the family, they listen you and if you contact them instead of trivago they will give you a better service/rate for rye room you're looking for. Ask for their breakfast special when you book in and if you plan to go to the zoo or spark and other places they have the ticket for sale for a fraction of the price you will normally pay at the gate, cost us 20$ for 2 adults and 1 toddler and 1 newborn to go to the zoo

Let me start off by saying that I accidentally discovered this hotel but was very pleasantly surprised. Me and my family stayed at this hotel for two nights in September. And we had a ton of family fun right in the hotel itself. The hotel was very clean and they paid very close attention to high traffic areas. You had to schedule a time to go to the water park they had oh that right, let me say that again they have a water park. Two fully functioning waterslides and a super cool spray park for the littler kids it also had two hot tubs which were understandably not open during covid.

The hotel itself was very modernand comfortable and very nice. And all the staff there from the front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant we're very attentive and amazing the whole time

The kitchen down in the lounge is open late!! which was nice for me and my wife to sneak away and have a late night dinner just to ourselves. In the mornings we were supplied with breakfast vouchers for Sky Harbor there restaurant which served an amazing classic breakfast or pancakes for the little ones.

It's close proximity to the airport makes it excellent for outbound travel without a bunch of extra noise from planes! It was actually a fairly quiet and peaceful in the room. Which ours are looked out over the beautifully landscaped yard.

All in all I would say that me and my family really enjoyed staying at this hotel and would definitely keep this one in mind for our return trip to Calgary. And would actually recommend this one to others!

Friendly, welcoming staff. Very clean rooms and comfy beds. Good price point. Pool area is great fun for all the kids.

Booked in my daughter and her family a poolside room 3 months ago, called to confirm the room the day before and when they went to check-in they had given their room away. Front desk staff blamed the other staff. No accountability offered nothing but a smaller room and a free breakfast.

Really nice, clean, and large room. May have been more expensive due to the Stampede, but unsure. Otherwise good.

We booked here in hopes of enjoying some family time in the water park. Unfortunately this was not the case due to poor Covid protocols in place.
1. No initial screening at entrance/temp
2. Molding in room/shower place
3. Water park was poorly maintained, mold, bandaids in pool
4. Capacity in pool was not following guidelines much more bodies no physical distancing
5. Child in pool with a bleeding nose, continued to return in and out of pool with nose bleeds. Blood on kids shirt, continued to swim in pool
6. Child in pool continued to spit inside pool

Although pre Covid, many of these factors would not be a huge issue. I do believe protocols are in place for a reason. I think initial screening is crucial or even an online questions prior to booking maybe a temperature check ? I definitely think this facility needs re adjust protocols to avoid serious health issues.

I attended a seminar here and I thought that the place was well kept. The seminar area was well lit and the internet was fast. The food they served was surprisingly good. It was quite tasty. Kudos to the chef and the people that prepared them. I would attend another seminar here if given a chance.

This hotel goes beyond expectations. From its polite, helpful and friendly staff. To its prime facilities. Just as most five star hotels do. The rates are excellent, the rooms are large and comfortable, full on waterpark for the kids and a great lounge, bar and restaurant for the travelling man and/ or his mrs. Way to go Best Western Port "0" Call! Two thumbs up. Book right now, it's a no brainer, YOU GOTTA STAY HERE!

Nice facility, although meeting rooms didn't have functional air conditioning and room service was nin exsistant.

Left my air pods on the night stand after I checkout, called back and they just left me to deal with the house keeper which said nothing was there. They won t even acknowledge the situation. Good prices though, you get what you pay for.

For us the mattress was not soft enough but that is a chance you take every person has their differences and I prefer a very soft mattress
But then again at home we sleep on a lift bed and ever since then it s difficu to match!

But all in all it was an 8 in comfort on a King size bed and rooms were very nice and clean

I was attending an award ceremony which included a buffet. The service was exemplary and the food was great. Yes, I received an award.

Super friendly staff. They put in the extra effort to make your stay enjoyable. Kids love the waterpark. If it depended on them they would be in the water all day and we didn't go out and do something else at all.

For that price a continental breakfast would be nice.

Stayed for 1 night, king size bed. The bed was hard, not terrible, but not very comfortable. The decor is out dated. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast buffet was tasty. For the price I wouldn't go back again.

Best of its class. It was a comfortable stay, thanks to management, front desk staff and house keeping.

Bathrooms well designed in wheelchair accessible room--lots of grab bars installed, sturdy and in good places. Roll in shower was excellent with grab bars and height-adjustable/removable shower head. Not enough room between beds for wheelchair user and the height of the beds made it difficult to get my husband into.

What a wonderful place to stay and be with your family! The highlight is definitely the waterpark inside that is fun and safe for the whole family. The hot tub is perfectly located so that the parents can keep track of their kids as they go up the stairs to the slides and come down them to the splash area.
The water is a good temperature and it is the right depth for all ages to enjoy.

We also really appreciated the warm hospitality by the staff their, especially Jasrobin. He made sure that we understood where to go and that we had a great time. You can tell that he is proud to work there and passionate about customer service. That seems to be rare nowadays.

We'll be back!

The Port O'Call is our families favourite hotel! We love the staff and the recent renovations look great! The pool and slides are super fun, and the kiddie pool is great for smaller ones! The restaurant food has great taste, great selection and great staff!

I would say by far this best western has been one of the better ones I have stayed at. Being that it is really close to the airport ( which is a bonus) it is quite quiet. The room service food is hands down the best I have ever had, a little pricey though but still one of the Best tasting I have had in my 30 years of travel. The breakfast spread is excellent. The staff polite and good at what they do. The underground parking is very tight for larger vehicles. Parking outside is good. We got the family room and is was laid out very nicely. Although the heater / humidified was clogged from dust. Only took a couple minutes to pull and clean them out.The pool I never got to try because of having a cold. It is in close proximity of a lot of good amenities.Will update as will be staying there again.

We've stayed here several times now. Nice to have the waterpark and basement pool but the guests get worse everytime we come. Inconsiderate people, families that don't watch or discipline their rowdy kids, being loud late at night in the rooms, and overall getting crowded. Was nice when it was a relatively hidden gem.

Great for airport stays and loved the pool for the kids. Staff are always nice. It's our favorite Calgary hotel!

The steak here is very tasty! I found after two visits that they do tend to cook a medium rare more like a medium well done. Great service.

Fantastic hotel for families. The water park is great, the water is nice and warm and the slides are fast and fun. With the wadding area there is something for all ages at this pool. The hotel and rooms are exceptionally clean and well maintained. We ate at the buffet and it felt geared towards young families. The food was kid food: plain pasta, meatballs, pizza and a small salad bar. The service was very good at the restaurant. We will absolutely stay here again. Very convenient location for us.

Great customer service and hotel amenities exceeded my expectations. Pool water was warm and breakfast was fresh and filling.

The pool was fine the room was not up to par compared to my last stay the bathtub was clogged, the carpet was coming off the wall and staples on the floor, door latch for the poolside room was broken, the phone didn't work properly, stains all over shower curtain and the heater in the room wasn't working.

If you want a super friendly efficient staff, very clean rooms, family fun pool, safe and good shuttle to airport, safe underground parking then stay at Port O Call Best Western.

Spend the weekend with another family at the hotel. Overall the hotel was great, rooms were a nice size with amenities perfect for a family. Traveled with children hoping to spend loads of time at the pool, this is where the stay was not great. Pools were cold as was the air in the pool area. Spoke to the manager the first night that assured us he was going to warm it up, next day was the same. Wont be back due to the pool being cold!

Perfect location, great pool for families. Rooms a bit dated and could be cleaner (half Oreo behind sofa bed), but not disgusting. Breakfast is worth the 15$. Would stay again.

I was married on august 12 in the outdoor garden it's so beautiful, the food was amazing the staff was great we had a couple of bumps the day before but they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. And the brunch is soooo good

This hotel was a welcome surprise when we arrived in Calgary to -19 temps for our 20 hour layover between flights. Our kids loved the amazing pool and water slides, our teens enjoyed the hot tub and even did some slides, and we also enjoyed the hot tub.

For our kids, the hotel pool is always the highlight for them. This is the best hotel pool experience we ve encountered to date. (With the exception of resort pools overlooking the ocean )

Our room was a nice size with two queen beds and a pull out couch and also a nice feature of a sink inside the bathroom and a second one just outside the bathroom.

The breakfast is what really sealed the deal for us on the incredible value of this hotel. Multiple hot items; bacon, sausage, decried beans, pancakes, french toast, waffles already made, scrambled eggs and eggs Florentine.

A full cereal bar, meaning more than 5 varieties. A yogurt, granola and fruit bar, a huge selection of breads and toasts, and also a lovely pastry selection. I believe there was more that I didn t see because we got up at 6:30 to catch a plane and I was a little tired!

I asked where the tea was and the server brought it to me and kept the pot full.

Shuttle was efficient and on time with plenty of room. They were very user friendly and helpful.

We actually said we should plan a trip to Calgary to Come back to this hotel! I will be telling all of my friends with kids about it as well and to be honest, we ve been Embassy Suites patrons for 15+ years because of their three beds in a room and wonderful breakfast but we are not looking into other best westerns for upcoming travel.

This is a great hotel. There's two restaurants and both have been fantastic the few times we've stayed here. Great customer service, above ground AND underground parking available. The waterpark has something for most people other than a lane swimming. Rooms are nice and spacious and nicely equipped with coffee maker, microwave, and a good size mini fridge. Stayed here twice and loved it both times. One of my favorite places to stay in Calgary, especially with a toddler.

Hot water didn't work. Roll away bed for extra charge was horrible

Lovely staff.great place for a family to stay.no problem using my debit/cash deposit as we dont have credit cards.the water slides and toddler pool were perfect for our 3 busy boys 2.5,5,7 yrs old.the restaurant on location had a wonderful breakfast buffet all fresh lots of choices.cant wait to come back.

Very amazing hotel! There is a water park, gym and a separate pool and hot tub on the basement level. Staff is very professional, helpful and polite. Stay here before or after your flight for real rest and relaxation in luxury.

It is our first time to used this hotel. We had a great time staying here. Friendly staff and clean hotel. My baby boy enjoyed the pool. It is such a lovely and enjoyable experienced for us. You can see the mountains while you are in your balcony. Make sure you book 3 to 5th floors. Thanks

When I got there the cheque in was quick and easy. My room was clean and had many conveniences that used. Looking forward to staying again in a couple weeks.

We stayed in a family room. Room was clean and reasonably set up. Pool/waterpark was nice. Reception staff was polite & helpful even during a rush.

Came to the hotel with my son and husband, absolutely the most family friendly hotel I ve come across and we loved the water park! The hotel has so many facilities to use especially the most wonderful was the ( Nail salon/spa ) went in for their luxurious pedicure, can I just say one of the best relaxing spa experiences I have ever had, their work was excellent, clean and the most friendliest ladies EVER! They were so accommodating not to mention they transformed my feet which definitely needed some care, was beyond any pedicure I ve ever had before. Overall will definitely stay at the hotel again as everyone is so welcoming and will definitely be back for the wonderful spa, I recommend!

We had a terrific stay. We really liked this one housekeeper lady, Sumaya. She came in and did an excellent job with our room. Very polite. We enjoyed the amenities this hotel's got and its got lots. Great value for the money. My kids enjoyed the waterpark too, so bonus. Would love to come back!

Spacious room. Great to have a sink outside of the main bathroom as well.

Wedding Bliss.....
I just want to write a review in regards to the amazing service I received from start to finish for holding my wedding at this hotel. Virginia was the lady I dealt with for getting everything set up for my wedding. She was very professional and quick to reply with all my questions I had during the process. She had all the information laid out and was very easy to decide on all the details we wanted to have. Before the weeding we were able to taste the food and make any changes without any issues. The day of our wedding we stayed in the Honeymoon Suite which was very clean and beautiful, From there Virginia was there on the Saturday to make sure I was ready to walk down the aisle and that my future husband did not see me. She was so amazing to deal with a review does not quite cut it. That evening went without a hitch. The event staff that was there during the evening were so wonderful and professional and took care of all my guest if they needed anything. The food was really delicious and everyone was complimenting it. Thank you!!!

This is the very best hotel I have stayed in all of North America! They have a double slide waterpark and 2 hot tubs and a kiddie pool. Make sure to request the buffet breakfast, they have a full hot breakfast! Delicious!

The pool got really dirty during the weekend. If you're going to have a fancy pool be one of your selling points you better clean it and have towels available. Hotel itself was ok but expensive to not get to use the pool really for 2 of our 3 days.

Friendly staff at the front desk. Even though they double checked to make sure our room was ready, the poolside area had been left a mess by the previous guests. But the staff took care of it when they did the general room cleaning in the morning. The discounts on tickets to local events was really nice! We saw the zoo, Telus Spark, and Calloway Park, and the discounts saved us a lot. Pool area was great, with two big water slides. Even when the main pool had to be closed for an hour because of "an accident" there was a smaller pool for the kids to continue to enjoy. Breakfast and dinner buffets at the restaurant were good.
It was a nice touch, when the cleaning staff did up the room and got the stuffed animals snuggled in the bed afterwards. The kids loved that.

The waterpark is the best part of our stay. Kids love it. The breakfast buffet is also great as there are more selections to choose from. The room is just okay because there's a curtain missing, the fridge isn't cooling properly and the microwave is very noisy (unusual sound when heating food) as if it would breakdown anytime soon.

Only came for the pool. Disgusted with the cleanliness of the room. Bedding smelled like piss.

I hope management see this!!

Especially during a pandemic they should really do a better job of cleaning their rooms. Even before settling into the room I had to disinfect everything.
