Best Friends Animal Society - Utah Review

Getting a hold of them is ridiculous. I have called them over 30 times in an hour and they have not answered. Very unprofessional, I need my cat s records and they never answer. Ridiculous.

They have been so wonderful and helpful to me during my catch and release process and I'm so grateful for the donations for my 7 community cats.

This organization Best Friends Animal Society (Please boycott by not spending with their corporate sponsor or donating to them) has given a grant to a TNR program here in Osceola County to the tune of $330,000 annually over 3 years. They are supposed to have 2 full time staffers (yet no one answers the phone just voicemail.) Have a vehicle to transport animals (and the VM asks how you the public intends to transport animals to vets for services) Sponser educational documents on the program (but with only a single flyer and a magnet not very educational since it's on the Osceola County Animal Control website (a kill shelter BTW) and here's my big issue deterrents bought and distrubuted by (you guessed it Osceola Animal Control) who shows up drops em off and goes without ensuring there are set correctly avoiding neighbors who may have animals in the path of the deterrent. Such is the case here (see the photo) I have a disability and a service animal. The deterrent was place at an elevated height, rather than using the mounting spike by the next door neighbor who has issues with my feeding the poor dears and lets his son harass the cats.Secondly it is in a direct path to my front door. Now thank God my service animal was trained to ignore such nuisances but he is nonetheless bothered by the ultrasonic sounds. His response was to hesitate and that is a huge problem. I rely on my service animal to act quickly when I can't and for this I say go elsewhere. And help my friend (photo) do his best to help me do my best.

I have been a volunteer here on the clean-up crew for about a month now and have enjoyed it! The staff that works there is always amiable and willing to help when I have questions. You can tell how much they care about the animals which then makes me want to leave the place sparkling! I look forward every week to being able to do my part to help the NKUT effort :)

These people are always amazing to work with, and offer such a wonderful service for animals!

We foster for best friends. Rarely have I seen an organization do as much for animals as best friends. Please adopt and don't shop. There are so many lives that need a home already.

I adopted a sweet cat here yesterday. The staff was very attentive and honest about the challenges and natures of the cats in which I expressed interest. It was clear that they knew their animals well. I was able to spend time alone with my potential adoptie and it was just what I needed to make an informed decision. It was such a positive experience!

I love that best friends is a no kill shelter! I like to go and play with the cats and give them a little company from time to time.

It is a nice place and was very clean. All the animals are kept inside what appears to be a store front.

Many friends have adopted pets here, also a pet food pantry for hard times. The take pet food donations too.

I have been here before everyone was so nice and I got to help out with the food and all of that (eagle scout service project ) it was so fun I may not have a pet yet but my family is now looking at adopting here it may a while a way from my home but it will be worth it to have a new best friend. And so many people have recommend coming here and I am so glad what a little perseverance can do.

This place is awesome! They take great care of their animals, and I love that their mission is to keep them out of shelters.They come and go really quickly, which is a testament to their quality standards. We found a beautiful fur baby here and are so happy we came to look!

Best Friends Animal Society, not only helped me get my own cat's spayed and neutered. But they also helped me get the community cats spayed and neutered and feed as well. Thank you so much.

My mom helps best friends I think they do a great job! Im glad they are no kill. Their buildings are always clean and look nice. The people that work there are amazing.

Guys there was kitties there! The staff is super friendly and non judgmental when I just randomly hang out there to look at cats and play. They are my favorite place to hang out. Thank you best friends! (I also got 2 cats there)

They make adoption remarkably simple and they know the animals they have very well to assist with a good choice.

I have adopted four animals from Best Friends Animal Society over the years. Recently two kittens from the Sugarhouse center. The location is central and has easy parking in an area that can be tricky.

The volunteers are friendly and they do what they can to educate you so if you do decide to adopt it will be successful. They also run special programs like two-for-one and discounts. It's always clean and the place is filled with light. I visited several times, and while they are very enthusiastic here, they also know when to back off and make you not feel followed around.

The way they have things divided are nice, so you can go in to pet adult cats or kittens. I have met a few people that just visit to get a fuzzy fix. The dogs have kennels and they have a meeting room if an animal piques interest. They also have a corner dedicated to merchandise to help raise funds. I am very happy to recommend them to anyone looking for a new pet.

Thank God for Best Friends. They do so much good. I mainly use their help for our feral cat community. TNR (trap neuter release). They have advocated for no kill shelters with wonderful success. West Jordan is no kill now and participating in TNR. Thank you Best Friends.
