Great places to have a beer and enjoy the fantastic view. Love the music and sitting by the water.

Great View..music ..food n service what more could one ask for ..oh wait , they never have a happy hour , all their hours r happy lol !!

Great Grouper sandwich and ice cold beers.

One of our favorite places to eat in Matlacha. Nothing eating on the water in a "mom & pop" bar / restaurant. Grouper Sandwich is great.

Had fish dinner.it was very good. We went inside to listen to the band. Great band. The service was great.

Went to this bar on our first night in Florida too see some turtle races! The turtle races were quite the entertainment, the beer was cold and the food was good!

Food was so good. Had fried three tail. Atmosphere was chill. Waitress was great. Would definitely go back.

Beautiful spot on the water, lightning fast service, and delicious food. They saw we were warm on the deck in the shade (record temps that day) and turned on several large fans which made it perfect.

Atmosphere, service, entertainment, location....all fantastic. Can't wait to return.

The view and atmosphere are great! We even saw some dolphins while sitting on the deck. The beer choice is fairly limited. The staff and other patrons were friendly. Our server was kind and friendly and did what he xould to fix kitchen mixups. We remained patient, let them fix the mistakes, and it was still overall disappointing food. We went on a Tuesday for the build a burger night. I was recommended the Black and Bleu burger. Rather than ringing it in as build your own, it was rang up at regular price. The burgers are also cooked medium unless notified otherwise; this was not in the menu. They apologized and tried to make it right. Still left overall dissatisfied with the food experience. Overall atmosphere was fun and relaxed with regular live music.

Mostly good stuff here. Menu is good and reasonable (consider the gorgeous view and the entertainment). So prices aren't too bad. Fried fish was a bit "dark" for me (on the breading), but tasted great.

Fun spot for a cold beer! Turtle Races on Saturday nights are great fun!

Outdoor dining, great staff, fish and chips basket, nice view.

Great Waterfront food and drink.
Ice cold beer , Boom Boom Shrimp and Key Lime pie are a must have. Our server was Nicolle who could not of been nicer.

I took my wife to Bert's to celebrate a special occasion and to take advantage of the all-you-can-eat fish dinner. I was most impressed with the gorgeous views from the restaurant's outside dining area. The beer was cold and service was slow but cordial. I was less impressed with the type of fish for the all-you-can-eat special and next time I'll upgrade to grouper or snapper. The live entertainment was excellent with the band covering Zeppelin, Boston and other classic rock bands. Great place to hang with your date, family or friends while watching the sun set on the Gulf.

Good food and decent prices. Only problem is parking.

Terrible service. A group of us came in, waitress keeps walking by never offering to sit us. No tables to accommodate our size so we try grabbing chairs to make it work, suddenly the waitress cares only to tell us we can t move anything. Ok fine no problem. Ask if there is seating inside to accommodate our party size and she says yes but doesn t even attempt to walk us in to seat us. Go inside and waited awhile before receiving any service at all. Food is overpriced for what you get. Cold and soggy. Table was grossly sticky. Amazed this place has 4.4 stars.

This was our 2nd time at Bert's and the food was delicious. Our server was amazing. We didn't have to want for anything. He is truly an asset for Bert's. Thanks for a great time!

The food was ok, not up to par for the price, but still not bad. The environment felt like an old, dirty bar. I brought in cleaning wipes and cleaned the table, they were disgusting. The server was friendly and helpful. For the price of eating there I'd prefer a more upscale place.

Great little restaurant and bar. Good food anytime. Afternoon outside music on deck. Live bands some evenings. Love the fried oyster plate.

We went for the all you can eat fish on Friday.. It was delicious and they give so much on the first portion that there was no need to order more. We definitely will be going back to try other items on the menu. Also, our server was excellent!

Some of the best food I have eaten.Nice to sit on the dock. Parking is a nightmare at best. Place is nice and clean. Fish and chips and deep fried shrimp are the best. Service could have been better but it was not bad. I would come back if I could find a place to park.

A bit windy and the cool side. Great for Bert's. On the water with a nice view.

I got blacken mahi mahi, house made chips, hush puppies and cole slaw.

The cole slaw was creamy, chips hot and crispy and the hush puppies were hush puppies

BUT the blacken mahi not so good. It was not extra spicy the way I ask. NOR very dry as it should be. It was like they just dipped it in a sauce and tried to fry it without any success.

But it was a beautiful view with a blustery winds and a nice server.

So come for the view....AAAHHHH be aware parking can be difficult. Going to it and leaving the lot.

Great place to eat, live music, right on the water. They have a bar with a pool table too.

On the water,great food ( blackened grouper sandwich today) ,cold beer attentive staff. Perfect lunch.

Our Corvette club made a cruise to Bert's fora Saturday lunch. 21 cars and 42 people. They handled our crowd perfectly and were happy to have us. The variety and quality of the menu was really enjoyed by all. Yes, it's mostly fried fare but nevertheless well done and tasty. The guy on the steel drums is very entertaining!
Recommend this fun place!
