Be careful where you park. They have a guy next door that came on the patio to our table and scolded us in front of other patrons for parking on his property. We told him there was no sign and we were sorry. He said that didn't matter and to go move our vehicle Immediately. The parking spot looked like any other in front of the restaurant. Once we we got over the intimidation of this JERK, we enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the entertainment. The management needs to address this situation as he is hurting their business.

My favorite meal is the blackened group but their clam chowder and fried fish are worth trying. Shady outdoor dining as well as air conditioned seating. Only wine coolers and beer products. Steel drum music in the afternoons. Occasional evening bands.

We had the blackened grouper, shrimp baskets and fish and chips. The grouper was downright amazing, the fish and chips were very bland and the shrimp was decent. Reasons to come
Berts brew very flavorful, the view and atmosphere.

The fish n chips were chicken-nugget shaped pieces, nothing fresh or Flakey. The tilapia was 1 thin piece and tasteless. The fries were terrible, greasy and overcooked. Service and decor was nice. But the food was definitely not worth the drive. Being that it's "on the water," we expected much better fish meals.

I personally think its overpriced...

Quality of food is pretty good and the outdoor dock is nice. Other than that I think it's a high priced location with fair service.

We ordered the All You Can Eat. but at the settlement the normal price was calculated, this was the food (fish) really bad. Greasy and already slightly superimposed.
My conclusion: NEVER AGAIN ......

Stopped for lunch, we shared the wings (extra crispy and medium) and the mushroom & swiss burger (no bun). It was really good! We loved the outdoor view in the back. We will definitely be back!

We sat on a small table for two at the veranda stretched over the blue waters of Matlacha Pass Aquatic Preserve. A wooden dock, with a boat tied up to one of its berths, extended from it, pointing south-east. Looking beyond, you can see the mangrove forest and the pelicans flying over the calm waters.

I felt good and expected to feel even better when the launch was to arrive.

Unfortunately, it was nothing like that. The staff looked an acted so bored that the whole experience went surreal. Their cold and aloof manner was the first hint that they 'just work' there. No smile, no 'Hello,' just gave us the menu.

The menu, as expected, had a lot of seafood options, but to our surprise, all of them with only one exception, 'the catch of the day,' was from frozen products. What makes it even bizarre is that there is a fishmonger shop for fresh products, just across the street, owned by the same proprietor as the restaurant.

I ordered the Catch of the Day. My wife, Buffalo Shrimps and Calamari. The meals looked appealing when arrived, but although my fish was unquestionably fresh, all food came undercooked. The shrimps and the calamari were chewy to the point we left half of it uneaten. The Homemade Chips ware bland, savorless and certainly - microwave preheated.

I liked the ambiance, but the food and the service were terrible.

I wouldn't recommend this place in any case except if you are dying from hunger.

Over rated dive bar. So I gave it five stars. Go for the view. Food pretty good service is OK at best. I would take all my help and train them on service for a week. They could easily double the profit. Needs a good cleaning or is that the ambiance? I get confused

The coke tasted nasty as if the ice cubes were made from the sea water. Furry in the finish, like lazy mouth
Chips were ok but already cold and the fries were a bit greasy. View was ok but unfortunately we just had a heavy rain shower when we were there
