Below The Radar Brewhouse is a great place to gather with friends, for a few brews, or family, for a fun night out. Weekends have the added pleasure of live music to go with the delicious food and wonderful home brews on tap. I especially enjoyed the 'Make Me Wanna Stout' and the Cuban Panini (Slow roasted pork, deli sliced ham, pickles, Swiss cheese and mustard on Gambino bread).

The menu said to ask the server for details on filling growlers which was great, because we were from out of town, brought growlers to fill and had no other option on new years day. The servers "details" were "um... yeah... well... we don't really do that anymore, and I don't know why they still have that on the menu. Everyone asks about it." Really, dude? Everyone keeps asking about the thing your menu says to ask about? What a world, huh. I wonder if they only do growlers on some of the beers and this kid didn't feel like bothering. Oh well.
Edit: Was since told by whoever responds to their fb messages that they DO still fill growlers, so I'm changing it from 3 stars to 1.

Arrived with a party of 4 with no reservations, after a deep sigh from the hostess she proceeded to walk away without saying a word and placed menus and silverware at table and said enjoy with a bland face and went back to whatever she was doing at her hostess station.

When our server arrived he wasn t rude, but very lethargic. Either he had no interest of being there or he was inebriated because his eyes were low and so was his standard of service.

6 wings, fish and chips, 1 chicken burrito and 1 rice burrito (chicken burrito with no chicken, vegetarian) were ordered as well as an appetizer of Mac and cheese bites. After an hour and 20 minute wait, the Mac and cheese bites arrived. 10 minutes later 3 of the four dishes arrived. The wings were luke warm and they forget the blue cheese. Fish was burnt and the chips were soggy. Waiting another 10 minutes for the other burrito to arrive, we asked our waiter and he just so happened to forgot to tell us that the other burrito was dropped and that the kitchen was making another. We cancelled the order, simply because we couldn t wait any longer. After we told the waiter we couldn t wait for the other dish he simply disappeared for the evening. We then asked for the manger, paid our bill and left.

We understood that they were busy, but when the larger party ( that was seated AFTER us) at the table next to us was getting their steaks and alcoholic beverages at faster rate and simply receiving better service, we realized that were second rate patrons at this establishment. I chose to dine here and was slightly embarrassed that my family had to go through this.

Never again.

This was our 1st visit to BTR and most definitely not our last! Had the dangerous blonde and the golden god both by BTR and were phenomenal! (We added an orange slice to the dangerous blonde and I personally loved it) The burger was massive and delicious, very well made The wings are the best I've had from panama city all the way to Huntsville. Honestly both of our meals, drinks and our waiter brennon made for an awesome experience! I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to splurge on a fantastic meal and great beer.

Just attended Father's Day Brunch here and it was my first time here. It was miserable. It took over an hour to get our food when they weren't even particularly busy. We had established a reservation over a week ago, and it still took an unacceptable amount of time for everything to show up. Drinks were refilled twice during the whole ordeal, and even that took a solid 20 minutes to complete (my grandfather had to eat his meal without a drink as they never did bring his water). The food is good (after I sent mine back because it was cold, as it would be if it was under a warmer for 30 minutes or so.), but the wait staff was either undertrained or having some major issues. Unrelated to our experience, but I noticed that other tables were having issues as well. Table behind us received someone else's omelette, table to our right didn't have menus when they sat down, table behind us and to the right had no silverware, and table ahead of us on the right were drinking from Solo cups. All in all, I don't think that this establishment is prepared to serve any sort of rush (place was at 2/3 capacity, maybe), and the wait staff needs some serious training, but the food is good if you ever get it.

Very fantastic beer selection. I had the lamb chops and they were absolutely amazing. I plan on coming back for sure!

"12oz Cajun Ribeye Disaster"
It honestly pains me to leave this review because I've historically loved eating here; however, this was my first visit back in about three years due to a move. Ordered the Cajun Ribeye dinner anticipating it to be the same exceptional quality it's historically been and it was pathetic. The ribeye was tough and a poor quality cut, it was drowning in the sauce, and the two sides were unusually bland tasting. I had to spoon the watery cajun sauce on the sides to give them a little more zest. Had I not skipped lunch that day in giddy anticipation of eating here, I would've left. I was blown away by the overwhelming sadness of this $34 entree, especially when some generic steakhouses serve better quality cuts for less money. What happened to this place? I used to brag to people about how awesome the food is here and would recommend it in a heartbeat; however, I hesitate to suggest it now... I really hope they get it together and bring the quality of this dish back to its former glory!

Their local beers are decent. Prices are typical for where I come from in Denver. Good guest tap menu and friendly staff.

Just awesome. It's hard not to give a brewpub 5 stars unless they completely suck, and this place is far from suck. The house brews are amazing, and the food is really excellent too.

Place was OK but it felt pretty weird getting chastized for reaching across the bar for napkins minutes after our food was served. Will go elsewhere from now on.

Wonderful surroundings/atmosphere, our server was attentive, and the food was delicious! My choice of entree was spicy, so that's something to be aware of, if you don't like spicy foods; you might want to ask your server if it is.

They have the best bloody mary on the planet! The staff is great, as well as their food. Thanks y'all!

The beer is really the best part about this place, obviously. Lots of choices and good prices during happy hour. Don't bother ordering the shrimp plate there. It was a ripoff!!! Not nearly enough food for the price and I heard they charge extra for cheese on a burger?? Anyway, I'd recommend just trying the house beers!

Great pub with good food! I always get the burger as it is among the best in town and comes on a really nice bun! Wife got the Cuban which was good as well. Always get a side of their house made ranch to dip my fries in ... Yum! I've tried their hot wings before and remember them to be delightful as well. Best of all though, is their large selection of craft brews on tap! I enjoyed their own blonde ale the most out of the beers tasted. Their own IPA was not too bad, but I was not a fan of their Oatmeal Stout ... that's part of the joy of going to the local breweries and sampling the brews in town. Shout out to their excellent management and service! I had some Sweet Deals gift certificates that I had paid for a while back and that had expired, which they redeemed with no questions asked! That's customer service you don't always see, so we'll be back for sure!

I am so glad I was able to try this place! The fish and chips was amazing! The beer was wonderful. This is one place that I would gladly make a road trip just to go back to. If you are in the area do yourself a solid and go by and have a great craft beer and some delicious grub!!!!

used to have a magnificent chef but now is mediocre. unique location but meh service. never order food before 530pm

We went there as the last stop on the brewery trail and they didnt have the bottle openers that we should have gotten as a prize. Instead the bartender made us order drinks and kept putting off giving us the stamp and opener. First he said we needed to pay our bill and when we did he still wouldn't give it to us because he was "busy" serving the 4 other people at the bar.

Found out as we are about to leave that he doesn't have any, KNEW he didnt have any and was sassy about it. Just not nice.

Date night at Below the Radar in Huntsville, Alabama with my better half. I enjoyed the delicious Cuban Sandwich, my all time favorite, and Victoria enjoyed the classic fish and chips. We also had some many local craft beers

Great food, service, and an excellent selection of beers. I always recommend this great place to friends.

Honestly not as good as I hoped it would be. I had the burger with a fried green tomato, slaw, and spicy goat cheese. My burger was overcooked and didn't have much flavor, and the toppings didn't do much for the burger itself. Half of the fries were overcooked too. The other folks at my table had varying degrees of success - fish and chips were good but expensive, Cuban sandwich was so-so. Bread pudding for dessert was too sweet in my opinion but others at the table enjoyed it. Overall, not a bad food experience but not amazing.

This is the kind of place that I would try to eat at once a week to be a regular. The atmosphere is fun but relaxing and the food is great. With so many rotating taps, it would be a challenge to try everything.

Best brunch in Huntsville. $12 pitchers of mimosas that ll get you there, every time! Customer service is fantastic, especially the bar manager. The chef is also the general manager and frequently walks around to make sure you leave happy. I can t say enough good things about this place - portions are also great.

I've been to BTR a lot over the years (100+ check-ins on Untappd). The food definitely seems to have taken a step down. The fish and chips were unevenly seasoned (one bite pure paprika and then 5 bites that are bland as can be). The Cajun rub wings were unseasoned on one side, and one of my 12 was undercooked. The beer (I had the No Accidents grapefruit NEPA) was quite tasty and easily the best part of the meal.

This place is absolutely amazing. Hands down the best pub type food we have had since we have moved back to North Alabama. The chicken wings and the cheesy ball appetizers were incredible. We also had the shrimp and grits and the fish-and-chips. Everything that we had was delicious. It has a nice atmosphere and decent service. For the few dollars more this place costs it's very worth it.

We visited for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The place seemed steadily busy, and the staff kept up with the pace well. We had burgers, which were very good. Tons of beer selections, which seemed popular with many of the patrons. The bartender (I really wish I could recall her name) waited on our table, and was fantastic. She was totally on top of things, and had a great personality. All in all, we enjoyed our visit and would definitely return and recommend it to others.

The wait was a little long, but, the beer selection was good and sitting outside on a beautiful evening made the wait ok. Food was good to, I would recommend going, just don't be in a hurry.

Came in for the first time and it was amazing. The manager Chico went way of his to help us. The staff was awesome and friendly as well. Talk about an awesome beer selection; including their own brewed beers, great local selection and others (over 40 beers on tap), and the food was outstanding. The menu looks great, but i went with the dailey lunch special. A steak gyro (beat gyro I've had in long time) served with a nice side salad. Kudos to the kitchen. I murdered that thing. Definitely will be back.

Beer selection and quality was great, but lost a star on the food. Pub food is pub food, but my lunch was rather poor by anyone's standards.

The have good food and good beer selection. They had music trivia in Friday night that was really fun. I would recommend this place for sure.

Food is always cold, and I mean ALWAYS. We come strictly for the cheap mimosas because that s about all you can count on at this place. I left my purse one time and they swore they couldn t find it until I enlightened them on the police report I had to file due to my social being in there.. got a call 10 minutes later saying that it was found. But the last straw was today, after paying everybody got their cards back but one girl. We tried to get it back and they swore they didn t have it, until it magically apeared. Not to mention the staff acted like they didn t see us when we asked them for the card back. Starting to think that the cheap alcohol is with the goal of people forgetting their things. I m so serious when I say this place is shady.
