Bit pricey ($17) for the lack of exhibits they have. Then they charge a $7.00 adder to do a tour.

Loved their organ display amd shows. Excellent for children
Very nice architecture, good inside interior a lot of space for different projects.
A huge tribute to Canadian music history and culture. Built around the King Eddy, Calgary's best known blues venue from the 50's that hosted many of the greats.
Awesome place to visit and learn about music & have fun
Great architecture in the Lobby but it was too late in the day to take in the rest of the museum.
Great architecture and interesting interactive exhibits! A nice and a must see place in Calgary.
Great place lots of information about music and history of musical instruments
Beautiful building. East village is shaping up just fine.
The theater organ show was interesting. Great way to spend half a day!
The building looks amazing. Great music. If you like architecture or music, I would highly suggest visiting.
If you love music, this place is great! You are able to try all of the instruments as well. Fun family outing.
Beautiful facility! Very well done. Discovered so much about the Canadian music scene that I didnt know about. A great mix of informative and interactive. We went on Sunday and paid $12/person and enjoyed it so much we applied what was allowed towards an annual family membership. Do keep in mind though that a family membership is for 2 adults and 2 children only so we had to pay an extra $28 for the additional youth membership.
What a wonderful place to see. We took out 7 year old and he had a fantastic time. Great experience
Awesome music museum. Delivers exactly what is promised.
It was so much fun, had a great time with my son and his school
This place is amazing. Planned to spend an hour and a half and ended up staying for over 4 hours.
Quote interesting if you like Canadian music history.
Beautiful architecture and exhibition spaces. There are plenty of seating for visitors that you could probably enjoy a short book as a break. Many hands-on exhibits and they're quite educational in content. Kind of miss how much more hands-on the old Chinook Keyboard Museum was, but there is something for any Canadian music, architecture geeks, and inner electricians.
Great place to spend an afternoon. Their collection and exhibits are really cool and interesting, but aside from those, be sure to check out some of the live demonstrations and performances. They really add to the overall experience. I really enjoyed the interactive features. Great overall experience.
If your into music you need to go. So much fun. My daughter and I spent an entire day there. The building is beautiful. The coffee at the coffee shop is super good too.
The space is amazing. Well architected for use of space and materials for green environments. I want able to tour the museum portion as I was there for a corporate event but I have heard it's pretty cool. The auditorium and stage was excellent.
Can't get tickets for your birthday Afterhours event online so just drop by tickets and get personalized service... And a smile and thank you
Load of information about Canadian music and huge collection music artifacts...
Amazing building and cool events inside of it, also a nice place to learn more about Canadian music
Was a really fun place to being the family and spend the afternoon.
The architecture here is simply amazing. It feels like you are actually part of a live instrument as you walk through the building. Living art at its best!
Best place for people who love musical instruments. If you want to learn how different instruments sound and want to try playing yourself they have a number of them for you to try.
Fabulous place to spend hours! Made me proud of our many talented Canadian musicians. The building itself is a architecturally amazingly gorgeously!
Beautiful space. Lucky to have this in my neighbourhood.
Quite a fascinating place. The architecture alone is worth checking out. All the staff was incredibly friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The live demonstrations of certain instruments along with the stories of their history are quite interesting. Lots of areas where you can actually interact with various instruments and music production equipment make it weLL worth the price of admission. There is always something going on here, whether it be live performances, tours demos etc. It's a place that everyone should check out at least once, it's quite easy to spend an afternoon there and one of those places that you'll learn something new everytime you return.
Staff was very useless and not helpful at the music museum was not impressed
Interesting exhibits, lots of interactivity, and live music. Also, one of the most interesting architectural designs I've seen.
Great building design. Lots of cool areas to take Instagram worthy photos. The interactive area were a lot of fun to explore. Recommend that everyone start from level 5 and work your way down to main level. Start with the fun interactive stuff on level 4 and 3
Very nice building. Great place as a wedding venue. Super relaxed atmosphere and architecture is amazing. Staff knows their stuff and can explain everything about the exhibits and construction
Amazingly eclectic collection of musical instruments and performer paraphernalia. Astounding architecture. Well worth a visit (or two, or more).
Well worth the trip for any age. If music has been in your life, this is the place WARNING. Strong percentage of Canadian content
Great space! The museum is fun for all ages and they have some interesting pieces such as Elton John's piano. They have a number of musical instruments you can try out as well. Keep an eye out for events at this location. They have the Studio Bell After Hours series each month in the evening with a bar and music set up. Makes for a fun date night or a night out with friends. Great addition to the East Village neighborhood.
Amazing history of music in Canada, you csn easily spend an entire day there !!
Beautiful architecture, great staff, an excellent place to hold an event. Also a great museum.
The first thing I ever heard about the NMC was that they had the sunglasses from the 'Sunglasses At Night' video. The second thing I heard was that they invited A Tribe Called Red to play the newly-restored TONTO synthesizer. When everything I hear about your museum sounds like the setup to a weirdly specific joke, you're doing something right.
What an amazing experience. Will definitely be returning
Always worth it. Revolving interactive stories display a glimpse into Canadian musical legends. Love sharing my membership with friends and family.
Great place! Lots of amazing stuff here. I enjoyed the interactive exhibits a lot. I got to use a theramin!!! Omgomgomgomg!!!
Went to see Robbie Robertsons "Once we were brothers". Excellent facility.
A very interesting place to visit. I was performing there as part of the Calgary Civic Symphony. The big focus on contemporary and popular music. I am told the tours are really good. The building is neat too!
So much to see. Wow. Music nerds in Calgary must see this.
Stunning facility with amazing architecture! Worth a couple visits.
Unbelievable! !!!! Must go place !!!! The architecture, expositions, contents, labs.... everything is really amazing.
Beautiful building and fantastic instrument artifacts. National Music Centre is a confusing name... "Canadian Museum of Popular Music and Technology" would be more accurate.
I would like to see more carefully curated and in depth exhibits. The whole thing is dominated by celebrities and quite inconsistent. I feel like a national music museum should be more than a collection of cool gear and celebrity writeups. There are so many significant areas of Canadian musical culture that are completely overlooked and it undermines the credibility of the museum as a whole.
Worth a visit but the gaps are big enough that the centre doesn't live up to its name.
Studio Bell is a beautiful building in a really sketchy area of the city. Homeless people are everywhere around it; I felt very unsafe when entering and exiting the building. Also, personally I think very young children should be free. One door is wheelchair accessible while the other is not. Barren areas of rooms which I think could have been designed better (either with seating for the elderly or wider spread displays).
Beautiful space, lots to learn about Canadian music history. The live music was great!
Best time of my life, great staff who tell you everything you need to know
I really like interactive museums. The architecture is wonderful. You can learn how to play guitar or piano. Some instruments don't have a description.
Attended the Steven page concert and the place is an absolute delight to visit. The memorabilia to the seating arrangements, everything is awesome about this place.
Lots of activities. You can spend 4-5 hours in there.
Great place. It was nice to share with my cousin visiting from Lower Mainland.
So much to say... Great architecture, creative interactive displays from the surround image and sound room taking your on a musical history journey across the geography of Canada. Lots of opportunities to play and learn instruments, accompanying great Canadian bands. The "kids create" zone worked really well, combining household items, latest technology alongside an "antique" phonograph. Can't wait to see the finished Family Resource and educational sectionwhen is finished.
I went with a school group and it was absolutely amazing. There are so many spaces to learn about music and sound and how it's changed throughout history. Definitely worth the trip!
Interactive and visually aresting. Make sure you see the Kimball organ demo!
I have time to play organ, and it is wonderful and grand
It's me! A lot of new things, Good
I recommend this 100% for anyone visiting Calgary. Beautiful architecture and fun interactives!
Interactive and fun. Great place to spend 3 or 4 hours in depending on how long you stay in each area. Overall, beautiful museum for the music lover.
Absolutely stunning architecture! Thoughtful exhibits and lots of interactive things to do. If you are visiting Calgary or if you live here, you want to make this a must see venue, especially if you love music.
Wow! Such a great venue and time!
Did the backstage pass...well worth it!
Good museum, there some interactive attractions like play the mixer, piano, drums and guitars there is also an amazing view of the Calgary's skyline
Great piece of Architecture. Enjoyed a wonderful performance by Copper Head
Was a great experience but would have liked to come here when there was less people. All in all, it was an okay experience.
