Small Zoo, but great for young kids. My family did it in under 2 hours. For the size the animals are impressive (tigers, bison, red panda, etc)

Just the right size and animal variety for young kids.
Great to go with little kids,is very small but cute
They offer a miltary discount to family members but I went and took a copy of my dads military Id, and Ct resident Id with same home address as mine which is also on my Id, and said they can not give me the military discount because he is not present. Do they not realize that many members of the military are often off in other countries serving OUR country? I find it disrepectful.
Small not much to see but charging so much to get in
Small but nice. Good views of the animals. Black leopard was cool as well as the red panda. Very kid friendly. Only take takes about an hour to get through since many exhibits are closed due to covid-19.
Only zoo in Connecticut. Just amazing! A must visit!
Nice cool zoo plenty to see and have fun. Great for kids and the animals look healthy and plenty of space
Being the situation of covid-19 it felt great to get out and enjoy the beautiful day...only thing is I felt their wasn't enough animals to see and we kinda flew right through it all... I'm not sure what the regular price is but I paid 15 per adult 10 per child...if that is regular price then I think they should have charged at least a little less
Took my son and spent a few hours there. He loved it and he is 2. Great for younger kids
I think this place as well as the park its self is one of my favorite places to go. The kids like it too.
Animals are amazing. My kids had so much fun and learned a lot too. Can't wait to bring them back!
I love the place. Its so unexpectedly beautiful. I will visit again
Had a great time with my family, touring the Zoo. The place was clean staffed with helpful people and many wonderful Animals.
Great zoo! The otter was very entertaining while I was there. One of my favorite animals. The food staff was a little gruff with the customers.
Nice little place to take the family, on the smaller side but my daughter absolutely loved it. Some exhibits were closed for construction but we'll be back to check them out.
Man I dont know what's in the air there but I was intoxicated the whole way through.
The only good thing I have to say is that it was nice not to be crowded by everyone and u didn't have to worry but I was Very very disappointed. There was barely anything open. The gift shop wouldn't allow u to pay with cash. The workers at the gift store were rude. They should honestly charge less. We were out of there within 30mins. No otters no petting zoo alot of things were under construction or just closed. Probably would never go back. I never have wrote a review before but had to.
Gotten bigger and better over the 30 years. Great day with kids..
Decent Zoo. Fun activities for the kids. Interesting place.
Understand that I have been coming here for 50 years. This place has gone back and forth as a local attraction to a adjunct to the park and back to a focal point. I was brought here as a child, and have gone full circle bring my own kids here. Always well-kept, interesting and lively, I never tire of walking the zoo, the property and the park. It is an unique experience that I recommend to anyone
A great small zoo doing good work in education and conservation.
place was clean and nice, but the animals enclosures were the equivalent of a 10 gallon fish tank... small and crowded. the animals looked disinterested or sleeping, and a few looked very thin (the deer for example)
none of the sanitation stations had any hand sanitizer.
i will stress again, how small the animals cages were... ESPECIALLY THE RATS. 2 rats in such a tiny space is stressfull, non engaging, and beyond cramped.
overall it was an okay expierince, fun to see a lot of animals... would reccomend for older people, as kids want to see excited/alert animals.
A little gem of a zoo. Just enough variety to keep ages 1-8 occupied for 2-3 hours. Not the best repeat-visit zoo for older children due to its relatively small size but a great repeat-zoo for preschoolers thanks to the little outdoor play area and the wandering guinea fowl, especially.
I have always had a hard time going to zoos as I tend to get emotional at the fact that these animals are cooped up in small cages, but this zoo had appropriate accessible information explaining certain predicaments pertaining to "struggling" animals not cleared for release just yet. I also appreciated the fact that some of the animals were kept offsite due to the weather not being quite right for them, it did not bother me that they were not there.
The zoo is small wich It's perfect for little kids.
Such a cute zoo. Plenty of parking. The carousel and food are reasonably priced. There is a nice outside play area. If you can go during Halloween they really deck it out. The entrance fee isn't too expensive either. Bathrooms are clean. My kids really enjoy it there
Ideal for family outing under the age of 5 to 12 and up
Disappointed , may be it's due to covid as most of the attractions are closed. Very small and we were done in less than half hr.
verry clean animals are kept verry clean and well taken care of.easy to get around and to see the animals.people take pride 8n what they.do.
Great little zoo in CT. $16 for Adults and $13 for a child. Prices are worth it. Daughter loves going and it will leave enough time in the day to do something else.
Terrible. They closed half the zoo down for remodeling and still charged full price. That should be illegal. Ripping people off like that. The kids were bored.
Small, but mighty. I enjoyed every second of being here. Great way to pass the time if you have little ones! Loved it!!
Some walking but i liked it also there was one animal i rate it number four.
Great little zoo. My daughter is younger, 2 and a half, and we had a great time. Was plenty for her to do for a few hours.
A great place to bring the kids or just take a lovely walk and see beautiful animals. The new red panda habitat is wonderful and there is construction going on for spider monkeys and an updated farmyard. Staff and volunteers are friendly and informative. Food is very good at the cafe and who doesn't like merry go rounds?
Very cute zoo for children of all ages. Perfect size.
We had a good time, the tickets are decently priced, and the animals are clearly well taken care of. I was a little disappointed that so many exhibits were closed, I understand the indoor exhibits, but I missed the otters! The timed ticketing worked well, but it was difficult not to fall into clumps of people. The park is supposed to be one way, but there wasn't enough signage or employees to be clear where we needed to go
Small zoo but well maintained. Peacocks were great attraction. Kids loved it as they were cage free.
Great place to visit. It's just the right size place to cover in about 2 hours. Most of the animals were out to enjoy a 53 degree day. The canteen had good food that is way better than McDonald's. Service was a bit slow but that to be expected for the off season.
Nice little zoo. Enjoyable to walk around for a few hours.
The zoo would be more enjoyable if we were not in the middle.of covid-19 and the eating area was treated for the amount of bees that fly around the eating areas and all exhibits were open. Overall the animals that we were able to see was great!
First time coming to the zoo. I love this place and very friendly environment. Furthermore my mom love it and she cannot stop taking pictures of everything she seems.
The last time I was here was in 1993 lots of new attractions will visit again
They have what you need most of the time in the prices are reasonable for the area
Nice small family type zoo. The special exhibits like the penguin area and the camel rides is a nice touch.
The bathrooms are few an fair between, very small but cute
Red tail hawk seen soaring in attacking mode hitting water takes off then we see a black mallard pooping his head up hawk just missed supper we saw junior 5 minutes later saw dad in the tallest tulip tree in the park
Amazing two foot bird
Mist tents and lots of shade allowed my family and I to enjoy a lovely day walking around the zoo. Even though it was sunny and warm we were able to find a lot of shade and mist stations. Kids loved seeing all the animals.
Didnt realize how small the zoo was but it was great for kids and workers are very friendly. for the size of it has lots of diffrent animals.
Amazing place to relax, catch nice views, capture great pictures, etc. Definitely a place to visit when you're in the Bridgeport area.
Connecticut's only zoo. Nice small zoo, hopefully the state recognizes that it has a star attraction that they should build on.
