It amazing! Had a lot of fun with my family. I will definitely recommend coming to this zoo. It s a very relaxing environment and the staff is very friendly and organized. Most importantly, the zoo it s so clean. Well kept, I loved it. They also have a play ground area for young children. My 1 year old had fun. I loved it.

Wonderful little zoo, with lots of animals for children to see. It's small size, when compared to other zoo's such as, the Bronx Zoo makes it very easy to navigate and relatively quick to walk though. The price for admission is also relatively cheap.

Beardsley Zoo is a beautiful peaceful place. Perfect zoo for children from infants to teenagers. I always felt safe bringing my twins here. My children and I created a lifetime of memories and always had so much fun. The special events like Howl-O-Ween are planned wonderfully and the staff is terrific. And don t forget the historic carousel

I would ve gave this place a five star but I didn t for the following reason

Visited on July 24th 2020 for my daughter s birthday we had lots of fun until this very disrespectful worker by the name Kathy who worked at the Tiger s station disrespected my family while we were passing by her telling us it s common sense guys social distancing even though we all were wearing masks. She messed up my daughter s birthday. Also when we went to complain to the manager she continued being rude and verbally attacking us until the manger told her to go away.
P.S every worker there but Kathy was extremely nice and helpful.

I had a very nice family outing. Due to COVID-19, you aren t able to go the visionary room (not sure if they are called like that). But most of the animals are recused. They don t have a ton of animals but it was a nice experience. A nice place to take your kids in the Bridgeport area.

Good place to spend half a day with the kids. Not too big, easy walk around the zoo. You can pack a lunch and make it a picnic, there are lots of picnic tables around.. Not many wild animals.. the tiger was the highlight obviously.. there were few cages with no animals, renovation was going on when we went..

We love the Beardsley Zoo. Large enough to spend a few hours and see some fun animals (tigers, wolves, alligators, birds and more!), but small enough to let younger kids walk around with you and not need the stroller to contain them.

It's a fun event that isn't too costly for the kids and adults will get a kick out of the animals as well. They also have a courasel and a cafeteria which is pretty convenient. But they aren't opposed to you bringing in food, for those of you who prefer a little slice of home with your adventures.

I'd like to give it 5 stars because I love animals and so does my daughter but out visit was shortened because of covid and a recent tropical storm so a lot of exhibits were closed. But being our first time there, it had a pretty nice layout to it

Surprising amount of exotic animals: from Andean Condors to Amur Tigers, and much in between. The zoo is not overly large and is easily walked in an afternoon. Very kid friendly, they have multiple camps and children's programs available at good prices. The staff are easy to find and quite approachable, one of the zookeepers took 20 minutes to talk to my wife and I. We will continue to visit for all these reasons.

Very clean, well kept zoo with a great variety of animals, including some free roaming peacocks : ) Easily navigated and well shaded with some natural, older trees and has a very interesting history for CT...it was also surprisingly easy to get to!!

Small, but well played out. Went with dtr, son-in-law and their children, ages 4 and 28 month twins. They loved it. Petting zoo was closed, making the whole trip 90 minutes. A worthwhile excursion.
