I had an excellent experience working with Beacon Hill Staffing! From my first meeting with them I was employed within 2 weeks at an incredible job. They were very helpful to me at every step along the way. I was prepped with interview questions, given background info for all of my meetings and given helpful advice when I received 2 very competitive offers in the same week! I can't recommend them highly enough!!

A huge thanks to Alicia MacDonald for believing in me and not giving up on me. I still remember all the times that I called her and left her messages and she always called me back and assured me that she is looking out for me. Alicia demonstrated pure professionalism and always maintained a relationship between a candidate and a recruiter. Did a weekend gig working with another agency and someone mentioned Beacon Hill Staffing. Have to say this has been one of the best experience I have had working with a staffing agency compared to others. Suzanne "Suzie" Rizzardi called me within a day; less than 10 hours of submitting my resume. And she walked me through this process literally from start to finish and stuck with me through a complex background check process with my current placement.
She has followed up with me now a month into placement and has expressed if at any point I have issues or concerns she can always find me another placement. Also if I stay till the end date she'll recontact me well before then and place me with another long term - permanent position.
I never felt like a commission check it was always a two way street with great communication this jobs exactly what I pictured when we first interviewed a month ago. They're really fast and efficient, I was placed in about 2 weeks!!!! Thank You Suzie I highly recommend her and this agency. Told my brother to apply as well.

I had a fantastic experience working with quite a few recruiters at Beacon Hill. They all took the time to ask me thorough questions about what I was looking for to ensure they would get me a job I would be happy with. They did an outstanding job pairing me with an amazing company and getting me a significant salary increase. I cannot recommend them enough.

I also had a bad experience with them. I applied for a job on Craigslist and got a call from "Derek" who just had to speak with me right away. He loved my resume and said he had the "perfect" job for me. But first, he needed to meet me in person. This was on a Monday and we made an appointment for 1:00pm, that Wednesday. I don't live around the corner from Chadds Ford, so it was a bit of a trek for me, but I was really excited about this job and couldn't wait to learn more about it. When I arrived for my "interview" on Wednesday, someone greeted me in the lobby and asked me to have a seat. They said Derek was out to lunch but would be back within a few minutes. 15 minutes later no show. Finally a woman appeared and said she was Derek's partner (they work in teams) and that she would be interviewing me that day. I thought that was really strange and extremely unprofessional since Derek and I had spoken specifically about a job I was interested in. When I mentioned this position to his partner, she informed me that Derek was actually at the office in Philadelphia, meeting with that same client right now...putting in a good word for me. I asked her how that could be the case since Derek told me he couldn't proceed without first meeting me in person. She seemed tongue tied and said Derek felt confident of my abilities and ...blah blah blah. I shut down after that. What a crock. Like many temp agencies (but not all of them), recruiters try to get your resume and name/credentials into a database. It's all about getting you in the office - even if they have to lie to do it. What ticked me off was, I wasted an afternoon, time that I could have been looking for a "real" job and gas, which is not cheap these days. After this appointment I went home and emailed Derek and he blew me off a couple of times. When I inquired about this "wonderful job that was perfect for me" he bought time after time by saying things like "oh, the VP is on vacation and they have to make the final call" or "I'm waiting for a call back to find out when we can send you in for an interview." Yeah right. Finally, after about two weeks of Derek's bullshit, he tells me that the company has decided to put hiring for that position off for a few months. He then proceeded to tell me he will keep posted on future job opps. Yeah, right, Derek. You're full of it. Thank you for wasting my time and money to come meet with you, while you weren't even there. You are an unprofessional liar and I wouldn't take a job with your phony Beacon Hill agency anyway. By the way, toss my resume. I found a wonderful job with a real temp agency who has professionals working there. Philly Temps is your best bet!!! Good luck to all of you out there looking for work. I know it's difficult, but hang in there! And STAY AWAY FROM BEACON HILL!

Great and precise

I was partnered up with Beacon Hill Staffing Group for a new position and so far no problems. My agent is very helpful and was very open to any and all questions I had regarding my new position

I must have been given the wrong person to work with because I was completely blown off. I was connected with someone who I thought would actually help and made me feel confident that I would have a job in no time after a FaceTime interview. I was told that I would be sent sample resume templates immediately after our conversation (which I had to ask for days later) and after using the only one that worked and sending it back, I got no response. I had to send multiple emails trying to connect with this person and finally gave up after receiving no response. The only positive thing I got from this experience was a better resume that I revised. If you re looking for help just google resume templates.

I went through the Chicago location and am so pleased with my experience. Mary was so proactive and I could tell she cared about finding the right fit for me. Every time I voiced a concern to her or had a question, she got back to me the same day. I just got placed in my first assignment within three weeks of living here.

Matt Shannon recognized the value of my experience and never let me forget it! One day I joked that he was the only one [recruiter] for me. To which he flat out responded that I should try one or two other firms and searching on my own also. He didn't want the pressure of being the only person on the hunt. I already was but took the advice to heart: take ownership, manage risk, cope with rejection, have faith. Even during during the holidays when BHSG didn't have new listings to which I was well suited he responded to my emails requesting insight into companies hiring through LinkedIn and Indeed. If you're in the market for a [new] role I recommend Matt. He will answer all of your questions about 'how this sort of thing works', respond immediately to within 24 hrs depending on the nature of the email, and he is fully "himself". It was a pleasure working with someone that is genuinely nice, professional, hopeful, and realistic but I start a new job Monday. Thank you Beacon Hill Staffing Group for retaining and supporting team members like Matt Shannon!

Beacon Hill staffing agency has been and continues to be extremely helpful in placing me quickly into a new career! My personal staffing consultant Marissa stays in communication by email and phone. She always keeps me updated on where I am in the documentation, interview and paperwork process. I've never had such amazing guidance in searching for a job.

I met with someone about a month to discuss my resume and job search. Didn't hear from her in a couple of weeks so I emailed and inquired about some of the job postings that were on the Beacon Hill Staffing website. She said she would look into some of them and get back to me. Haven't heard from her since.

I needed work during that awkward time between finishing my PhD and seeking work outside Academia. I found BHSG to be extremely easy to work with, and placements started coming in within 48 hours. The worst I can say is that their online paperwork system can be somewhat repetitive. I strongly recommend them, especially Elizabeth Manheimer .

I applied to a posting on their website, which didn't mention the location. Someone from their Boston office called me out of the blue when I was in the middle of some work. They were really rude, as I was not interested in the staffing agency itself, but rather the job I applied for. Rather than giving me any information about the role itself, he started asking me a lot of questions, and when I told him that I was not in Boston area, he became really rude and told me that if I had let him ask questions we would have hung up hours ago, and told me that he will send an email to all recruiters to "not disturb me". I am always hesitant to work with recruiting companies as they give you calls everyday when they have a role, but won't even pick up your phone if you need them. Kindly be nice to your clients.

I recently worked with Katie Smith at Beacon Hill Staffing group, which was my best experience with a staffing agent/agency yet (and I've talked to a lot of recruiters over the years, including a personal connection who owns their own successful search firm). I felt like Katie truly listened to my somewhat niche career interests - which differ slightly from my prior work experience, making the search for the right fit rather challenging.

Katie sent me a broad range of opportunities and let me decide what was worth pursuing, but she put in the extra effort to outline why she thought each role might be a good fit for me. After being told by other recruiters that my desire to change career directions AND fields was not realistic, or just being sent endless positions that matched my past experience rather than my future goals, Katie was a breath of fresh air in the job hunt.

I found both Kathryn Schmitt & Kyle Mallory to be very polite, personable and professional Staffing Consultants located in the Nashville, TN offices. Both were very quick to respond to my questions and in contacting the company with whom I am contracting. I believe they worked to partner with me to create a successful placement team which drastically sped up my placement in my desired position as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer.

The most professional Temp Staffing Agency out there. One of the best things I experienced while working with Beacon Hill Staffing Group was their engagement and commitment on finding the best fit for me. My recruiter called me almost every other day with potential positions until I landed a job.

They would always be the one to email and call you when you apply for any sort of jobs they posted. They would always say very similar things like I came across your resume and it looks great, or I have a position here that will be perfect for you all this to hook you in. Then they make you come all the way here for the interview which wasn t even an interview. They have you fill out this form, copy your ID, then tell you that they ll give you a call when there is an opening. Then they send you on your way and never call or contact you again. It s like this whole ordeal never happened. It was a waste of time and it brought up my expectations for no reason at all.

I have had a great experience with Beacon Hill so far. I truly believe this staffing firm cares about you and will try their best to find an opportunity that matches your skill set. I am specially thankful for Michael Beatty for staying in touch with me from the beginning. I would most definitely refer Beacon Hill Staffing for prompt and precise placement of employment!

Amanda is a rockstar at BHS. I have known her for a few years now. When I initially came to BHS, Amanda and I chatted and she helped me find a few temp jobs to fill the gaps until full time employment (that s how I preferred to work).
I had another gap a few years later in my employment and I reached out to BHS thinking I d have to start from scratch. Instead, Amanda immediately remembered me and happily helped me with my search. She is a great communicator - touches base often with the status of jobs/interviews etc.

I was connected with Beacon Hill at the end of this summer by a friend who had a positive experience with them. Being a recent college graduate, I spent all summer interviewing and trying to stand out in positions that suited me. After having little success (even having a decent resume and background) I interviewed and connected with Beacon Hill and had immediate success. The responsiveness of the team at Beacon Hill was incredibly motivating and helpful. Within weeks they had positions and short to long term positions available to me. Successful! I connected with Beacon Hill a month ago during my job seeking adventure. I have worked for and with employment agencies in the past but this has been my most pleasurable experience. I am very pleased with the effort, follow through, and friendliness of Emily Tabacchi.

I worked with the Carmel/Indianapolis Location. The staff was friendly and the gentleman that handled my resume was great. They always had ideas on how to present myself better and interview tips. They provided as information as possible to make everything count. They were able to find a position that matched my background that skipped over a contract and went direct hire. No other agency was able to do that for me or give me a decent opportunity.

These people claim to have all these jobs, but you barely even hear from them. I mean they will completely ignore you. I have contacted at least 3 people i met over there now, and none of them even gave me the courtesy of a response. Ps i would recommend ANY agency..robert half..aerotek..etc..anyone but beacon hill!

They are great. I have YEARS of professional work experience in government, politics and research. However, while in between consulting contracts, I was in need of a place to work. So an adviser recommended Beacon Hill. Jacqueline Lord, Kelly Davis, and Julie all read my resume, saw my experiences and committed to not giving me anything that was sub-par. Jacqueline specifically only sent organizations my way that paid up to my level and had opportunities for me to grow. The Beacon Hill staff did NOT place me in some low level company as if I have no work experience--they truly catered to me and kept me up to date on opportunities. Lastly, knowing how hard it is to keep your spirits up during the job search, they were always reaching out and encouraging me. They were fabulous.

Beacon Hill Staffing is one of the best staffing agencies that I have worked with. I met Alec Durkin who was very professional and accommodating with my job search. My experience with Francesca and Tammy at Beacon Hill in Pittsburgh, PA is great! They answer my questions and returned my phone calls within 24 hours. Francesca and I communicate via email sometimes. My first assignment was not a good fit for me. I spoke with Francesca and she told me that she would look for another position for me. I called the office and Francesca was not in,but Tammy was willing to help me.

These two ladies had me scheduled for an interview on my next assignment within two months. I landed a long -term assignment with a good, solid company that is less than 15 miles from my home. Francesca calls me periodically to check on how I am doing and if things are going well at my job. I apologize for not writing this review sooner. Really disappointing. I came in for an appointment to discuss my resume and what I was looking for. I found out the person assigned to me was going on vacation so I had to meet with three people since my cv "was so unique." They said I might have to settle for an administrative temp job but they would keep looking for things more in line with my vision.

They didn't. I sent them copies of my updated resume after taking their advice, and reached out to two of the three employees I met several times. They missed phone meetings that THEY scheduled with me and had zero follow through. Beacon Hill Staffing never even called me about a job. You get what you pay for I guess. I would give them a negative star rating if I could.

Also whoever is behind that bot is that's replying to all of the bad reviews, please don't bother. You're sending the same message to all of us and aren't actually offering anything.

I have never had a more pleasant, and efficient experience as I've had with Abigail O'Connor at Beacon Hill Staffing Group. I am a young real estate professional in Boston and I've always felt that every recruiter I've ever encountered and there has been quite a few were absolutely incompetent, unprofessional and have wasted my time just so they can add my resume to there companies pile of resumes. Abigail was excellent and sharp with her communication. She advised me on how to adjust my resume and once I did she readily sent it to employers and efficiently got me into interviews as well as consistently stayed in touch to suggest options that may interest me. I found this a breath of fresh air to correspond with a professional recruiter who did not have me come in to interview just to waste my time. In conclusion within a week and a half I was hired on the spot at an investment company in the financial district with excellent hours and complete flexibility with the duration of employment. I am happy that I no longer have to search endlessly and Abby found me somewhere that suits my needs and will allow me to still pursue other ventures while working part time. She is a great at what she does and is perfect to work with if you are a serious professional in the job market that appreciates professionalism, transparency, and sharpness! I highly recommend Abby.

Customer service is fantastic, and always keeps you up to date. All of my interactions and conversations have gone well. Last month I had an interview with Angela S. at the Manhattan office. We were discussing my previous work experience, and she asked where my last position was located. I told her in Houston. Her response was "oh, is that where you are located now?" I said yes, then when she looked at the top of my resume she said "oh, I see now it says Houston at the top of your resume." After she found out I was located in Houston, the interview was pretty much over. She didn't seem interested in what I had to say or anything. I feel like I had wasted my time and money going up there for the interview. I thought the whole point of sending your resume over was for the recruiter to review it before calling you in for the interview. Obviously she didn't really look at my resume because, if she had she would've saw my location and I could've saved myself $300 purchasing my flight. Relocating is not a problem as I stated to her in the interview. I have relatives that live in NY. If Beacon Hill Staffing is only holding interviews to meet their quotas, that is no way to do business. Very unprofessional and lack of attention to detail on their recruiters end. If I could give zero stars I would. Very disappointed in this staffing agency.

The recruiters were very professional and kind upon meeting, but I was left with unfulfilled promise and never heard back for even an update on the status of what may be available. I had to call once to see if they remembered me and that I was still looking to see what they could find, was told I would hear back but never did. I did end up finding a full time position on my own with great pay and benefits but it seems most people here only get a good outcome if they work for the the staffing company in some internship or short time job

I've tried connecting with the recruiter multiple times and often got ignored or forgotten about. I have a Master's Degree and am highly employable. I gave up and worked with another agency that got me a great job in 72 hours. I wish I got the great experience most other people seem to have. I would not recommend this group to anyone I personally knew based off of my experience.

Very Poor Staffing Company; I have to say it. I was really excited when I had applied for a job online, but went all the way there and DID NOT EVEN KNOW it was a staffing agency. They spoke of the position as though it were with the company itself - Which was a HUGE Disappointment. I ended up meeting, with Shannon Dempsy. She is very kind, but only seemed to have roles that would span from week to week. I did end up with a permanent offer, which was great, but it involved moving and at the time it was not an option. I ended up finding a job on my own which I had for years. Then I ended up moving and now needed to find employment. Again I applied for a job, not knowing until I got a phone call that it was with this agency. This time I met with HANNA. Ans O.M.G. the WORST. I waited forever for starters - which was really disrespectful seeing as to we scheduled a week prior. I called and called, and left messages and she called me back maybe twice, but with NOTHING. Just simply returning my calls. Months go by and then she has the nerve to send an email checking up on me. Now that I have found a job on my own I figured to post a review, but in reading someone else's and the company's response; I took it upon myself to Try to turn it into a positive experience; and send an email to the customer service email as stated in the responses. Waste! They just reconnected me to her AGAIN. And when I asked, why she never gets back to me on anything - she had the nerve to then email me with family issue excuses. Understandable that may be happening right now, but please explain the last 9+ months as well as the lack of phone calls and emails. Very poor service and I have lots of qualifications and went to school? I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone - Not unless there was a way for you to be connected to Shannon.

I have had the pleasure of working with Shannon Dempsey, a Senior Managing Consultant at Beacon Hill Associates, for about 4 months now. For anyone looking for new job opportunities, I would highly recommend Shannon as your managing consultant without reservation. She is personable, persistent, and persuasive. In the time we spent together, she contacted me several times a week about open positions that I matched well with. She made it possible for me to get into meetings with the right people, and as a result, an excellent job offer.

Shannon's drive and hard work ethic make her a leader in her field. Her passion and self-motivation makes her reliable. Her candor and approachable demeanor makes her human and humble. There is nothing short of her consulting abilities. In fact, she is more than a managing consultant. She is an insightful researcher who pairs the right people with the right positions. I didn t have th greatest experience with this staffing agency. When I showed up for my interview, I waited 30mins and no one came out. I ended up leaving and rescheduling for the next day. I was supposed to meet with two people but only met with one. The person with whom I met, said she would let the other person know what we discussed and that they would both be in touch. I was submitted for one job and one job only - that I know of. There was no communication after that. I found my own job and still haven t heard from them. This was similarly the case when I tried them a year ago. If I m ever in the position of looking for employment again, I wouldn t use them after my experience.

Since relocating to Chicago just over a month ago, I have been working with multiple staffing agencies to secure work and for the most part, I've had less than positive experiences. Working with Beacon Hill is another story. From the start, my experience working with Mary Corrigan has been seamless. I applied for a position online and within an hour, got a call from Mary who set up a in person interview at their office the following day. After our meeting, she sent me a variety of roles that fit both my interests and long term goals. She helped me to secure the new role I'll be starting next week and even found me short term gigs to fill the time during the search and interview process. Thank you, Mary!

Some individuals here are very unprofessional. They also tell you they can place you and have nothing lined up. They get mad when you can come up with the reason you will not take a smaller and much lesser paying assignment although you have the experience.

This place is a not a place to go if you are highly qualified and looking for job placement. My friend has multiple graduate degrees from Oxford and LSE and they offered her a job as a receptionist.

I had a great experience with Beacon Hill Staffing Group. I worked with Sarah and Laura, whom both have been very helpful. From setting up the phone screen and interview, to walking me through the paperwork and clearance process which is a little more intensive for the role I was accepted an offer for.

Beacon Hill Staffing Group was a consistent source of attentiveness and professionalism in my job hunt. They very regularly provided me with not only interviews, but inside knowledge about the role, the company, the interviewers I would be meeting, and more. They had answers to questions like 'what to wear,' to what parts of my resume I should be emphasizing to a potential match.

They were very available for interview prep, and even helped me craft thank you letters and coordinated an extension on a written application that fell on a very busy time for me. I actually worked with Beacon Hill a few years ago when I moved to Boston and received an offer from a firm, but it wasn't quite right for me at that point and it had nothing to do with Beacon Hill or the firm. However, my recruiter, Anne Luzhetskaya and I always remained in touch. Three years later, she sent a new position to me and it was absolutely perfect for both me and the Company. I had a very positive experience with Beacon Hill Staffing. I got a referral to Heather Harrold-Carpenito. She was personable and incredibly accommodating. I had a specific job in mind. Heather forwarded my resume to the recruiter who had the job, and went a step further and introduced me to another recruiter who had other jobs.They set up the interview I requested. I was hired at the interview, for a temporary position and in a little over two weeks later I was offered a permanent position. During those two week I was sent on 3 interviews. I worked with three Beacon Hill recruiters. They were helpful and respectful, and most importantly, they helped me get the job I wanted. During the whole process, I felt like they were rooting for me to succeed.After I was hired they sent me cards congratulating me. I received four cards. I couldn't be more pleased.

I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and assistance I received from my associate.. She had me well prepared for my interview and took time to clarify the needs of the client I was interviewing with. She was with me every step of the way up to my interview. I believe her help allowed me to be offered the job the same day I met with the client.. I applied in June & never heard anything. They didn t even allow me to speak with anyone & I gave these people an ample amount of time. Why have phones if you don t speak with anyone? Why attach numbers if for everything you say if we feel you re a good fit someone will reach out to you .. um okay so ALL OF THESE POSITIONS IM SEEING THAT REQUIRE HALF OF MY SKILLS YOU DONT THINK ILL BE A GOOD FIT? They gather your info to get your hopes up & leave you hanging! WORST COMPANY IVE WORKED WITH EVER! They tell you they ll keep you on file, but also tell you to keep applying! BEWARE!!! IM SURE IM MORE QUALIFIED THAN THE PEOPLE SITTING IN THERE! WATCH THEM RESPOND TO THIS FASTER THAN THEY DO RESUMES!!! REVIEWS DONT LIE!
