Stunned. I sent an e-mail on 30 July and shortly after spoke with Jaclyn Conlogue
for an estimate on a catering event for my wedding. Now it's Aug 18th and never heard from her. Multiple attempts to contact her failed. I called to speak with a manger and explained to Amanda and her response rather snippy was they all had a lot on their plates. I only hope this is not the normal level of customer service. I was very excited when I found them on the net.

Many good choices. Good kids menu choices too. Delicious! I repeat, delicious only because it needs to be said twice. You wait in line, order, then go sit. Sauces are right on the table which is covered in disposable white paper, so go ahead and make a mess! Staff were all beyond friendly, so nice. I would go here again, it is a must if you are visiting the area. Try the broccoli salad, I loved it.
The only detractor was the sweet tea, but then again I like true southern sweet tea. You know, sugar water with tea flavoring in it. This was not that, but they had sugar packets out so you can adjust.

It was very busy this past Saturday. My son and grandsons arrived before me and my daughter in law. He had finished his food but remained seated waiting for us (we were in line). He was asked by the owner/manager to get up if he wasn't eating. After a very long wait in line and then to get our wings we got the order to go because there was no seating. Very poor way to treat paying customers. I will not go back.

We stopped here after hiking White Oak Canyon and we're starving. They staff was so friendly, helpful, and kind. We ordered online and ate under the tent and it was fantastic. The pulled pork and ribs were fantastic and the sides were legit. Get the spicy slaw, it was awesome. Will definitely come back here. Now they just need to sell their hats and I would be happy.

My family tried this place while staying at Shenandoah Crossing. Nice and close to the resort. Food was excellent. We got the pulled pork and sausage. The pumpkin muffins and cornbread were great! Takeout only due to COVID but they were definitely still busy.

The pork BBQ and sliced brisket was great stuff. The 5 sauces on the table were good but I found myself searching unsuccessfully for a traditional eastern NC style vinegar sauce with red pepper, and a traditional Texas brisket sauce (thin, spicy, vinegary). Keep up the good work! I'll be back.

We went at 2pm on Saturday. The line was to the door! We got the ribs-ok; the chopped brisket-dry-and pulled chicken-very good. The mac and cheese, cornbread, pumpkin muffin were very good. The cole slaw was ok. I would eat there again if I was in the area.

Simply put, really great barbecue!! This place has done really well for itself and for good reason, their food is absolutely delicious. The sauces are amazing- doesn t matter which one, they are all good (but Craig s Carolina and Colonel Bacon are the best). My only wish was that they had more veggie options for my friends and family, the tofu barbecue is just meh.
Good thing I m not a vegetarian though cause that pulled pork

This was some tasty BBQ. The pulled pork was especially good, and the brisket and ribs were delicious as well. Had mac and cheese and house made pickles as my sides. The mac was above average, and the pickles were great. There was a huge line on Saturday night, but it moves pretty quickly and there were plenty of tables open inside. The also have outdoor seating on a covered deck. I'll definitely go back next time I'm out that way.

Great great great bbq my family and I tried the brisket, chicken, and pork. All was great. My 5 year old loves the corn dogs and mac and cheese. Collard greens are amazing. Fast service. You walk in get in line and place order and they will bring to the table if it is not ready right then. Will definitely drive a hour again to eat here.

I was visiting Charlottesville on business, and one of our local contacts directed us to BBQ Exchange, which is a really hidden gem. The chopped brisket was outstanding, the sides were amazing, and the key lime cupcake I had for dessert was out of this world. I'm looking forwards to my next trip to the area so that I can revisit Barbeque Exchange!

1st timer, past this place quite a bit finally got in on wimm and man did I enjoy it, not big fan of brisket but wow! Nicely smoked ribs, sauces were great. Cornbread was like a pound cake( yum), I was contemplating on what beer to pair such good food too. BTW, the side of greens and tater salad was as good!!!

Ribs fantastic, lots of smoke flavor, rest not so much. LOTS of fat in brisket and pulled pork, with no smoke flavor. Pulled chicken ok, nothing special. Corn bread must be kept in fridge because it was COLD, and dense. Thought there might be actual corn inside, but no. Cole slaw and tater salad good. Beans very so-so, like a cheap quality out of a can.

Best BBQ in the area. We drive 30+ mins to eat here. Everything is so delicious! I deducted a star because they've messed up our take out order on at least 2 occasions I can remember. It's worth it to check your order before driving away. Outside of that, we love the place.

This is awesome BBQ! I had a barbecue platter with chopped brisket, pulled pork, cornbread, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese. And a dulce de Leche cupcake. I am not really a BBQ person but I enjoyed every drop of meal. Everything was flavored well. The staff was friendly. I will definitely go back and recommend to anyone.

This is one of my favorite stops in the area. They have a variety of BBQ sauces. Their corn bread is sweet or if you don't like that, you can get a roll or pumpkin muffin. Beware, the green beans have tomatoes in them. (That's because I prefer my beans cooked with old ham.) Anyway, I recommend enjoying a meal here.

I would say this is the best BBQ in the Charlottesville area. The pulled pork is by far the best--my favorite thing on the menu. The side dishes are amazing as well. Especially the pepper cabbage, spicy slaw, the macaroni salad and the variety of pickles. The sauces are decent. Besides the Carolina vinegar, the Colonel Bacon is my favorite. The ribs are different because of the sauce that's on them, but they're still pretty good. I wasn't a huge fan of the brisket, compared to some of the other places in the area. I'll certainly keep going back. Worth the trip out to Gordonsville.

Made a special trip just to try the place. The bbq was wonderful and staff super friendly. The country music playing gave it a nice feel to it.

The pork BBQ was great; not too dry and not too wet. When combined with Colonel Bacon sauce, it was just fantastic. The brisket was good also...and that gave me a chance to try all the sauces. None were bad-although I wouldn't have hogfire too much because it's too hot for me; nevertheless, it was good.

We tried the carrot cake cupcake, the red velvet and banana pudding for desert. All were worth their prices.

Seems like when a person reads reviews for BBQ places, often the first thing said is, "Best Around". Well, you won't read those words on this review - even though they're as true as Jesus - because what does "around" mean? Best in town? Gordonsville has a population of about 1600. Of course it's the best in town. Best in the county? The state? Ever? So arbitrary. I want people to actually read what I have to say so I'm not going into all that. What they got going on at this joint is pure MAGIC. Every single thing on the menu, right down to the hushpuppies (ohhhhh, the hushpuppies) has been perfectly engineered by someone who was not only trained to create amazing meals (read Chef), but someone with years of experience doing it and perfecting it along the way. I'm not talking about the type of perfecting Uncle Al practices by not burning his eyebrows off (50% of the time), lighting his gas grill. I'm talking real experimenting and tweaking by someone who knows what he's doing. If you're not one who appreciates the fine aspects of flavor matching and food pairing, I challenge you to eat the BellyQ sandwich down to its middle and then try to explain all it has going on. It's food perfection on a level I'd never be able to approach. Specialty items appear occasionally but the meat of the menu (ha ha) is just good old pork products done amazingly. You can't go wrong with any of it so come back often and try it all. My fav is the BellyQ or the pulled pork sandwich (large, of course) baked beans, fries and hushpuppies, hot pickles, sweet tea and a bacon snickerdoodle or bacon carrot cake for dessert. That's right, they put bacon in their home-made desserts, too.

Awesome food! Pulled pork needs no sauce, it stands on its own merit! Pumpkin muffins are delicious. Fried green tomatoes are excellent on their own, though the sauce is good. Beans and macaroni and cheese are tasty sides. Staff is friendly and service is quick. Well worth the price for the quality of the food.
