Very helpful staff. Covid19 compliant. Superb performance!

A central theatre with history and grand productions.

The vegetarian meal at the restaurant was very tasty and a great start to s fan-tas-tic everything. The musical Auntie Merle was fun and at the same time showcasing great local talent.

I watched the show of Riyaad Moosa, really intimate stage setting and he was super funny. Before the show I was a bit nibbly and visited the restaurant with the intention of getting a quick bite but was soon met with the most tasty, authentic Indian food from Maharaj. This was the best idea after the long day I had and was perfect for the wife and I.

With my belly cravings satisfied, I moved on to watch Riyaad Moosa and I was thoroughly entertained.

I would definitely recommend this as a date night for married or unmarried couples who just want a night out to reconnect with each other. Planning my next adventure to The Baxter.

Visited the Baxter for the first time in years and it's still a favourite. Love the typical CT local refreshments for sale. Great wine on offer and always a great ambience and excitement by patrons.

The Baxter Theatre Centre is a performing arts complex in Rondebosch, a suburb of Cape Town, South Africa. The Baxter, as it is often known, is part of the University of Cape Town; it is also the second largest performing arts complex in Cape Town, after the Artscape Theatre Centre.

Delightful evening with Marc Lottering in the role of Aunty Merle. The tasty buffet dinner filled our tummies and created the right athmosphere for the very entertaining Cape musical with an excellent cast!.

Inspiring spaces for inspiring theatre, comedy, music.

The show's are amazing. Parking is a nightmare. Arrive more than an hour before the show to ensure you get parking. Snacks and drinks to purchase while you wait for the good times to start.

Saw Alan Committee show this evening. Always great options for a night of theatre.

Baxter Theatre fantastic place to go to for a show But restaurant a reel let down staff is bad service even worse on a scale of 0-10 0 would be to high for the place i would never go there again

As part of UCT, it always seems to have great events and shows. The venue itself is also very good.

The show "Aunty Merle" was wonderful and I love the Baxter Theatre.

Amazing as usual. The theatre which I went to for the Cape Town comedy show was beautifully lit and intimate and the entertainment was great too. If you haven't checked him out already Simmi Areff is must see performance. The coffee is great too.

Cape Town Funny Festival was awesome! Laughed so much my chest hurts.

Comfortable theatre. Restaurant serves only vegetarian lunch, one type of dish everyday, but at affordable prices. Students and university staff get a discount.

I've always loved this place since I was really young. Top quality shows, friendly and professional staff and the Vegetarian Restaurant has extraordinary food.
