Fabulous show of Marc Lottering...The negative part was that we were stuck in the lift for 45minutes, before the show. Terrible experience, with cold, unsympathetic attitude from operators...Please sort this out

I frequent The Baxter Theatre often and enjoy the variety of shows that take place.

Splendid place to go to for music, drama and vegetarian meals. I can highly recommend this venue for all of the above.

A very lovely place and spacious too, from the gardens to the hall & main auditorium. I also think the security guards are very friendly and helpful.

I have been going to the Baxter Theatre Centre for five years now, since I moved here from Pretoria. I liked the place due to the entertainment, restaurant and my husband and I celebrated the new year there after we watched the singing show or a stand up comedy. It is a safe place to visit.

Always a great venue to visit. The bar upstairs is quite limited, the main one is much more accommodating, although service is slow. Visited on parents' night at the university, so parking was a challenge. The show itself, however was excellent and the venue the perfect setting for an intimate theater experience.

Watched Danger in the Dark...amazing experience with an amazing cast. Baxter stunning as always.

Good entertainment but purchasing food and drink can be very expensive

Fantastic theatre complex. Saw Alan Committee - very good. Must see him at Maynardville.

Smoking must be stopped/banned outside the restaurant as the smoke blows into the venue through the open door. In any event, it is illegal to smoke within 10 meters of a doorway - spoils the delicious food!

Very nice show. Should orchestrate breaks between the different venues for interval. Toilets very crowded

Quite a cool building. Went there for my brother's graduation so not much experience besides waiting around to go into the room that they were having the ceremony in... also couldn't find the toilets haha.

Enjoyable show. Great performances by the cast of Aunty Merle:It's a girl. Get there early because finding parking is a nightmare. Coffee at the bar is ghastly.

Great design. Generally well kept. Services are good but typically limited as per Cape Town half baked service. Depends what matters to you. Some great performers! Keep it up

If you dont like the production you came to see here... you will definitely love the architecture

Was my first time at the Baxter Theatre to watch a show of Riaad Moosa. The theatre has a number of stairs but not to steep. It had a place for a quick snack before the show however the bar was closed.

Always worth the visit - great theatre productions, fabulous Indian vegetarian restaurant serving inexspensive food, and a bar all within architecture celebrating the spectacular 70's.

Marc Lottering keeps me coming back. Beautiful theater rooms too.

Fantastic show hosted in a stunning venue.
Lost a star because of the speed of the service at the bar, wasn't good at all.

Excellent experience all round with exception to the parking! I believe it can be better managed! But other than that always great!

My partner took me here for my birthday recently and the service never disappoints.

Great shows, great wine selection and if course the shows there never fail to leave a spark in your heart.

Great place for theatre, whether it be for community theatre, kids theatre, opera, recitals, professional productions, stand up comedy. I love this place.

it was absolutely amazing, the interior is beautiful & the whole production as a whole is a masterpiece....i enjoyed myelf & i'd recommend you go too, it's a once in a lifetime experience...well obviously not if you live in Cape Town

Show was great, but theater needs a bit of sprucing up. Also they need better vending options.

Definitely a 5 starTheatre, with an even better 5 star performance by Mark Lottering in Aunty Merle. Before the show, we sat down for a meal at the famous Maharajah, with their wonderful vegetarian dishes. Food was really good & tasty .the host was incredibly friendly, so too the staff. Will indeed be back for more.

Any show at the Baxter is good quality. It's an old favourite.

Always a great spot for a cultural night out. Baxter Theatre offers a great selection of quality performances in a range of genres, topics and arts. A nice bar so it's worthwhile arriving early to get a glass of wine amd chat before the show.

The Flipside venue is filled to the brim with chairs. Very uncomfortable. Very hot.

Went to the Nik Rabinowitz comedy show. It was hilarious!!
All the steps at the theatre complex are terrible

One of the best Theatres in Cape Town. They consistently provide stunning shows. Good place to take the kids to introduce something that is part of our culture and history. They provide entertainment for young and old.
As a foreigner seeking good entertainment and value for money, this would be the place to visit. Lifts, wheelchair access, bar facilities, a restaurant for the really hungry and clean bath

I usually see comedy shows at the Baxter. Its a venue that continues to "weather" well. Old school scene! Recommended.
