Beutiful theater set against the mountain in green surroundings. Wonderful acoustics and professional staff. This wonderful establishment was left to the community of Cape Town to enjoy the arts

Went to the Baxter restaurant for the buffet lunch R65pp. It is quite a big plate of food, 3 different curries (all vegetarian) with rice and a samosa, along with pie as well. Very very tasty and great value for money.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! I watched a Marc Lottering show there and the show was great! One minute I was laughing and the next I wanted to shed a few tears. The theatre itself is awesome. It's not too crowded and it's not too stuffy. It's a great place to be. The seating is great too. Wherever you sit you still have a great view and you can hear everything clearly. The lighting is just right and everything is perfect!

Hi i had a wonderful morning of entertainment at the Baxter with my daughter but too our dismay when we got to my daughters car this was a parking ticket on her car and many others and we have been parking in this area many times last year with other threatre patrons so wonder why do we suddenly get parking tickets and where are we suppose to park in future a very bad ending to a pleasant morning

Seats are not that comfortable.. There is no break between the shows and the lift does not often work to the 2nd floor so we had to come down back to ground and inform reception. If you bound this could be a problem. Atleast this time around we found disabled parking bay. The Riyaad Moosa Show was enjoyable..

What a special haven to celebrate and honour music, arts and culture. My favourite auditorium is the round concert hall with the most magnificent reverberations engulfing your body. A marvellous platform for artists to flourish and for the public to learn more about different interpretations of life. The Baxter is nestled in lush, green surrounds and is adjacent to the SA College of Music. The ambience is one of growth and health.

The theatre is beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the orange dome-shaped things (please forgive my ignorance of what they're actually called) on the ceiling as you enter that magnify your voice.
