All visitors should visit the Allied forces on the Missouri ship to accept the Japanese Empire surrender memorial deck. Recalling the trauma of these history, I hope that the military-state ideology will become a historical ashes, and war will no longer be.

A historical naval ship that has been decommissioned. It has been put to action as late as dessert storm. It is a marvel of naval strength of united states with its proud 16 inch guns. It has been placed at the current position to 'stand guard' over USS Arizona.

We had an amazing, informative, and engaging tour guide! Wonderful for kama'aina and tourists alike. So much to learn. In fact, everyone who helped us who worked there was Aloha, and seemed to really enjoy being there, by choice. :-)

Eye opening view of the battleship experience. Very informative and respectful displays. Nice ceremonial touch being "bow to bow" with the USS Arizona, as the start and the end of America's involvement in WWII.

An outstanding way to start or finish your Pearl Harbor visit. It really bookends WWII - Pearl Harbor was the beginning (for the US) and the war ended with the signing of the surrender on the deck of the Missouri. You also get to wander through much of the below deck (I think just 1 deck/floor) and get a sense of how people lived on what s effectively a city in middle of the ocean.

Our actual tour guide took us around the top deck and explained various points of interest on the ship. I wish the tour guide was able to take us guided into more of the ship, but rules are rules.

See where WW2 ended. A very informative (but short) guided tour of the top deck helps show a few key places. However, it is the lower decks which are full of very interesting information. And the lower decks have air conditioning!

As always with these places, you get out more if you spend some time reading the displays, looking at the exhibits, etc. But invest a little and you will gain a lot.

The Mighty Mo is a must see when in Oahu and Pearl Harbor. Even if you are not a history lover you need to see this. Remember don't bring your purse or backpack as you will have to leave it behind. We had this visit included in our Pearl Harbor pass ticket and therefore were able to go here at any time during our day visit. We opted to attend one of the many free tours that were offered. It's funny how much I already knew about the history of the battle ship but also surprised of how much I still learned. Worth a visit.

Very interesting and detailed filled tour of the deck of the Mighty Mo. Though, extra to tour the inside Aka below deck. We'll worth the money to enter to see the living conditions within the ship.

Fantastic! There is so much to see here. The tour of the ship is given by knowledgeable and friendly guides who can answer any questions you might have. After that, there is a fascinating tour through the ship's interior that highlights its life from WW2 to The Gulf. All of this is just one of the museums to visit at Pearl Harbor complex. You can easily spend a very comlete day here.

This ship has been maintained very well with all of the visitor traffic it has seen. The wood deck is still in great shape, the brass polished, and portholes cleaned. To see the entire ship will take quite a bit of time so plan accordingly and bring some comfortable shoes.

Great Site to visit for history of World War II. Tour guides were friendly and open to questions. Many of the areas were restricted so just be aware. But overall good presentation and layout and many photogenic areas. Highly recommend if want to see and review a important aspect of Naval History.

It is a place where you can not come without a tour.

The size of class is very powerful.
There are several kinds of tours, and this tour was put in the central command center, and I felt a sense of tension with light blue lights after darkening, such as the ICBM missile button, the president's directly linked red phone seen in movies It was.

This ship was not hit by the Pearl Harbor attack, but I was impressed even by the episode that received the special warfare of the warfare mediation and the zero warfare.

Exhibits were all nicely restored for viewing, nice large ship to view, from cartography to machine guns. If you are visiting Oahu this is definitely a required stop, lots of history on one ship.

About Battleship Missouri Memorial

The Battleship Missouri Memorial is a historical landmark that rests in the heart of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. It is a popular tourist destination that offers activities and tours to visitors from across the world. The memorial is dedicated to preserving the legacy of one of America's most iconic battleships, the USS Missouri.

The USS Missouri was commissioned in 1944 and played a significant role in World War II, serving as the site where Japan officially surrendered to Allied forces on September 2nd, 1945. The ship also served during the Korean War and Operation Desert Storm before being decommissioned in 1992.

Today, visitors can explore this historic vessel through guided tours or self-guided audio tours. The Battleship Missouri Memorial offers several tour options including a basic tour which covers all nine decks of the ship and highlights its history and significance. Visitors can also opt for an extended tour which includes access to areas not typically open to the public such as officer quarters and engine rooms.

In addition to touring the ship itself, visitors can also explore exhibits located throughout the memorial grounds which showcase artifacts from World War II including uniforms, weapons, photographs, and personal items belonging to crew members who served aboard USS Missouri.

For those interested in experiencing what life was like aboard this legendary battleship firsthand, overnight encampments are available for groups ranging from youth organizations to corporate team-building events. Participants sleep on board in bunks similar to those used by sailors during WWII while participating in educational programs designed around naval history.

The Battleship Missouri Memorial also hosts several special events throughout the year including ceremonies commemorating important dates such as Pearl Harbor Day (December 7th) or Veterans Day (November 11th). These events offer visitors an opportunity to pay their respects while learning more about America's military history.

Overall, visiting The Battleship Missouri Memorial is an unforgettable experience that provides insight into one of America's most significant military vessels while honoring those who served aboard her. With its rich history and unique offerings for tourists of all ages it has become one of Hawaii's top attractions attracting thousands each year making it a must-visit destination when traveling through Hawaii!
