If you are Japanese, you should go at least once. The U.S. military in Hawaii values the SDF (formerly the Navy) very much. Not surprisingly known.
Remember Pearl Harbor also recognizes it as a commandment for those who are careless, not as a review.
However, the description in Korea and China is terrible.

Arizona (the attack on Pearl Harbor) is the beginning of the Pacific War, and the Pacific War is over in Missouri.
You can see the beginning and the end of the war at the same time.
You will have an opportunity to know that the end of the Pacific War overseas will be September 2nd, not August 15th.
Also, there are traces of Kamikaze special, and you can feel the horror and misery of the war.
In addition, I was able to feel the warmth of the captain as a human being by responding to the crew who died as a special attack, and I was able to see the spot with gratitude as a Japanese.

A very well perserved ship! Upon setting foot it is an incredible experience on how large this ship is. Depending on wind conditions you can go right up, unfortunately for us we couldnt. But we got to see the place where ww2 was declared over and everything in the heart of the ship!

If you've ever wanted to learn more about life on a military shop, this is the place for you! The history of the Missouri is amazing. The opportunity to go through the ship and experience a very small piece of what it is like to live here is awesome. God bless the military!

I participated in a tour around various parts of Pearl Harbor, but if you make a reservation in advance, you can also check the engine room and the command room. Children were also curious because the computer for Tomahawk launch could also see the real thing. Because I heard the explanation from the American who fought war with Japan, I felt it was thought of war from both sides. It is said that the top of this battleship became a sign of the surrender sign of Japan during the Pacific War. There are real things in Japanese movies and American movies, but you can learn the sad history of war.

The memorial itself was closed when we went. We did not get to walk on it. Instead we toured around it via boat. Still a good experience. Somber. Really makes you think about those who sacrificed their lives for our country.

Overall experience was enjoyable, tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Walking around underneath the deck and seeing crew quarters was great and gives a whole new perspective on our Navy personnel. Really would have liked to go up top and see the view from the bridge. Only complaint was the long walk in from the parking lot since our shuttle driver was not allowed to drop us at the entrance gate.

The Battleship is a phenomenal experience for any history and military enthusiasts. Although COVID-19 has got the tours limited, there is still a story to be told and honor and respect to be paid to those that served during that time. Will definitely go back.

Love the history of this place. Ship itself is great to see. But, I find visiting the place where the Japanese surrendered to be particularly emotional since my grandfather spent the war as a Battaan death March prisoner. There were several very thin men, post liberation, present at this event.

The Missouri is well preserved and a really interesting Battleship. I've been on the Enterprise and the Yorktown and this ship is unique in it's own way. The museum staff members are very friendly and the guided tours are great. This ship is a museum not only for the US visitors but also for the Japenese tourusts. There are tours for Japanese speakers so that they can appreciate our perspective during WW2.

What an amazing chance to explore the famous WWII era battleship where the war ended. It was especially poignant to come full circle after visiting the Arizona, where the war began for the U.S. The ship still had the signs and names from the last time it was in active service, which is really neat. If you've ever been curious as to what life is like for those serving in the Navy, this is a must see.

Absolutely incredible, awe inspiring, and harrowing experience. Our tour guide was phenomenal, extremely detailed and engaged, and the ship itself was obviously well cared for. The love and dedication that goes into this Memorial is apparent in every nook and cranny, and I'm very impressed with the respect, knowledge, and history on display.

About Battleship Missouri Memorial

The Battleship Missouri Memorial is a historical landmark that rests in the heart of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. It is a popular tourist destination that offers activities and tours to visitors from across the world. The memorial is dedicated to preserving the legacy of one of America's most iconic battleships, the USS Missouri.

The USS Missouri was commissioned in 1944 and played a significant role in World War II, serving as the site where Japan officially surrendered to Allied forces on September 2nd, 1945. The ship also served during the Korean War and Operation Desert Storm before being decommissioned in 1992.

Today, visitors can explore this historic vessel through guided tours or self-guided audio tours. The Battleship Missouri Memorial offers several tour options including a basic tour which covers all nine decks of the ship and highlights its history and significance. Visitors can also opt for an extended tour which includes access to areas not typically open to the public such as officer quarters and engine rooms.

In addition to touring the ship itself, visitors can also explore exhibits located throughout the memorial grounds which showcase artifacts from World War II including uniforms, weapons, photographs, and personal items belonging to crew members who served aboard USS Missouri.

For those interested in experiencing what life was like aboard this legendary battleship firsthand, overnight encampments are available for groups ranging from youth organizations to corporate team-building events. Participants sleep on board in bunks similar to those used by sailors during WWII while participating in educational programs designed around naval history.

The Battleship Missouri Memorial also hosts several special events throughout the year including ceremonies commemorating important dates such as Pearl Harbor Day (December 7th) or Veterans Day (November 11th). These events offer visitors an opportunity to pay their respects while learning more about America's military history.

Overall, visiting The Battleship Missouri Memorial is an unforgettable experience that provides insight into one of America's most significant military vessels while honoring those who served aboard her. With its rich history and unique offerings for tourists of all ages it has become one of Hawaii's top attractions attracting thousands each year making it a must-visit destination when traveling through Hawaii!
