Best of the displayed ships. Must take the hearing tour and the narrated tour. Historians do it justice. One small observation that we need to correct: we need to stop judgment when telling a story. .. The Canadian who signed was not confused. On Canadian forms, the signatures go under the lines.

This battleship is huge and very interesting to see. Plenty of pictures to take, both on the inside and outside. The tour guide(s) are very friendly and informative and they take about 35-40 minutes to go over the majority of the boat. Plenty of snack shops, food shops, souvenir shops to use. Lots of parking space too.

It is Missouri.

It is Missouri.
It is a battleship where Segard rampaged in the movie (although it seems that the actual shooting was another ship).
It is the greatest value of this facility that you can actually feel the size of a real battleship.
Although it is a complex feeling place where signing of surrender was done in Japanese.
I was taught variously by the local guide, but the impression that I remained the first impression the story that Japanese special machine crashed. Although the attack itself does not cause big damage, although the pilot died, it seems that the recovered body was buried by the captain of the time at the judgment of the captain.
You can catch a glimpse of the human nature of captain Kyarahan in the episode that the enemy's country, who also attacked the ship, paid homage to him.

Cool experience. Gotta check out the teak wood deck, it's a navy thing...it's not a safety thing for the tourists. Below deck is a mix of historical displays and circa 1980s navy equipment. I liked the high voltage ice cream maker...wonder if it's mil-spec.

The only problem I had was I didn't leave myself enough time to fully explore the ship. We were there for two hours, and rushed through the below decks to catch another local attraction. I feel I could have spent another 2 hours here easily. Fantastic tour and sites. Can't wait to come back in the future.

We did the 4th of July picnic at the pier and it was awesome! Loved that we were able to get on the ship while we waited for the fireworks. It was BYOB and BYOF but they also had a vendor with multiple food and drinks options. Will definitely do it again another year. Very family oriented and recommend it!

You can get a free Korean guide. So I came to know the historical meaning. This battleship played a very big role in our history. Do not just go to the place to take photos and be sure to get the guide. The guide of the Korean people .. maybe the Japanese people will not come here. It's a person who has a heart to reflect on past history.

It was worth seeing the ship for it historic role. Seeing it in person really puts into perspective how much steel and manpower went into every single ship. It's a floating city, with guns the size of houses.

A must visit. The ship itself is not handicap friendly, but that is because it is kept in it's original state. There is handicap access to most of the main deck. It's still worth seeing if you're handicapped.

Leave your purse at the hotel. You cannot bring it on to the museum campus, and shouldn't leave it in your car (Hawaii is famous for vehicle break-ins). Throw your credit card and ID in your pocket, phone case, or wallet. No camera bag allowed either, just carry your camera, or bring a neck strap. No selfie stick or umbrella, either. Pearl Harbor is an active base, so security is still important. You will understand once you enter the property. The experience is profoundly moving, so bring Kleenex, you will need one... Even the tough guys. Almost everything is explained in both, Japanese AND English.

The mighty Mo....she is a real badass. This beautiful ship served her country with valor and grace. From WWII battles to the surrender of Japan that ended WWII, to her service in the first gulf war. The men and women that sailed on her were the best that the Navy had to offer. This ship is living and breathing history. All Americans should pay respects to a ship that is directly responsible for our freedom.

Went there with my dad as a gift for his birthday. We didn't get there in time to see everything below deck. They close at 4:00 pm. I would go there 1st if time before USS Arizona tour. Very interesting. Wish we could have stayed longer.

I was expecting a tour of a battleship and it was so much more! Essentially the ship is one giant museum covering the history of the ship from its service in WWII, including the surrender of the Japanese to the United States which happened on board, through the 1980s with deep detail on ship operations, life on board as a crewman, and the capabilities of the ship itself.

A lot to see and learn. Connects our military history from Pearl Harbor to the surrender of the Japanese. You can go throughout the ship with out without a guide. Excellent experience IMO.

About Battleship Missouri Memorial

The Battleship Missouri Memorial is a historical landmark that rests in the heart of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. It is a popular tourist destination that offers activities and tours to visitors from across the world. The memorial is dedicated to preserving the legacy of one of America's most iconic battleships, the USS Missouri.

The USS Missouri was commissioned in 1944 and played a significant role in World War II, serving as the site where Japan officially surrendered to Allied forces on September 2nd, 1945. The ship also served during the Korean War and Operation Desert Storm before being decommissioned in 1992.

Today, visitors can explore this historic vessel through guided tours or self-guided audio tours. The Battleship Missouri Memorial offers several tour options including a basic tour which covers all nine decks of the ship and highlights its history and significance. Visitors can also opt for an extended tour which includes access to areas not typically open to the public such as officer quarters and engine rooms.

In addition to touring the ship itself, visitors can also explore exhibits located throughout the memorial grounds which showcase artifacts from World War II including uniforms, weapons, photographs, and personal items belonging to crew members who served aboard USS Missouri.

For those interested in experiencing what life was like aboard this legendary battleship firsthand, overnight encampments are available for groups ranging from youth organizations to corporate team-building events. Participants sleep on board in bunks similar to those used by sailors during WWII while participating in educational programs designed around naval history.

The Battleship Missouri Memorial also hosts several special events throughout the year including ceremonies commemorating important dates such as Pearl Harbor Day (December 7th) or Veterans Day (November 11th). These events offer visitors an opportunity to pay their respects while learning more about America's military history.

Overall, visiting The Battleship Missouri Memorial is an unforgettable experience that provides insight into one of America's most significant military vessels while honoring those who served aboard her. With its rich history and unique offerings for tourists of all ages it has become one of Hawaii's top attractions attracting thousands each year making it a must-visit destination when traveling through Hawaii!
