A must see on the island of Oahu. This ship fought for our nation in WWII, Korea, and Desert Storm. The ship is well preserved and they do an excellent job telling its story. Lots of great opportunities in the next couple of years to experience 75th anniversaries!!
Breaks ur heart to see all the struggles war placed on the world
You could add a question and answer page on your site. The FAQ page doesn't do the job.
An extremely important floating monument of WWII history. An absolute must-see attraction in Hawaii!!!
Love seeing such a giant from a past era. I know that battleships are obsolete now but they are still amazing.
A 900 'long warship ?? AWSOME !! In addition, it is the very place where the Japanese signed their surrender to officially end the Second World War! Not to be missed with your visit to Pearl Harbor. We spent 3 hours there just for the USS Missouri.
one of the most important symbols of 20th century american history.
History of atrocity can t be re-written. By standing in front of the this historical location, marks the end of WWII and millions of lives lost, we can help to ensure such war does not happen again, ever.
Highly recommended.
This is USS Missouri. The memorial is 300m away for USS Arizona!
Definitely a great site to see whether you are just visiting or if you've lived here your whole life. The only difficult part is that it's located on the Naval base so military access is recommended unless you book a tour. Another way to get on base is to apply for a visitor pass.
It does get quite hot so they do sell snacks and drinks at the location, including Dip-n-Dots icecream.
Being of Japanese decent and having both parents effected by the war dad was interned and mom somehow surviving the bombing of Hiroshima it was awesome to go to the spot where the war ended.
Nothing to say, a must-visit place. What is of great significance to China is that Japan signed a surrender on the zero-deck of Missouri. I can still remember the pictures I saw before General MacArthur sat at the signing table, the Japanese representative lined up opposite him, and all standing around were star generals. Then there were dense sailors, either sitting or standing, on the fort, on the deck, in every crevice where the signing site could be seen, to witness the history. Then they all became history. Standing on the Missouri battleship and thinking about it, I watched nine 16-inch cannons. Only shock! The Chinese came very little, and it took a long time to get enough people to explain. The Japanese came one by one. He also took a picture with a US military helmet. It's also interesting to think about it. Our explanation is an old overseas Chinese, the accent seems to be from Fujian and Taiwan. The talk is very good. Like him!
Amazing to be able to get up and close with such a significant piece of history. From being on the bow to the bridge and many parts below deck was a great experience. Couldn t recommend this any higher on the must do list in Honolulu.
I was surprised to learn the history of the Missouri! There was so much more to it than I had known! A true GEM!
What an amazing experience! So much history. Thank you to the men and woman who sacrificed so much for our country. Dont miss this memorial. I will visit again on my next trip!!!
Just a wonderful experience! If you are a Veteran, be sure to stop in the Gift shop to sign your name into the book of Heros!! If you are Active Duty, walk in and say hello! You might get a surprise Everything is fairly priced but no matter who tells you that you can get in for free here....be prepared to pay! 3 employees at the Pearl Harbor said I got in for free and when we got there, only a discount. We didn't go on the Ship but got to enjoy the Grandness of the Ship and the beauty of the veiw.
It took about 1 hour and 20 minutes (about 1 hour and 10 minutes on the way back) at 42nd TheBus from Waikiki. There seemed to be no Japanese in the bus for going and returning.
The ticket for Battleship Missouri Memorial is the right-hand counter from the entrance of the tourist information center.
Get on the bus and head to the ship while listening to the instruction voice (in Japanese). After arrival, I will listen to the instructions at the entrance of the ship and finally put it in after it is taken a memorial photo.
Immediately after entering the brochure distribution according to language and the guide in Japanese will explain the ship about Japan.
Inside the ship there is a signboard of the route but it's like a maze and it's wide enough to be lost.
Buses returning from the ship will return to the tourist information center via the Pearl Harbor Air Museum.
Although it was possible to stay only for about 1 hour by another business event, it became a good memorial.
Great tour under the Mighty Mo pass. Guide is very animated and explained the history well. One of the last battleships in the world, and played a huge part for the surrender signing ceremony on board. Takes around one and a half hour to fully explore the place. There s a food truck right before you board the ship.
Lot of up and down walking, took about 2.5 hours to see it all. They have tours too much info so I explored on my own.
Yes you must see this! Very well done and maintained. The history behind all of it is so spectacular. You have to go below deck to see the kitchen, post office, etc. to get a good feel of the size of use of the ship.
This ship is huge! Our family had a great time touring the ship and exploring. There was so much history on that ship. I recommend this to every traveler.
We did have a toddler and brought a stroller with us.... This is something that I do not recommend. Anywhere other than the main deck is pretty close quarters and was difficult to maneuver.
The respectful way history of both sides of the conflict are depicted
Part of the whole Pearl Harbor experience with a lot of good history to learn about. Free guided tour available with ticket purchase, which is not cheap, but fairly priced. I think they offered some foreign language tours as well, we heard a Japanese tour guide taking people around. They recall the Pearl Harbor attack and Japanese surrender as the signing took place on the ship. An informative and interesting experience. Ticket price includes a free bus shuttle which takes about 10 minutes from the Pearl Harbor main area to the other attractions.
Awesome ship, awesome historic site. Really knowledgeable tour guides and several displays to give you a feel of what life was like on the Missouri and the historic events that took place on the ship. Seeing the Battleship Missouri was the highlight of our Pearl Harbour trip.
This is one of the Pearl in Pearl habour, must visit museum
It will be a little higher, but there are people who guide you with Nikkei. It is a lot of fun to go around with a guide! Thank you George! You were awesome!
USS Missouri, the key piece in fighting extraterrestrial invaders, in the movie Battleship: Sea Battle, Tough Ship. I love watching and reviewing the movie pearl harborque portrays everything that happened on that fateful day
The historic battleship Missouri has seen service from its launch in World War II through the Korean War, the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm. It has borne witness to the surrender of the Japanese Empire and the humbling of a despot in Iraq. In its permanent home at Pearl Harbor, it places bookends on the beginning and end of World War II in the Pacific.
Fun being able to go through the battleship. Lots of staircases that are a bit steep but still interesting to walk through.
I dreamed of being here for half my life. Very cool and paint. And the rainbow completed the picture.
Very nice ship to visit, especially if you do the 90mn engineering tour for an extra fee
Seeing the exact spot that the Japanese surrender was signed is a moving experience.
The tour would be better if more of the ship was available to view. Such as inside the tourettes, or down into the powder room. But it was still very exciting to tour the ship
Truly remarkable experience to walk the decks of the Mighty Mo. Most Americans wouldn't realize this, however the Missouri battleship closely resembles the interior of today's naval ships. Not much has changed in how the ships are layed out over the last 40+ years.
The ship is very large and you are able to explore most of the ship. The history of the ship is very interesting as well. Very good experience.
What an honor to see where the peace treaty was signed to end the war with Japan.
Beautiful and informative. We always bring visiting family and friends
Wonderful experience. The US Missouri was well set out and full of interesting areas to explore.
An amazing and moving monument. Plan to be in line and in close quarters with other visitors. Guided tours are available and recommended for those with limited mobility.
Very interesting and educational 4 younger generation.... wear good walking shoes & casual clothes... lots to see life on a massive warship,...bags, carrying items prohibited... need both hands free to move from deck.to deck...see how our service men lived & died on warships.,.
When I came to Hawaii four years ago, I had a chance to come, but at that time, it was a waste of $ 27-30.
If I hadn't come, I almost regretted it.
It is recommended to take a slow tour once you have time.
Such an amazing part of history! This ship and the stories of the men and women who have served aboard her are breathtaking. She has seen many battles and been through multiple wars and still exists today to teach the masses about the sacrifices made in the past to provide us the peace we experience in the present. You simply MUST visit her and learn her story.
Spend time and all lots of questions. Guides know a lot about world war 2.
Great history and our guide Ford was very knowledgeable and full of stories.
Must visit this place to see what America is all about
...worth checking out, as it is part of our history...
Interesting to see what it's like inside a battleship.
An Awesome Experience! Definitely recommend taking the tour!!!
Very cool, worth the extra fee to tour and really enjoy all the nooks and crannies. can easily spend a couple hours aboard.
History abounds. Highly recommend guided tour if not familiar with U.S. Navy ships.
If you're visiting Ohau, you have to do the military memorial sites.
Lots of history. The guides are extremely knowledgeable. If you are a looker and play. To see all of the ship you should plan on a few hours to do it all.
The view from the Battleship Missouri of the Arizona Memorial shows the beginning and end of the War in the Pacific. The tour through the ship is worth the time.
It is a beautiful battleship I would like to see it in person I would love it
History, study it or relive it. So much to learn here about the fantastic efforts the American people during a horrible time and the resolve to remain human against an inhumane enemy.
Heart of Missouri tour is a must!! Very detailed and exclusive access to areas only seen by serving crew untill now!
Wonderful experience. Lost wife's change purse, but had a good time
Good memories, hope we never forget that as time goes on, battle implement become outdated

The USS Missouri was commissioned in 1944 and played a significant role in World War II, serving as the site where Japan officially surrendered to Allied forces on September 2nd, 1945. The ship also served during the Korean War and Operation Desert Storm before being decommissioned in 1992.

For those interested in experiencing what life was like aboard this legendary battleship firsthand, overnight encampments are available for groups ranging from youth organizations to corporate team-building events. Participants sleep on board in bunks similar to those used by sailors during WWII while participating in educational programs designed around naval history.
