The Missouri was so much more than I had expected. We almost passed because it was at the end of a tiring day, we were hot, our feet and bodies were exhausyed after 7 days of intense island activities, myself and my10 year old grand nephew were so glad we didn't. Its a grand ship and she has an amazing history I wasn't aware of. I highly recommend taking the free 35 minute tour, the volunteers are a wealth of knowledge

Had the chance to see this beauty for a reenlistment ceremony. It provides wonderful history and chances to stand in and view what it looked like when in use. The guides are great and the gift shop it cute. Excellent place to visit for history buffs.

It was good to be able to see the considerable space inside the ship. I think that it was very good to consider the history of the war, with the exhibition of Japanese special squadron. Recommended because Japanese guide will explain easily.

Great memorial to visit. Take the guided tour, it's worth it. They provide key info of the ship as well as the historical events the ship was part of. Then rest of the tour is self guided. My kids are 6yo and 8yo and they loved it! Took the bus from the Peral Harbor visitor center and back. On the way back it stop by the aviation museum as well. We didn't do that one as the kids have seem plenty. I would say visit early so its less crowded. Wish the kids were free to enter, but I get it, someone need to pay to keep up the place. with that said, well worth the price of the tickets.

Not much to say other than that it is an absolutely incredible experience to walk aboard one of the most historic battleships in American naval history. If you're going to Pearl Harbor, do yourself a favor and check the Mighty Mo out.

You can see the original and the renovation of modernization. Artillery and Tomahawk, Harpoon. The story of the Kamikaze attack is astounding. I'm glad that I was able to hear the performance of the high school student brass band.

This was an epic tour. Walked throughout the ship on the main deck, the second deck down, the surrender deck and even up to the navigation bridge. Saw living quarters, lounge, kitchen, cafeteria, and even an ice cream and soda fountain. This is an awesome experience that everyone visting Pearl Harbor should go on. The whole family loved it. Especially since the lower deck was air conditioned.

It's a great experience to see one of the last battleships from another era. All the staff were very helpful and you can tell they really care about the boat. Hopefully more areas inside the ship open up to the tour.

For this rating I'm wavering between a 3 and 4. They're doing maintenance right now so some of its covered up and you couldn't get to one area. The boat itself is not restored to wwii time frame but from when it was removed from service. They did have some documents related to the signing of the surrender and an exhibit on wwii. It's interesting if you've never seen a battle ship before but if you have I'd probably skip it.

This is the ship that the declaration of Peace in the Pacific WW2 was signed on. In addition to that most important fact the ship displays it's more recent past and tours of duty. On board there are interesting tours by very knowledgeable guides who have either served on or are involved with the Missouri one way or another. By the way... watch out for your head.

This ship is part of the Pearl Harbor experience. You can tour most of it with guides or on your own. It is beautifully kept up and all the original equipment is there. I took a couple of tours and learned a lot of cool details about the ship. I was standing on the very spot where the peace agreement from world war II was signed.

A very informative and educational visit as you take a guided tour by a very knowledgeable guide for 35 mins and are then left to freely roam the ship and all decks with plenty of information and details throughout.

If you look at Pearl Harbor, be sure to watch the warship. Cost a few dollars more but definitely worth it. You can see a lot of the ship but especially the outdoor deck is impressive with the huge cannons

Memorial was interesting. Long bus lines and ticket lines require at least 2 hours to see the battleship. Also the food truck overcharged us for our order and didn't have a quick or easy way to credit our card or refund the overcharge. They had to call a manager which took quite a bit of unnecessary time.

So so amazing. Very huge history. Tour guide was very well versed in the history of the Missouri. We enjoyed seeing the whole battleship. Everything at Pearl Harbor is privately funded so give generously to keep this going. All the sites are steeped in history and it is very emotional to see all the loss.

Take advantage of the group guided tour! The guide was a wealth of information and a person talking to you about the history is much more fun than just reading the signs. You will want to visit the Mighty Mo to make your Pearl Harbor tour complete. Plan to spend at LEAST two hours touring the site and to reach the really good views be prepared to climb steep steps...it is a battleship!

One of the highlights of the trip and wrth every penny to go see. The mighty mo did not disappoint. They let you see the spot where world war 2 ended. There are "free" tours with entry and the individual that gave us a tour was amazingly knowledgeable. Tourists can go up into the bridge (if you want to climb the ladders/stairs) or down a deck to see some of the crew cabins etc. Great bit of history for the last battleship to serve the fleet

About Battleship Missouri Memorial

The Battleship Missouri Memorial is a historical landmark that rests in the heart of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. It is a popular tourist destination that offers activities and tours to visitors from across the world. The memorial is dedicated to preserving the legacy of one of America's most iconic battleships, the USS Missouri.

The USS Missouri was commissioned in 1944 and played a significant role in World War II, serving as the site where Japan officially surrendered to Allied forces on September 2nd, 1945. The ship also served during the Korean War and Operation Desert Storm before being decommissioned in 1992.

Today, visitors can explore this historic vessel through guided tours or self-guided audio tours. The Battleship Missouri Memorial offers several tour options including a basic tour which covers all nine decks of the ship and highlights its history and significance. Visitors can also opt for an extended tour which includes access to areas not typically open to the public such as officer quarters and engine rooms.

In addition to touring the ship itself, visitors can also explore exhibits located throughout the memorial grounds which showcase artifacts from World War II including uniforms, weapons, photographs, and personal items belonging to crew members who served aboard USS Missouri.

For those interested in experiencing what life was like aboard this legendary battleship firsthand, overnight encampments are available for groups ranging from youth organizations to corporate team-building events. Participants sleep on board in bunks similar to those used by sailors during WWII while participating in educational programs designed around naval history.

The Battleship Missouri Memorial also hosts several special events throughout the year including ceremonies commemorating important dates such as Pearl Harbor Day (December 7th) or Veterans Day (November 11th). These events offer visitors an opportunity to pay their respects while learning more about America's military history.

Overall, visiting The Battleship Missouri Memorial is an unforgettable experience that provides insight into one of America's most significant military vessels while honoring those who served aboard her. With its rich history and unique offerings for tourists of all ages it has become one of Hawaii's top attractions attracting thousands each year making it a must-visit destination when traveling through Hawaii!
