Must see when you go to Pearl Harbor. Make Reservations for the USS Arizona and Missouri well in advance of your visit if possible. Otherwise you need to get to the ticket office early (0630) for an early boat out to the USS Arizona Memorial. FYI, when we visited in early May 2018 you could not get on the Memorial due to the dock being damaged so all you get is a "drive by" of it. Call first!!!!
Been to Hawaii 4 times while serving in the Navy and everytime we pulled into Pearl Harbor I always had to snap some pics of this Historical Naval Vessel. This is what pure original old school Navy was all about... Battleships. I highly recommend to visit and take a look at American history for yourself.
Really good tour guide. Had to wait 45 minutes for the bus in the heat to get back.
The history of Pearl Harbor is beautifully showcased here.
It was a nice tour and I gained some knowledge about our history!
The Battleship Missouri is HUGE! It's awesome to see the power of all the great battleship that the Navy has. The ship was very educational and it was neat to see the place where WWII ended. The staff was very kind to us on our visit considering we got there nearly before closing time. It was cool to take a step back and time and be able to appreciate the bravery, strength, and dedication that our Navy and other military members! Thank you all for your hard work and service, because of you all, we have the privileges we have today!
Good tour, wish we were dressed for and took the extended tour
History nerd - loved seeing this and the stuff inside. You can spend hours on this boat, so be prepared. I needed more caffeine before hitting this boat as I was crashing a bit. Still worth it...
Have a free tour to attend! The introduction time is not long but still helpful, know a lot about what happened on this battleship!
Amazing museum. Our tour guide Jayvon did an amazing job of explaining the history some of which will give you chills.
Excellent tour with lots of informative facts. A must see attraction well worth the price.
Great piece of US history. The audio tour brings the ships history to life, and really gives an amazing glimpse at all the different moments in history that the USS Missouri played a significant role.
You can learn the history and freely explore the magnificent ships.
As of June 2017, part of the building is under renovation and it is a pity that it was covered with cloth.
Stopped an alien invasion. What more needs to be said?
My served on the Mighty Mo during Persian Gulf! So excited to tour it!
A must do when visiting Honolulu . It takes a full day. Part of our worlds history. Very powerful and moving place. Wheelchair friendly for the majority
This is a piece of history. It is amazing to be on this ship and think of the men and women that served that day.
This was amazing! This battleship is not retired, just decommissioned, so you can have a feel of how a battleship looked and felt when it was in service. The tour was awesome, many of the facts breathtaking (each of the six main guns on this ship weighs as much as a space shuttle.).
Because it is a review of Miota & Movie Fan full throttle, a slightly unfaithful expression may be mixed.
Although I went with the influence of the movie battle ship, I did not expect to be able to see the making image in the real ship, I strongly recommend that you go from seeing the movie in that sense, There are too many commemorative photo points because it is free shooting, as you can see, it may be quite good to have "taken over (over there) (scene reproduction etc.)"!
Of course it is amazing as a historical museum, and there are also replicas of signed documents, maps of Missouri commissioned to retirement, maps etc, and it is enough for watching.
Also, you should go to the adventurer tour of the reservation which is required 48 hours before the entrance fee free tour. Even if you do not rely on a tour company, you can correspond to the Japanese display website by e-mail response in Japanese and go from Waikiki by bus one hour and a half (Arizona memorial okay at boarding and If you ask it, it will be okay), if you are worried or regret your time, there is a taxi.
The climb is exhausting but it is worth the effort the view is beautiful
Amazing tour! So cool to learn about the ship, its history, and the war.
Very interessting to see this awesome ship with its huge weapons so close.
Might seem a little expensive, but we'll worth the experience.
We visited 7th December ! Respect and appreciation for the fallen heroes!
This was a fantastic tour especially the boiler room and engine room tour. A big shout out to pur tour guide Ford who did a great job.
Be sure to do the "Heart of the Missouri" tour! That gives another great insight into the ship!
See the historic ship where the Japanese Instrument of Surrender was signed. Putting an end to a terrible era in history.
She now rests peacefully in Pearl Harbor as a monument to Freedom. So also serves as a constant reminder of bravery and heroism that so many fought for and the terrible hardships they endured for our sakes.
Let us never forget our past so that we may aways continue to have a future.
At first, I just went to see without much thought, but after hearing the explanation of jun, a friendly Korean guide, tears fell. It is a precious time to hear stories about Lake Missouri, which shared the history of Korea, including World War II and the Korean War. exactly! Please visit
Awesome experience. I've been here a couple times years ago and just brought my family. My three young boys loved checking out the ship, inside and out.
Great experience, you get to explore the whole ship.
Great and educational tour. You get the walk about the ship, see the officer cabin rooms, and more. There is a small concession stand right before you get on the ship with smacks and bottle of water (very pricey), but there is a free water bottle refill station on the ship. Just the ship took about a hour and cost about $30 per adult, so a little pricey in terms of education/musuems. Would be more worth it if was less expensive.
The best way to pay homage to our soldiers who laid their lives for our great Nation and to protect us. When you go there you you feel proud of them, your head is automatically bowed in respect.
Great history preserved! Employees are friendly and helpful!
An amazing experience being able to tour the Mighty Mo.
good place ..avoid guided tour....explore on your own
Very hot on deck so bring a water bottle. It gets crowded so come in the early morning. The Battleship was great and ALL the tour guides seemed equally informative and captivating.
Great view knowledgeable staff and awesome picture opportunities.
Tske the camera. Such a fun fun peice of history to see. You can take the roughly 30 minute guided tour which I recommend. Then go off on your own and walk the deck and the inside of the ship. Alot to see so plan a good half day to say the least. Take water with you. Also if you wear a hat make sure its on tight. Lots of wind.
The guided tour that presents the history of this ship is very interesting. Inside you realize how mammoth it is.
Everyone should be made to visit this place is modern history at its finest
The "Heart of the Missouri" Tour is a must for all that are into ships, military, history or mechanical stuff in general. The general tour is great for everybody else ;) On the "Heart of the Missouri Tour" you get a behind the scenes look and great explanation about the various combat and engineering spaces. The tour takes about 90 minutes and after that you can either join the general tour or explore the rest of the ship on your own. There is great detail in the outfit and displays on board of the ship, as if it was ready to go for another mission. Lots of original stuff to see and get close to. I highly recommend doing either of the tours when at Pearl Harbor.
My second time on the Mighty Mo after almost 25 years.
A "must" if you are in Pearl Harbor
I spent a significant amount of time as I was able to go up to the historic battleships such as the end of World War II and the Korean War and the Gulf War.
When on Oahu You have to visit the battleship Missouri. So much history just a special place
A place full of history without a doubt you have to go 100% recommended
Fantastic opportunity to experience an amazing part of history. We only took the generic DIY tour and still spent a good hour walking through the shop. Well worth the ticket price.
Part of the Pearl Harbor experience, well worth a visit.
Very moving to be on a piece of such history. It is really and interactive museum. Worth it for sure!
A vital piece of American history
Do not pass up the opportunity.
Must see for all interested in military history. Unfortunately, it is pricey
A must see. So grateful for those who have given so much to preserve our freedom!
