Great to be able to tour so much at your own pace. Great way to experience and remember history
A must to go to when you're in Hawaii to pay respect. Staff are all volunteers giving the tours and are very knowledgeable
A beautiful ship and a piece of history. It was on its board in the Tokyo Bay that Japan's surrender during World War II was signed. It is worth setting aside a few hours of time to visit it. The ship is approached by a bus that takes a circular route, which takes up to half an hour. The ship itself is amazing, the inside is beautifully kept and the first computers are also impressive.
In this warship, which participated in the Gulf War, the peace treaty of World War II was signed. One last
You should take a picture of the battleship s main gun, the first bridge. Don't forget to take a picture from the bow after you get off the boat.
Classic piece of American History. So glad I got to stand on the decks of this historic battleship.
Would have been better of you could have seen more of the ship. Has a great view of the Arizona Memorial
Well worth here sightseeing, a Chinese tour afraid do not understand!
Great place for family at Mighty Mo for evening picnics and entertainment
After you visit USS Arizona, you need to visit the Mighty Mo!
Awesome tour, so informative. The battleship was an impressive piece of engineering, and access and information was very available to many interesting areas. Highly recommended.
Great way to get an overview of what life was like for a sailor. Our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable.
Ended up upgrading to the "Heart of the Missouri" tour, taking you below deck to see all of the inner workings of the ship. We had a very knowledgeable guide and a small group making for a really great tour.
They werent kidding though, lots of tight spaces, steep ladder-like stairways and uneven surfaces to walk over. Worth keeping in mind if you feel like taking the same tour we did.
Got the upgraded tour. Fantastic. Ate lunch there. Wouldn't waste my time doing that again.
Very cool to run around a genuine piece of history. Everyone needs to come here
Very moving place. Great layout. Take snacks with you as not a huge selection to have lunch
I really enjoyed the amount of space available to view and walk through. There are plenty of people to help on the tour of the ship and enhance the experience. Kudos to the Staff.
If you haven't been on the Navy ship. This is the place to be.
You can now tour the real battleships that have become valuable.
The battleship "Missouri" was a place where I wanted to go to Japan someday, in the sense that the battleship that Japan had surrender signed, and in the sense that I wanted to experience the huge body of the battleship "Yamato" that I can not see anymore.
It is recommended because there is a Japanese audio guide. In any case, it is better to use it. It is fun just to look at it, but it can be enjoyed several times more.
There is a trace of war that a special attack aircraft rushed into this ship, and silently silently.
I was impressed by the display that the body of the enemy, the Japanese pilot, was honored with the naval ceremony of the water burial.
Inside, there was a special exhibition about the Special Attacks Team, and I was impressed by the very control and fair contents.
I can not forget that the American family watched the display with tears.
It is a place where I want you to see the facilities of Chiran and the special attack team of Kanoya in one set.
Well worth visiting and spending some quality time at this memorial
What a historic battleship. World war 2 effectively ended in this ship. This is also the ship that fired the first Tomahawk missiles. There is a lot to see on this ship. There is also so much to learn. This ship took a direct hot from a kamakazi pilot. The exact location where it happened is marked and there is a picture as well of the moment before impact where you can clearly see the aircraft next to the ship before impact. There is so much to learn at this place. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
Great experience for anyone, including families. The tour is accessible, but to really get the full experience, there is a lot walking and stairs,
This was my first time in Honolulu and going to Pearl Harbor was a must. We bought the Pearl Harbor Passport which included the USS Bowfin, USS Missouri, Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, and USS Arizona all in one. They offered a military discount, for any of you active/NG/retired service members. Battleship Missouri was a must! You were able to take bus (included in the passport) over to the Missouri and spend as long as you wanted there. The staff gave a quick safety brief and then you were able to take a guided or self-guided tour at your own pace, up a few tiers, to see everything. You can see the exact point where the Japanese surrender took place and the actual signed documents, which was a great area for taking pictures! Overall, I highly recommend Battleship Missouri if you are in Honolulu!
Visiting the mighty mo was a very interesting experience. We took the 35 minutes guided tour which explains a couple of things about some aspects of the boat such as it's history, it's cannons and more. The best part in my opinion was seeing the place where world war two ended. The boat is vast plan for at least two hours plus the time you need to actually get here from the ticketing station (another 15 minutes). If you want to do the Missouri and the aviation museum it will set you back about 52$ just the Missouri is 29$. You can buy some souvenirs at the Missouri.
Historical perspective on the signing of the end of WWII with Japan
Sorry the Arizona Memorual was closed. But the Missouri was very nice. Worth the visit
The war is really terrible, more terrible than I thought
Lots to see. Take the free tour right when you enter. Good info and orientation.
Great tour of the ships history. People were friendly knowledgeable about the ship.
Such a wonderful and moving experience! I chose to go all out and see all that I could with the passport package. I loved every moment!
Passport Package: $72 (as of 01/11/18), includes USS AZ, USS MO, USS Bowfin, Aviation Museum, guided audio tours throughout the exhibits, and the NEW virtual reality tour.
Tip: If you return with Passport Ticket with in 7 days you can have another day for $10! I personally wish I had another day to spend there!
The USS Missouri was awesome, I might come back soon, or not.
Cheese burgers.
Birds are fat. yo mama
It makes you fly to remote times ... very sad the war
What an absolutely amazing experience. There's so much to see and discover on this beautiful ship, with history lying around every corner. Every staff member on the ship was so friendly and helpful, you can tell they're incredibly passionate about what they do. If you're in the area or making a stop at the Arizona Memorial, you just have to make the trip here as well!
Good free tour given by Veterans. Learned a lot about US history and Navy.
Do the heart of the Missouri tour and have Jim do it, the guy is amazing.
Don't miss taking the guided 30 minute tour offered just after boarding the ship. The historical overview brings the Missouri to life. And take your time after that to explore the whole ship.
Impressive Battleship, the tour guides were very knowledgeable.
Awsome! Only regret we didnt have more time to spend here.
So awesome. This historical landmark is always under restoration and the volunteers that keep it alive are the best! They will tell you the most interesting facts about the ship as well as take you to some of the hidden gems that it has to offer. Be ready to learn about one of the greatest historical landmarks of the Navy.
I visited both memorials it was quite the experience I would love to go back and visit it was something you can't pass up it was memorable time for me as a young child my grandpa was there with my as well whichmade even more special
Respectful and well organized, would recommend any one to visit.
Brilliant. Very well done. A powerful reminder of the past. Highly recommended.
Great tour and good way to learn some of the ww2 history
Tour didn't give you long enohgg to see everything. But what we did see was worth every dollar.
Awesome piece of history. The USS Missouri is a massive battleship, its also the place the empire of Japan surrendered to the US/UK forces ending WW2.
I was excited for my tour of the Mighty Mo. Unfortunately, the incompetent ticket takers couldn t figure out my pre-printed tickets nor find me in their system. This confusion delayed my time on board
The guide was a young man who recently semi-memorized his presentation and could not answer any technical or history-related questions.
Very neat massive guns when you stand under them .wish you could see engine room .
Awesome. A well built floating town. I can imagine how well it performed.
Lots of history but Midway Carrier in San Diego better
This ship was in many battle and you get to go aboard and tour it. Very very cool.
It was great although they are doing renovations right now and the bridge and really the top three decks were unacessible. Other then that the tour was really good. And the general up keep was good. I liked the displays too. Not busy when I was there on a Wednesday, I felt like I was the only one on the ship at times. Definitely do this tour once the renos are done.
Adorei o filme por isso resolvi pesquisar um pouco mais sobre esse monstro dos mares lindo e gigante
