An absolute MUST if you are in Pearl Harbor.
For about $ 25 you can go directly on board and take a close look at everything.
The USS Missouri but you can also see up close when you ride the free ferry.

The views from this area alone are worth the trip even if you choose not to tour the ship itself. There are plenty of food options available on the dock along with souvenirs, water and restrooms. Walk to the eastern end of the dock for a fantastic view of the Arizona Memorial. Parking is plentiful and there are plenty of service personnel around to help you find your way!

An experience to have for yourself. I took pictures other parts of the ship. If you are curious about it, go visit it yourself. Picture do not do justice, only conserve memories. This ship is massive in scale compared to you, standing on the deck, let alone looking at it off the pier. Must see, preserved era in history floating on a ship. Awesome!

A very awesome tour of a wonderfully kept WWII era battleship. It is moored in Pearl Harbor, but it was not there during the December 7, 1941 attack. However, this historic battleship is where the Japanese Instrument of Surrender was signed in Tokyo Bay on September 2, 1945.

The ship is actually located on the base, so if you have military ID, you can drive to it. Otherwise, you can take a shuttle from the World War II Valor In The Pacific National Monument (AKA Pearl Harbor Visitor Center AKA USS Arizona Memorial).

Cost to tour the battleship is $5 which includes an informative guided tour around the deck. You get to see and stand at the exact spot where General MacArthur and other officials signed the Japanese Instrument of Surrender. Very historical spot.

After the tour of the deck you are free to venture below deck by yourself and see the mess halls, the sleeping quarters, officer s areas, and more. The ship is in really great shape and is well worth the $5 to check it out.

Oriental experience inside and out. The whole ship is history itself. I'm particularly impressed to get you an insight into the crew's everyday life. For closer viewing, approx. two hours are required.

Missouri's official guide naoki's explanation, irresistible to history lovers, the story of the US Army who carefully buried the crew who died in the Zero Battle, where the Zero Battle that attacked Chiran attacked Missouri in the Battle of Okinawa I get tears in. Arizona Memorial Hall-Chiran Special Attack Peace Hall-Okinawa Peace Memorial Park-Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park-Battleship Missouri, if you don't like history, you should go once.

The Battleship Missouri Memorial is beyond any words that I can express. First of all how well maintained it is speaks for itself. I did the guided VIP tour and was just amazed at the knowledge of Archer guide but even more so the living conditions that our nation's Heroes lived in while fighting in World War II and maintaining our freedoms that we have today. I couldn't imagine being in that Boiler Room stoking the furnace and the temperatures that must have resonated considering that you have minimal air flow throughout the ship below the deck. Would highly recommend to any and all if you have the chance.

About Battleship Missouri Memorial

The Battleship Missouri Memorial is a historical landmark that rests in the heart of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. It is a popular tourist destination that offers activities and tours to visitors from across the world. The memorial is dedicated to preserving the legacy of one of America's most iconic battleships, the USS Missouri.

The USS Missouri was commissioned in 1944 and played a significant role in World War II, serving as the site where Japan officially surrendered to Allied forces on September 2nd, 1945. The ship also served during the Korean War and Operation Desert Storm before being decommissioned in 1992.

Today, visitors can explore this historic vessel through guided tours or self-guided audio tours. The Battleship Missouri Memorial offers several tour options including a basic tour which covers all nine decks of the ship and highlights its history and significance. Visitors can also opt for an extended tour which includes access to areas not typically open to the public such as officer quarters and engine rooms.

In addition to touring the ship itself, visitors can also explore exhibits located throughout the memorial grounds which showcase artifacts from World War II including uniforms, weapons, photographs, and personal items belonging to crew members who served aboard USS Missouri.

For those interested in experiencing what life was like aboard this legendary battleship firsthand, overnight encampments are available for groups ranging from youth organizations to corporate team-building events. Participants sleep on board in bunks similar to those used by sailors during WWII while participating in educational programs designed around naval history.

The Battleship Missouri Memorial also hosts several special events throughout the year including ceremonies commemorating important dates such as Pearl Harbor Day (December 7th) or Veterans Day (November 11th). These events offer visitors an opportunity to pay their respects while learning more about America's military history.

Overall, visiting The Battleship Missouri Memorial is an unforgettable experience that provides insight into one of America's most significant military vessels while honoring those who served aboard her.
