HUGE and AMAZING! Be sure to give yourself at least an hour just to view and enjoy everything. Lots of climbing as well.

Very nice destination, a little pricey and be prepared to wait.
Great piece of American history, a ship that serviced!
Brilliant but you need a whole day to really explore properly.
Was a good visit enjoyed it more than the other exhibits at petal harbour
My rating would be A+++ but I've been to the Missouri before so I'm a little biased
Supper fun LOVE this place. I want to go again. Got to do all sorts of things, learned a lot, good food, and got to sleep at the Missouri. Had a blast.
Go when it is cool out and it will be a great time!
Amazing experience. Heartily recommend the inside your of a turret and the lower levels - my guide (joe) was a fantastic source of insight.
I could have spent the whole day on the Missouri enjoyed it so much great part of my Hawaii trip
Wonderful place to take the whole family. Much history learned!
Definitely worst a visit to see the Missouri and Arizona Memorials
Kind of spendy. Too many picture and purchase options. Too many pushy sales like the free pearls to purchase jewelery options.
My Boy Scout Troop did the encampment overnight stay on Mighty Mo and they take great care of you. Sleep on actual crew bunks, take afternoon and night tours, and eat in the crew galley. Great program and they have tours that are interesting for all age groups. They even let us retrieve the colors off the fantail of the ship, and raise them the next morning. I encourage all scouts to apply for this opportunity. The staff were extremely knowledgeable of all things Battleship Missouri.
Fun and historical, we paid full price but some of attraction was closed.
the Big Mo, a beautiful battleship. One of just four in the American fleet, now retired from active service. It sits where the USS Oklahoma was berthed on December 7th, right behind the Arizona. You can spend hours wandering through this floating museum.
Very solemn and interesting memorial. I'm glad we preserved it.
This was fantastic! Our guide was terrific. Really enjoyed seeing the bookends of the war. Favorite part of more of personal stories like the kamakaze pilot who crashed into the ship and hearing how young those pilots were then. I also love that the Mighty Mo wasn't forgotten and scraped for parts, but kept as part of our history.
The ship has far more history with it than I thought! A must-visit place!
Overall nice experience you can pick your tour type or do them all guided, audio or fee wander. Nice view and close to the Arizona memorial if you missed out on tickets to it.
Fascinating place. Very informative and entertaining tour. Definitely worthwhile.
Guides were helpful and informative. I learned another piece of our history today. It was expensive for the ticket to tour it.
The story of the Japanese guide of the volunteer was wonderful. For Japan, it was a nice historically important boat ride.
It is impossible to explain this size and power unless it actually experiences.
Sobering & Grateful for those that gave their lives for freedom.
It's a great experience, honestly quite surprised by the freedom you are allowed to explore
Amazing, as it is well preserved and dates back to the 50s
I could have spent all day here will have to come back for sure. Great to be able to wander about in such a magnificent piece of history. Tour guides are great.
Participated in the ceremony to obtain American citizenship on the deck here. The weather was great and the breeze was so comfortable that it was easy to spend. "Feels so Good (Chuck Mangione)" thanks to "Breezin '(George Benson)". For attendees and relatives of the ceremony, the entrance fee (about $ 27) is free. Many new citizens were coming with their relatives. It looked like a big "celebration". At that time, I was the only one in Hawaii, so it was an absolute minority attending by myself.
I put 5 Stars here because I attended the Ceremony for People who have gotten A CITIZENSHIP OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA on its DECK!! The Weather was the Best then I was sooo comfortable for nice BREEZE. "Feels so Good" for "Breezin '"The Attendance and his or her Relatives of the Ceremony are free for Entrance Fee (Around $ 27). Many NEW CITIZEN visited there with their Relatives. It looked like a BIG" CELEBRATION ". At that time, Only I stayed at Honolulu so I was very few that I went there ALONE.
A well preserved piece of history that should be visited. Only down side is there seems to always be some sort of restoration going on that blocks off portions of the ship.
There is a lot to see. But it is quite exhausting, if you want to pull through the entire Pearl Harbor offer in one day.
Excellent. Spent two hours on it but could have been there much longer.
Standing on the spot where Japan surrendered is incredible, despite all the campy activities you have to endure before getting on the Missouri, i.e., photos with helmets, hot dog and ice cream stands, etc. The bus drive can be a bit wearying too. Since you have to pay to go to most places around Pearl Harbor, save your money for this and the Arizona.
A great visit that the whole family can learn from and enjoy
Grants interesting view into life aboard a warship. Nice, big boat with lots to explore, read, and learn. Clean, and with friendly staff. Expect some construction on the boat itself; it's never not being maintained. Even for non-history buffs it makes for a great afternoon. Cool as hell.
Once again ,four years after visiting first time around, I still found it emotional and she's fresh tears! Left another bit if my heart here! Honouring the brave and never forget!
Great experience for the whole family. Enjoyed exploration of this historic Pearl Harbor vessal!
Very nice boat ... interesting visit..shows the daily life of the sailor ... view of the bridge ...
I wish we had spent all day at the battleship. We did a guided tour and had 2-3 hours on the Missouri but we could have spent twice that amount of time looking around. Extremely well set up with tons of information. Make sure you do the guided tour. I'd go back here in a heart beat.
What a great day. It was amazing to be able to have the time to stand up on a piece of history.
This is a great place and worth the visit but it is very expensive. Bring lots of money. Currently they are renovating the deck and conning tower. Lots of history but it is still in its 1992 reconfiguration for the gulf war.
The world's last active battleship and the location of the surrender ceremony ending WWII.
Very inspiring museum. The mighty MO didn't disappoint.
Beautiful historic site at Pearl Harbor. It's amazing to see the common areas and rooms on the ship.
Never been on a ship before, this was a very neat experience. The history of this ship is just incredible.
Wonderful history and great tour! A historical must see.
Open during the shut down until the private funding expires. Something everyone should see
Fascinating tour, guided by experts, well worth the time and money.
An awesome memorial to the US Armed Forces. Take a guided or unguided tour, your choice, but make sure you see the place where a war that killed an estimated 60 million people ended.
There are tour guides to walk you through and along the self guided tour to answer questions. Tours are on the main deck and also the deck below. Be careful and mind your knees and head. As with any naval ship, things are tight and cramped so bumping into things is common.
Prices are $27 per adult, cannot remember kid prices though. Gift shop, food trucks and more are on premises too.
In late June and July 4th weekend, there are also picnics with discounted admission ($15 per adult, $10 per kid day of, but $10 per adult and $5 per kid if you buy in advance). You can bring your own food or hit up one of the food trucks, with a hands on exhibit and Lego play area.
You reach the Missouri from a shuttle bus coming from the Pearl Harbor museum center.
there is a tour guide that explains you the history of the ship. I tough it was extremely interesting from both the technical as well as the historical point of view.
It was awesome to visit! The details of the history of men who served onboard.
Loved the ship but it was crazy crowded and waiting to go up and down platforms got frustrating. Awesome to see where WWII ended. Worth the visit.
Stunning. Combine with a visit to the USS Arizona memorial to witness the beginning and end of WWII.
If you come to Honolulu you cannot miss this experience.
Great walking tour. Allow time maybe 90 minutes and you see more
Great experience on Missouri. Though I've only been for army ceremonies and Easter service which was sooooo good. There Missouri is a living piece of American history and should you ever have the chance to visit you must.
Ship is great, souvenir shop outrageously expensive.poor infrastructure around a living icon.
During my visit we got put on lock down for the shooting that happened on the base. The staff were very great while we were all locked in the dining hall, making sure we all had water and keeping everyone calm.
Incredible to think that this ship, is about half the size of a modern cruise ship. Great tour, either self guided or in a group.
I had the luxury of having a personal tour of the Missouri by a high school friend who was stationed in Pearl Harbor, retired, and living here. A little surprised at the entry fee, but know it is expensive to upkeep such a large ship!
Can't miss this tourist attraction if you are in Oahu. History at it's best.
This amazing example of a ww2 battleship has so much history to it. Seeing it's size also puts the sunken Arizona into better perspective.
The Battleship Missouri Memorial is a historical landmark that rests in the heart of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. It is a popular tourist destination that offers activities and tours to visitors from across the world. The memorial is dedicated to preserving the legacy of one of America's most iconic battleships, the USS Missouri.
The USS Missouri was commissioned in 1944 and played a significant role in World War II, serving as the site where Japan officially surrendered to Allied forces on September 2nd, 1945. The ship also served during the Korean War and Operation Desert Storm before being decommissioned in 1992.
Today, visitors can explore this historic vessel through guided tours or self-guided audio tours. The Battleship Missouri Memorial offers several tour options including a basic tour which covers all nine decks of the ship and highlights its history and significance. Visitors can also opt for an extended tour which includes access to areas not typically open to the public such as officer quarters and engine rooms.
In addition to touring the ship itself, visitors can also explore exhibits located throughout the memorial grounds which showcase artifacts from World War II including uniforms, weapons, photographs, and personal items belonging to crew members who served aboard USS Missouri.
For those interested in experiencing what life was like aboard this legendary battleship firsthand, overnight encampments are available for groups ranging from youth organizations to corporate team-building events. Participants sleep on board in bunks similar to those used by sailors during WWII while participating in educational programs designed around naval history.
The Battleship Missouri Memorial also hosts several special events throughout the year including ceremonies commemorating important dates such as Pearl Harbor Day (December 7th) or Veterans Day (November 11th). These events offer visitors an opportunity to pay their respects while learning more about America's military history.
Overall, visiting The Battleship Missouri Memorial is an unforgettable experience that provides insight into one of America's most significant military vessels while honoring those who served aboard her. With its rich history and unique offerings for tourists of all ages it has become one of Hawaii's top attractions attracting thousands each year making it a must-visit destination when traveling through Hawaii!
