One of the most powerful visits I've had in my life, my wife and I will never forget it
The staff is helpful and the walking tour guide Jarod was great with our big group
Wear comfortable shoes if you want to explore all the decks! The staff is very friendly, informative and helpful. Lots to see and learn!
A great visit, and our tour guides did a wonderful job.
Should be 6 STARS. A must do experience if in Honalulu. I didn't actually come out here on my first trip but visited on my second trip when the kids were old enough to enjoy climbing all over this mighty ship. The history is well documented all over the vessel. Really can't recommend highly enough the need to do this.
One of the must visits while in Hawaii. You almost have free run of the ship while your there. Obviously some things are closed off but get a great idea of what life was like when it was in service.
Amazing tour of below decks, gun turrets, engine room!
Great experience ..cant say enough about this ...very interesting ..very emotional .. a must do.
It's a great museum, but the smell of the floor wax inside the ship is a bit strong I got dizzy a few times.
This is a must see. The battleship is very well preserved and the ship itself is impressive to say the least. It was surreal to see how the crew lived and operated this floating city/armory.
The Mighty Mo is a big and brutal part of history. She's totally outdated by today's modern warfare standards, but it's pretty amazing to walk through her belly and imagine the feeling of being on board during battle. Definitely worth a few minutes of quiet contemplation to stop at the deck where the agreement to end WW2 was signed.
I stayed overnight a few months ago and really enjoyed it. You don't see much without staying overnight though. There isnt as much to see as I expected. It is a great stop though.
AWESOME!!! Must do!!! So informative. Thank you to our service men and women
A rare opportunity to glimpse a key piece of naval hardware that played an integral role throughout multiple key points during the 20th Century. The basic tour only covered a limited space on the ship, which at first, I couldn't understand given the sheer size of the vessel. Essentially you tour the bow and starboard sides, a bit of the tower, then are left on your own to explore the rest. Once we started below deck, we understood why - the fact that the ship was retrofitted in the 80's means that you get all of its glory (or lack thereof), which means "old" but not in an interesting historical way. So many of the passageways were deserted and sparsely documented, it just felt a bit creepy being so alone in such a large space. I hope in the future more will be done to restore the interior, so my advice would be to skip below the deck (or just do a brief tour), and move onto other sites in the Monument.
Great experience! Our tour guide Jared make our visit easy and complete. Don't miss the opportunity to visit this battleship
It is a must see of Hawaii. The battleship has an amazing amouny of History. The price is a bit expensive but well worth it if you have the time.
On board the Battleship Missouri Memorial today with the #USNSCC (United States Navy Sea Cadet Corps) Battleship Missouri Division. This outstanding group of youth drills onboard the Battleship Missouri every other Saturday.
Very informative tour guide allowed us to understand the history and significance of the battleship.
The Battleship Missouri is a historical Naval vessel that has defended the US for many years. She has been turned into a museum so the people can understand the trials and tribulations of what the sailors of the past had to go through. The year 2019 marked the 75th Anniversary to her commissioning. This place is family friendly, people who have trouble getting around such as going up and down stairs and or ladders may have trouble visiting this place.
Walking the ship makes you feel like part of the crew. You can visualize the experience. A must visit if you are in the area.
A mighty way machine. Worth the taking the time. We took too little kids. They loved it.
Our favorite site at Pearl Harbor. Very cool to board a battleship and see how it functions and how the sailors live on the ship.
The audio tour was excellent I suggest doing that, it let's you go at your own pace. So don't skip picking up a headset
An amazing sight, worth going and learning about our history.
90 minutes is not enough to fully absorb the place of The USS Missouri in modern history. I could have spent half the day there. It was also very poignant to see the kamikaze exhibit and read the letters of the Japanese pilots to their families and loved ones before they went off to their certain fates.
I love everything that is World War II and that battleship is a myth I would love to
I get very tired and because I couldn't bring any think remotely looking like a bag or purse, I didn't have a snack and there wasn't coffee in premises at all. Very tiring experience.
Unmissable historical visit if you are in pearl Harbor, you can go directly and buy the tickets on site, the attention is cordial, and you can move freely through the authorized areas of the boat. Has. A free English guided tour
Very interesting and educational to walk around, friendly and informative staff on board. Nice view of USS Arizona.
A work in progress with all the repairs, but what a massive ship!! I enjoyed my visit!
Loved touring this battleship. Give yourself plenty of time. Guided or self tours available. Everything is well marked. Only down side was being forced to have picture taken while waiting in line. Would not let us skip the picture. Added time to the waiting line.
It gets a little maze-like down on the ship so be prepared. Bring water. It gets hot in line and on deck. Beautiful exhibit though.
Wow one of the best place to visit for history lovers
This is great first hand view of what the sailors lives were like aboard a battleship.
Truly an emotional national treasure that everyone should experience.
Amazing! The tour lasts about 20 min. They have docents & I hooked up with that . A complete up & down tour!
This was a very nice tour. Loved the historical value of this memorial. Learned so much. I recommend visiting the Battleship while visiting Ohau.
This was breathtaking. The history will give u goosebumps!!!!
Stunning battleship, enjoy touring it has a great history
If you're looking for an attraction that is a must see, this is one of the places you have to go to! The tour is self guided and the ship has a lot of different places to go into and explore as well as learning about all the interesting history the ship has been through. The price for the tour is completely worth for the amount time you'll be spending on the ship!
It was great. I got to see everything including a video on Pearl Harbor
It was nice to see the history that's held here, and since the friend I was with is a massive history nerd it was all the more enjoyable.
I was sorry that it was under repair.
However, the former Imperial Japanese Army was on this ship ...
I thought it was unscrupulous but deeply emotional.
The Japanese guide was also very easy to understand with a polite explanation.
Another huge part of the history of this country. A must see.
As a World War II history buff I cannotexplain the profoundness of visiting the very spot where it ended. I've toured military ships before but this is the first that I have from the WWII era. It is definitely a great experience and when I come back to Hawaii I will definitely come here again.
A lot of history is perfectly displayed and discussed. The beneath deck exhibits are amazing.
If you live here or are on vacation. In my opinion, it's a must see. I've been there several times and it's always been a great experience.
It is a grest time to visit all the sitrs at pearl harbor. If you live on the islands GO NOW, it won't ever be this quiet again!
Great place to visit. We really enjoyed this place! The guides are very informative. It's great to see one of the great battleships.
All of Pearl's historical stuff should not be missed
This was by far the most touching & memorable part of my trip to Hawaii! The Pearl Harbor & USS Missouri tours are a truly amazing glimpse back in time!!
It was so good. The history and the whole tour. I recommend it to everyone as a must see
I learned a lot about World War II.
The guide of the guide was easy to understand.
What a amazing ship along with the incredible history
Well guided tours and transportation to the battleship.
I gave the guide a detailed explanation with a deck. After that, the inside of the ship went around only by themselves, but it was only a very interesting place and I wanted to hear the explanation here. Maybe I should have borrowed the audio guide.
I was satisfied with entering only places with guides
Loved the tour of the ship, and it's history! And getting to go below deck!
Impressive movie followed by a boat ride to the memorial.
Missouri retired in 1992 and is now a museum
It is used.
