Beautiful experience. We were greeted by very nice ladies, who gave us a guide in Italian.

We came here to visit the ruins of the nearby Roman baths, and we didn't enter. The guide explained that the ladder on which the angels walk on the outer wall is different from other places, which is its characteristic.

Stunning Tudor perpendicular gothic creation, full of history, memorials, church of Rome / Benedictine and church of England symbolism. Also sits on the floor and foundations of the 900 year old French Norman cathedral, just to add some extra intrigue.

Fantastic abbey. Very old, well preserved and of historical interest.

Bath Abbey is a must-see while you're in town. The high vaulted ceiling, stained glass, and baroque decor rival some of the best cathedrals in Europe. Like many places of worship, entrance is free to tourists but there is a suggested optional donation of a few pounds. Some of the best exterior views of the butresses are from the adjacent Roman baths.

It's still under renovation, and the fence is destroying the landscape, unfortunately!

Took my 8 and 6 year old here who both loved it. First time for me too having walked past it many times before really enjoyable few hours although Covid queuing inside was a bit annoying.

Very beautiful facility. The history is truly something to take in. This place gives new meaning to church family records. In all honesty, it is a much a church as it is a mausoleum and indoor graveyard as a great many people are entombed here, most tiles also containing a bit about the person lying there. There was a lot of construction being done on this centuries old church when I visited.

Such a peaceful place with so much history.

Xmas evening Mass to celebrate before the big day, it was a lovely service be it for terrible speaker problems which should have been ironed out before the day.

The most wonderful wedding venue of the 21st century (so far)!

A very beautiful church in Bath. Because it is next to The Roman Bath, you can do sightseeing together. The outside is excellent, but please go inside and watch the stained glass. You can enjoy beautiful stained glass in a solemn atmosphere.

Beautiful abbey with sculptures and stained glass very refined. In addition we made a visit of the bell tower and the clock with at the end a beautiful panorama on Bath.

Popped in for a quick visit whilst staying in Bath. Sadly they are working on the abbey at the moment so half of it is fenced off but still a beautiful place.

Very beautiful and impressive its architecture. It is in restoration and can not be seen completely. To highlight the stained glass.

You'll do a real disservice to yourself if you visit Bath and don't stop in to see the Abbey. Fantastic, beautiful church, brimming with history. While we were inside, there was a school choir practicing Christmas carols, what a treat that was. Staff walking around were friendly and engaging, really nice to see and made the visit more pleasant. No restrictions on photography, and what a subject it is!

Interesting fact: I read there in the church that they are planning on using the outfall water from the nearby Roman baths to provide under-floor heating. Very cool!

The footorint project meants that half the Abbey was closed but still worth s quick look around

Beautiful Abbey and lots of fun seasonal events like the Christmas Market take place around here. It's the image of Bath!

Bath Abbey was wonderful inside and we spent some time exploring the amazing building with exquisite stone masonry, fantastically photogenic.

Beautiful old building but a lot of it is currently being renovated.

Similar to other abbeys but the visit was worthing. Close to other places that are good to see them.

Ancient church, fabulous stained glass, we also enjoyed the family stories on many grave stones. The entrance is free, you only need to pay to go upstairs (tours available every hour).

I personally liked this temple more than Roman Baths. The interior design (especially the ceiling) is fine and beautiful.

Bath Abbey beautiful, under massive facelift right now. Will be spectacular when complete.

Stunning architecture and packed with history. Well worth a visit.

Loved the age, grace, beauty and history of the building, but interior stones have snippets of people's lives in for instance the 1740s.

Climb up the tour!!! You get an amazing view of Bath and a spectacular lesson in the history of the Abbey. Stairs can be tricky to climb, but absolutely 100% worth it!!!

Lovely staff and appropriate social distancing measures

Its a beautiful architecture inside and outside. Front view is a bit hidden because of the constructions near by but from river and from the side road one can capture good pictures. Inside it has big glass windows that seems like typical british artwork from 16th century. There are couple of paid parking areas on walking distance from the Abbey. Long queues on sundays if you are a visitor.

Atmosphere and friendly people. Fascinating wonder wall of commemorative plaques.

Absolutely stunning. One of my favourite cathedrals in the world, together with Mosteiro da Batalha in Portugal.

Bath abbey, like bath is beautiful and set in the centre of the town amongst the Roman baths and a delightful collection of arcades with independent an chain stores.

The abbey has sophisticated fan vault, solemn atmosphere, and a nice gift shop. The performance by street musicians gave the square outside a romantic vibe. All in all, it worths a visit.

It seems that tourists can not enter from 12 o'clock. It is recommended to go early.

There is no entrance fee
It is said that there is a place like a reception at the entrance and it is a donation only to women, so it does not mean that you have to pay how much

I went to 12/28 but it still had a Christmas tree

The place is incredible, and very beautiful. Its main stage is full of details, like the two carved stone stairs through which angels ascending are sculpted. If you have the chance to visit it at night, it is very worth it, due to the lighting it has. Highly recommended.
