Amazing food and service. Alex our server was fantastic and the Assistant GM, Sam is beyond professional!

Just had dinner for our ten year anniversary here. Brought the kids as well and the chef made us something kid friendly even though there isn't a kid menu. As always the food was perfect with equally exquisite service and atmosphere. If your looking for a meal out that is an event make this a priority.
Went for the first time for their annual mushroom dinner. Good was excellent, service was excellent. Formal, but not stuffy.
Fantastic place. French onion soup is the best ever.
Really good food, Kristina was very attentive. Expensive but not outrageous. ~$30/person
Great restaurant with an amazing view! They serve American-style French cuisine. One of the only places in Milwaukee where you can get duck! They also have an amazing Easter brunch with mimosas.
Exquisite! A truly marvelous fine dining experience. I've been several times over the past few years and always come away with the best experience. Their cuisine is to-die-for and Maria Bartolotta is wonderful. Go here for your most special occasions.
Celebrated a special event, dinner was well prepared, it's a French restaurant so the servers described what certain dishes were. They suggested good wine and they also had a romantic feeling in the environment. Window seats with a candle lit dinner was a wonderful private celebration
The Sunday Brunch was an excellent way to wrap up my birthday celebration. My step-daughter made the reservation noting we were celebrating my birthday. We were one of the first groups seated that morning and our table was in the Lake room. I received a signed card thanking us for selecting Lake Park. Our server, Josh, was most attentive. He made excellent suggestions about the menu. We enjoyed the three course brunch which offered an abundant array of food. I started with the creamy, flavorful asparagus soup (why doesn't mine ever taste this delicious), saving room for the Crab Benedict with perfectly poached eggs and a mound of crab, then the finishing touch of Basque Cake. (Note: This didn't prevent me from enjoying the candle presentation of creme brulee). My palette was thanking the chefs. Our celebration was most memorable. After writing this review weeks after our event, I'm signing off and making a reservation!
Recommend choosing from the Chef's menu and the daily specials. All the food was tasty and the service was excellent.
A bit on the pricey side but the food is of such quality that it feels worth the price. The steak tartare is awesome.
Great service, good view. Good upscale seafood and meat including lamb chops and ribeye.
Service was A plus. Atmosphere is beautiful but it smell funky in the resturant. My food was terribly salty.
Great food, really well thought out menu and good attentive service too.
Small selection, and often out of dishes but overall tasty eats.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice. The service was A+
Excellent service and a nice location. Food is great.
Delicious food and great ambiance. View overlooking lakefront
This is a great place, excellent food and very good service
Amazing service, consistently good food, beautiful location.
Food was so good... dessert was almost too rich for my blood. Almost. ;) Waitstaff is very polite and attentive - and plentiful! We wanted for nothing. Noisy, but that's Saturday night for you. Popular place, and I can see why. I had the daily special and it was melt-in-your-mouth with delightfully subdued spices and although it was not too salty by any means, i found myself reaching time and time again for my wine. I think it speaks to the perfect pairing suggested by the waiter. Wonderful. Everything was wonderful.
Pricey, fairly limited menu. If you are a picky eater, probably not the place for you. No build your own - anything. Omlet of the day was salmon. Excellent service, however. Food was good.
Very good service and amazing food!
Beautiful place, very clean and good temperature.
We sat at the Chef's table tonight (6/14/19), were served by Kira, Jenn and Chef John. We had such a wonderful time through great service, top notch food and a remarkable atmosphere, that I spontaneously proposed to my girlfriend (without even having a ring). If that doesn't deserve 5 stars, nothing does. Our food included escargot, French onion soup, asparagus soup, halibut, the filet medallions, and the mousse dessert. We also had several drinks, and our bill was under $180. A FABULOUS value compared to many 5-star restaurants. Thank you, Joe (RIP), and we will be back!!!!
A must do in MKE! All of the bartolottas are fantastic!
Service was excellent. Dinner choices were varied. I had Dover Sole and it outstanding. Looking forward to returning, so I can try some of the other entree
This historic building has been transformed into an elegant bar and restaurant with a wonderful menu. The food measures up to the setting as well. Outstanding from the delicious crusty bread to the chicken liver pate appetizer thru to the delicious entres. The view of Lake Michigan is the cherry on top.
This is a great place food is excellent service amazing recommended hundred percent
Absolutely love this place! My wife and I come back every year for our anniversary and will continue to do so. Such an unique experience!
This is a fancy place for big occasions. Try this out for birthdays or anniversaries and you will like it. Lakefront view is good when there is sunlight. In the evenings in winter the sparkles of the icicles reflect through the windows. Food is varied and with guidances from the helpful staff you can find the right mix. Vegetarian options are available. Cheese plates are great too. The restaurant is spacious and very well decorated.
Always a favorite destination, Bartolottas Lake Park Bistro is nestled in lake Park with a great view of the lake. We like to start with an old fashioned at the bar and then try to get a window view. I enjoyed the best medium rare ribeye with brussel sprouts. My wife went for the filet mignon and scallops. As always, we grabbed a few desserts to share. The chocolate mousse with praline crust was my fave!
We just had our wedding here, and we loved everything about it, from food to decor
to service. Many guests commented that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. Whitney, who coordinated, was extremely knowledgeable, efficient, professional, and friendly. Highly recommend.
Super view, tasty food and love the selection of champagne!!!
I always love coming here. The service and food are excellent.
Really wonderful brunch in the most beautiful setting
The service was excellent. The food was excellent as well. Thank you Sarah!
Had lunch with my wife and daughter on 12/28/12 at Lake Park Bistro. We wanted something light and easy. My daughter and I ordered the French onion soup which tasted old and the cheese had a strange texture. The bread took up most of the cup and it had little broth with what I would call limp onions. Her salad with mixed greens consisted of 1/2 of a radish thinly sliced and a small strip of onion and 1/2 of a hard cooked egg on ice burg lettuce. (Mixed vegetables?) My mussels were hit or miss when I opened the shells. Half were large, firm with good color the other half were not. Ended up leaving half of the order. My wife's ham sandwich was tasty but the french fries over whelmed the small sandwich.
The problem wasn't so much the quality of the food but the fact that this was at Bartolotta's Lake Park Bistro. Not worth 1/2 of the money and we very disappointed.
I love this restaurant. It's high on a hill and I love to look out over the lake while I dine. The food is excellent and I love the hardwood floor and the elegant atmosphere.
Excellent cuisine and staff. Definitely will be back
I would consider myself a pretty well rounded cosmopolitan person when it comes to foreign cuisine, and pretty understanding of different culture s food, but I can say Lake Park Bistro is one of the worst choices for French cuisine. Due to its terrible service, horrible presentation and plating, and downright disgusting food.
The first reason you should never grace this restaurant with your presence is due to their downright terrible service. First of all, when I visited this restaurant with my extended family it took at least seven minutes to even have a waiter come and greet us. Along those lines it took around another ten minutes to bring a simple drink order of waters and sodas to our table. Lastly, when it came to bringing the main courses they basically threw the food at us, and left, which segways into my next reason you should never go to this restaurant.
The second reason you should never visit this restaurant is their terrible plating and presentation of their food. First of all, my father s steak seemed to have been just thrown onto the plate with a few vegetables, with scattered amounts of aus jus on the plate. Secondly, the dish my uncle ordered which was a piece of fish seemed to have been stepped on, and then put onto a plate. Lastly, when it came to my dish, along with my mothers, it was vegetables and fish in a bag! All of these massive presentation errors are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to my last reason this is one of the worst French places to visit.
The last reason you should never spend any money in Lake Park Bistro is due to the terrible taste of their food. To start, along with my father s steak s terrible presentation it tasted just as bad as it looked he said to me after eating his meal. He said it was medium-well instead of medium-rare, and also added it had little to no taste. Along those lines, my uncle's fish dish also had little taste, but this time it was almost raw. The last thing is, is that my fish in a bag dish along with being downright unappetizing was also, slightly undercooked, and without flavor.
Lake Park Bistro, even though looking beautiful from the outside, is quite ugly on the inside when it comes to its terrible service, horrible presentation and plating, and downright disgusting food. Maybe I just had a bad experience with the restaurant, but my opinion is that you can have a way better 250 dollar meal someplace else.
The vegetarian gnocchi was way too salty and difficult to eat. The green themed cocktail was un-drinkable. Hard to understand why that would even be on the menu. The beet salad was delish. They gave us an adorable card for our anniversary and a complementary champagne toast. Unfortunately the salty gnocchi and bad cocktail tainted the experience for me and we probably won t be going back.
Outstanding!! Their mushroom soup was soooooo tasty. Had the filet mignon which melted in your mouth....perfectly done. Presentation of each dish was lovely. Wonderful dessert! Staff was wonderful.
Excellent setting, exquisite service, delicious food. Our filet mignons almost melted in our mouths!
Lovely restaurant, in French style. Its good there, and nice ambience too.
Great food, fantastic service. Eat at the bar, or the kitchen table. It's fun to interact a bit more with the excellent staff.
Warm, inviting, a little loud and cramped, very good food as always.
Possibly the best restaurant in Milwaukee! Service is great and the food is incredible! The menu changes often and offers innovative, interesting options. Terrific wine and liquor selection. Beautiful atmosphere with great views of the lake. Large, not crowded seating. Easy parking with an approach road drive through beautiful lake park. Expensive but worth every penny! Romantic place to take your special love!
The service was excellent, the food superior, atmosphere spectacular.
Food was good. I expected better food for the price. Dining room was hot and very tight. Service was ok.
Dinner was delicious and we had a great set of servers!
Excellent service and presentation. Our waiter, Chris, was knowledgeable about every menu item and passionate about wine. The view of Lake Michigan is perfect for a romantic or special event.
2 meals out of 3 were delicious! Wonderful service even though it was very very busy.
Great service! My friends reserved a big table for brunch and when we arrived, the host kindly pointed us to where everyone was sitting. I would definitely recommend their croissants and French Toast, but be aware that the serving size is huge and you might take a slice of the fluffy toast home with you. Atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and elegant with a great view of the park and lake. They will split the check for a big group too!
Had the vichesous, steak frites, and creme brulee. Everything, including service, was 5 star.
We had a wonderful meal at Lake Park Bistro. I had the flat iron cooked perfectly and my fiance has the duck confit, which he really enjoyed. Service was above and beyond. Will definitely return for a special occasion.
Our wedding at Lake Park Bistro was absolutely perfect. We had a tented reception with cocktail hour on the gorgeous East Balcony with stunning views of Lake Michigan. The restaurant's white pillars were a perfect location for photos and the surrounding park offered more beautiful options all with in a walking distance. The staff was fantastic and our guests were thrilled with their prompt and friendly service. We also received many, many compliments on the food from our family and friends; even those hard to impress said their meal at Lake Park Bistro was the best they d ever had at a wedding. However, the best thing about Lake Park Bistro was working with Dan. He made us feel comfortable and welcome every step of the way and provided us with excellent advice to make our day fun and stress-free. Dan was clear in all of our communications and went above and beyond to host a meeting for myself and my other vendors. His honest feedback and recommendations helped make our day personal, special, and truly, the best day of our lives. We truly can not say enough about our wonderful experience at Lake Park Bistro, thank you Dan and team!!

Sharon and Alex are fantastic servers, very knowledgeable and attentive. The food was wonderful. Large portion sizes.
My favorite French restaurant in Wisconsin. Great service and food. Price is higher side but worth it.
The Service was Racist, We left with out making it an issue
Always a delight. Food and service never disappoint. Glad to see the restaurant is still maintaining the high standards of it's namesake even after his untimely passing.
From the food to the service, everything was five star!
Not your casual coffee place.
It's a fancy restaurant, with great service, beautiful views, and great food.
Prices are accordingly :)
This is amazing. Only problem was possibly the amount of oil or grease that was in the food. Our server Greg I believe was super nice.
Had a fancy date here . Everything was perfect , food was delicious ,service was great . Can t beat the view of the lake and ambience
Absolutely one of the best date nights my wife and I have ever had. It was snowing, and they put us right at the window. The heater was located along the floor under the windows, so it was extremely comfortable. Hands down, the best piece of fish I've ever had. Get the trout!!!
The Dover Sole is excellent! The Martinis are overpriced.
The food, the ambiance and the service. Do you need any more reasons to go there?
Food and service was great!!!! My only preference would be to be able to have a cocktail at the bar before dinner. The bar has a great ambiance but you seat folks for dinner at the bar while the tables are empty. Suggest that until 7:30 weekdays and 8:30 Friday and Saturday you do not seat people at the bar for dinner.
The muffin on the Egg's Benedict had to be sawn through and the service was slower than during previous visits.
My husband took me there for the first time last Friday (5/10/19). The French Onion Soup was amazing but it went downhill from there. I ordered the gnocchi but I couldn't eat it because of how salty it tasted. When I told the waitress it tasted like pure salt she told me that the recipe had been changed recently and that I was the third person that week to complain about it. I asked for a salad instead because I thought it would be quick and my husband was already halfway done with his dinner. The salad took 15 minutes and once finally received it was a bowl full of iceberg lettuce with half a hard boiled egg and vinaigrette as a dressing. We expected much, much more from a Bartolotta Restaurant. Very disappointing.
I love this place. It's mine and my husband's special date. We drive all the way from Kenosha to there. Only had one unpleasant experience from the waitress but other than that the food has always been delicious.
