I love barona i win alot at barona and get alot of free stuff and the staff are very friendly i always have fun when i go and is the best casino in san diego.

Beautiful back drop for a mini staycation. Had great valet parking service, and room service was quick and easy, and check out was a breeze

My time at barona resort and Casino was really good I love the spa and enjoyed my stay there my room was really nice the employee were great as well

I miss my favorite casino. I love the service there so much, that when you lose money you still feel ok because you had a good night. Unfortunately I smoke while playing, and the seperate room to smoke they added during coronavirus pandemic makes it difficult to enjoy slots. Please keep us posted when smoking regulations will be over, and I will return!

Our favorite casino to escape to! The remodel looks and feels amazing, allows patrons to actually have some elbow room and enjoy losing, hopefully winning, hard earned cash. They treat you like you're royalty. From the first guard shack waving hello as you enter to the hostess simply stopping by with a cookie. Enjoy meals right at your slot machine and not worry.. It's amazing and highly recommended.

Alot of variety and the taste is pretty good. 4 stars because it's just pretty good not amazing. It's pretty pricey so to be honest I only eat there when I've earned comps. Would I recommend it? Sure.

Had a great time. It was my first time at this casino and i visited with a few friends. The staff was very friendly and they keep the place well maintained. I like how lively they were with the random freeplay wins, as well as the option to use your points as freeplay. I can't wait to go again

This visit we came in our RV. Here they currently have a nice small controlled area for RVers. Security regularly comes through to check on everything. They have a very large food court with all types of foods and various nice sit down restaurants that have excellent tastes and service. The beverage carts are always in movement making it easy to receive a beverage. We play on the slots and enjoy many of the newest machines available. In this casino we do not notice the smoke as in many others (we are non smokers).

Food was great at the sage, and the machines are limited, l wanted to play But there's only one open and I Came home busted.

We are from out of state and have been going to Barona for several years. We normally get there 3 to 4 times a year. We recently missed a trip due to an earthquake in our area and lost our player card status by one level. A recent call to obtain room comps was not successful. So much for loyalty to past customers. Things much be getting tight there. We appreciated the great customer service in the past but unfortunately will be looking for new places to explore.

The last time we were here I rated the buffet. This time, for some reason beyond my control, we actually stayed at the hotel. This experience was comparable to the buffet visit, but we were exposed to all that Barona didn't offer. I will say that when we arrived before 3pm (check-in) we were given a ready room. The front desk at that time was courteous & accommodating. We also asked to move closer to the casino around 3, and they sent someone to facilitate a smooth move. This is where the pleasantries end. We were starving, and went to the Sage cafe. Once again, it took an entire 10 min for our drink order to be taken. We were also confused as to who our server was. I'm not sure if this is how Barona trains all its employees at this point. Our food took awhile, I ordered the iceberg wedge salad, but they gave me a piece of lettuce, 1 slice of half a tomato, and a few blue cheese crumbles. Never in my life have I been served anything like this. I ordered the sampler, took 2 bites and regretted them immediately. I dont know who would enjoy the taste of that food, but it would have to be late night, and desperately drunk.<br/>The shower in our room was unreal. The water pressure was literally 2 drops. We had a wall phone that wouldn't stay on the wall. I had to have someone stand there, hanging it up while I called the front desk for more towels. Completely unacceptable. I stopped by a guest service desk, and asked for a comment card, they conveniently were out. I told the clerk, Jake, my issues, and he said he would send maintenance to take care of it. 3 hours later, after our bird baths, maintenance shows up. <br/>Thank God we're only here for a night, otherwise I'd lose my mind. I will never stay at this hotel again, and that's a shame because the property is beautiful. And I wouldn't even accept a comp for the Sage cafe, that's how undesirable that experience was. So disappointing. Also, when I left my review about the buffet, the F&B manager touched base with me, said he would call me back with a resolution, & never did. Shame on Barona for taking people's money, and putting their customer service last.

Casino is clean and a good layout, however too much space devoted to smokers. Normally the food at the buffet is good and hot, was not the case yesterday. Food was luke warm at best and not as tasty as usual.

Real nice casino. Machines Do pay enough to play with casino money. Good free play n comps accumulate quickly. Service is great! Food is very good. A variety of good eating places.
Buffet is awesome. Wish this casino was close to home Tucson AZ.

Casino really sucks if it wasn t for host Eddie I would not gamble here he s the only one who takes care of us. They like to pick and give money away to people who are not week daily customers

This place is HUGE, non-smoking casino which was nice but there were a lot of people there. A bit overwhelming in these times. Lots of machines and tables to choose from, only 2 people allowed at the tables. Very clean, santized, temperature checks in the parking lot, touchless wagering where the dealers at the table place your bets, which is a bit different but the staff was super friendly and helpful. I didn't win anything, machines felt tight but I will go back to give them another try.

It's nice but feels really concise and overall just not as much as other casinos I've been to. However they serve juice which is different than other casinos I've been to.

Walked in with my water in a hydro flask and was Greeted with accusations walking in instead of welcome. She procreated to ask what I had in it, I had said water. Then I opens it to show her it was clear with some ice and she goes dose not look like water and continues to fight the issue I offer her to smell to see if it was anything. I did not smell like Alcohol nor did my container I feel like you would have smelled t when I opend it am I wrong for being upset about this? I would rather drive farther to another casino then go back here I hope you take this in consideration thank you

Love this place! I bought my mom with me, this trip. She really enjoyed herself! Never had a bad meal at any of the restaurants I've eaten at. The service is very good! The parks are very good also! If you're going to gamble anyway, why not get discounts and free things.

This is the best casino in the San Diego area hands down. They got good cheap food, a buffet, an old timey milk shake joint and most of all good ol gambling. I've actually won more often then lost money there. Now that what I call some loose slots. Oh and theres also a super fun digital roulette table that's awesome because you get to learn how to play the game without the pressure of playing the real table. My wife and I love it.

Very disappointed in you guys since you opened back up. You have it advertised that it's 7X the points on Thursday's but come to find out it was only for Platinum and Diamond players. What about those who are Hold trying to up their card level?
This casino caters around Platinum and Diamond. Never had been to a casino that does such thing. On top of that..your machines are tight and your loosest slots advertisement is also false. Time to find new casino

Wonderful casino, it has a great buffet, but know you have to bet to get discount. And maybe it is better to pay the whole meal that bet and win the discount. It is up to you.

Spot on! All Barona staff are super friendly and go out of their way to help and make sure you have a great time. Even individual employees outside of the casino smile and wave as they drive by. That positive response is infectious and I've never had a bad visit. Great marketing and sets the standards high.

We love Barona! The rooms are beautiful, the service is emaculate, the views are just lovely, the food is excellent, and the games are winners! We like to go for the local hiking too!!

I love to come here for the buffet, it's always really clean, fresh food on rotation.

We actually don't use the actual casino, but we go to meet friends at their fabulous Italian restaurant once a month. The wait staff are always good and the food is delicious.

I love Barona. I've been there many times and since the reopening of this casino from closure due to the pandemic I felt VERY SAFE. They take your temperature while you are still in your car. Everyone is instructed to sanitize hands before entering and/or upon entering. They have sanitized pens for signing paperwork. All employees walk around with spray bottles, paper towels, and sanitizing wipes. They are constantly wiping down the slots and chairs. They require marks and for them to cover your nose. There is an announcement about this every 30 mins or so & there is no smoking on the casino floor for now. By the way I even won 2 jackpots on that visit. The food court has tables spread out 6 feet or more apart. There is hand sanitizer for you to clean your hands before and after ordering. What can I say other than they REALLY CARE about the safety or their staff and patrons. I've been to at least 2 other casinos and I felt safest at Barona.

I was here to officiate a wedding at the chapel. Nice view of the pond, very nice chapel with overhead sound system. I had never been here before but I liked it!

Casino is fine. I love how they will bring you food to your slot machine on a rolling table!

Beyond the casino is the buffet which is among the top buffets in the world. That is coming from someone who knows! And if you join their free club, it s really cheap! Awesome all you can eat crab legs and lobsters occasionally make an appearance!

Loved it. We had a party of 7 at the Steak house and they set us up in the large private room. We could eat and be loud without bothering anyone. The staff was friendly and had a great attitude. Same with the busboys. Great steaks.

I love this place. An adorable resort tucked away... we spent two nights at this resort and the staff was awesome and definitely accommodating. The food was good and the establishment was very clean. You can even enjoy a little time away from the casino while enjoying a nature walk around the property. I would definitely recommend Barona to anyone looking for a lil getaway!!

I love the Christmas setting. Valet parking personnel are so great. The only thing this place is missing is a self-serving drink station.

Love Barona! I used to get free rooms here. They do not serve alcohol here. Buffet and other eating places are awesome. Pool us great ans no matter what room u get you have an amazing view. I need to go here again soon.

This review is based upon my first experience at Barona Resort and Casino, and I'm pleased to say that I have no negative comments! Upon arriving, the valet was polite and helpful, and got the car parked quickly. We went to the front desk to check in with our reservation, where we had an issue with our credit card while attempting to place the deposit for the room. The very kind woman at the front desk (Katherine?) was extremely helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure that we would be able to work around the issue with the credit card and get settled into our room as soon as possible. On top of everything else, she was by far the most pleasant person I have ever had to deal with when it came to accommodating my disability to make my stay more comfortable. I travel frequently, and often experience a lot of issues when it comes to hotels accommodating my disability without making me jump through hoops... She did not grill me with a thousand questions, or treat me with any kind of disrespect, she simply requested a few reasonable things regarding the special circumstances, and told us to enjoy our stay. This is the kind of hospitality that everyone should experience when staying at a hotel. The rooms are clean and quiet, the view is great, the water is hot, and the staff is friendly and strong in guest service and satisfaction. I will definitely be returning to Barona in the future to play at the casino and stay in the hotel. Thank you so much to the night staff (especially Katherine) for working through the issues, and making our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Keep up the good work!

I love Barona! They make you feel like family & they are so generous every time I come here. Comfortable beds, perfect room size & a beautiful view are a few of my favorite things here. They have plenty of food options & every one is actually really good. The staff is happy, nice & accommodating always and I always leave here happier than when I arrived. They will not disappoint!

Food court is great and centralized. I havent had much luck at the loosest slots in the county. But staff is friendly and the hotel accommodations are top notch.

The buffet area is a fascinating area. Line of wait varies but its always worth the wait. There are more than 7 stations or booths, each one representing a style of food and I recommend a swing to all if possible. The best part is the delicious food, mainly because it is unlimited :). The food is freshly made and is constantly cycled so no worries in finding cold mashed potatoes. Aside of the food, there are booths for fruit and salads where the fruit is sweet and delightful. The dessert area is a large portion due to the variety of possible desserts. Here are the options of Cakes, Cold Sweets, Pies, Cookies, and Pastry. Highly recommend the visit.
