The Casino restaurant is inexpensive and not to mention they have a large variety of food and every bit of it is tasteful! Its a lovely atmosphere the staff are great and friendly. Lastly but not least if you want to enjoy a good view while enjoying a mouthwatering meal this is definitely the place to go to. I can't wait to go back.
Fun place to gamble. People are friendly and there are enough non smoking areas to make it not so bad. The food is good and not too expensive. Love the Mexican place!
We have been here twice and enjoyed our stay each time. Employees are very nice and professional. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the view outside our window was wondeeful! Our room didn't have a microwave but it did have a mini fridge and a kerug coffee maker with complimentary coffee. I love that there's a gym available with an amazing view! The pool is great the water was nice and warm!

I love this place it has a small lake ( just for show) but beautiful also they have huge Non smoking area that opened a couple months ago. You can walk along the lake or just sit looking at it. I felt like I was on vacation.
Buffet staff doesn't know what to do when a big group of Chinese people came in.the line will stay. died.the other people on line no choice had to wait.staff at buffet need to learn handle control the flow of traffic to moved smoothly.
I've been going to Barona Casino since they opened the doors. On this visit I went play some keno. There were many open machines and the place seemed to be slightly empty probably due to the pandemic. They sure have changed over the years. One thing that I was unpleased with was the new no smoking policy. What the hell it's a casino. What's next no hookers.

I've never posted a negative comment to anything before, but this Casino deserves one. I found myself more fusterated dealing with slot machines that are malfunctioning. I had encounters with the technician more than usual that night after having to sit there waiting for their arrival. I don't expect to win when coming to a casino, but I do at least expect an enjoyable experience.
This is the best casino I've been in San Diego area. They have actual Vegas slots (class 3), not the bingo slots I've seen at most other casinos. They have super friendly staff. Very clean inside and a non-smoking area. They claim loosest slots, but I didn't come close to winning big, but that's the way it is some times!
I really liked that you can hit the service button on any machine and someone is there to bring you food, drinks, whatever, within like 2 mins or less. Table games have minimums as low as $5 and they have a really nice chipless table game area.
My opinion is you will only find nicer casinos in Vegas. But since Vegas isnt within 30 mins of San Diego, then this is the casino to get to.

It's an excellent place. First time being here. One of the cleanest Casinos in San Diego, if not the cleanest. Non smoking, which makes it easier to breathe and you dont go home smelling like a cheap bar. Also it was fun playing slots and had a hand payout and some good bonuses. Couldn't of been better. Also staff is friendly and helpful behind the counter and on the floor which made it very welcoming! Will definitely be coming back soon.
First time here and it was an awesome experience!!We had a suite and it was huge with the best view. The service was exceptional!! Would definitely recommend this place to family and friends!! Great weekend away for my Moms birthday!!
The slots paid well. My friend won $2000. I won some money, too. Seems like mid week, during the day, is the time to go. What I really like is that the no smoking section is by the door. I didn't have to walk through all the cigarette smoke to get to the slot machines like every other casino. This is a real plus for me. All the staff was professional, helpful and friendly.
The experience going to Barona was amazing the employees very nice and food was amazing.
The happiest casino? Probably. The loosest slot? Not really. One the worst Players card comp program? Definitely! Dropped 3000 and was only able to get 20 worth of comp. Their exact words "you didn't lose enough money cause you cashed out 500". Yeah, I cashed out and put it back. It's one thing to not want to give comps, it's another to tell me you need to see more play. 3000 is not enough play? But whatever! I'm sure Sycuan will be more than happy to have me as player!

The best buffet of every kind of delicious food is at Barona. Not a gambler, but I highly recommend you the buffet and the delicious desserts, my favorite! There's plenty of free parking lot. All the stuff are wonderful as soon as you enter they greet you with a smile. There's also a museum and a kind of roses park to take a few pictures, and the lake behind the restaurant. There's also the food court and the sushi place, I tried to taste, but is always closed when I went there.
Really nice Casino and Hotel and awesome Buffet. The smoke was a bit much, but you can't really control that. Overall it was a great experience
Played in the quite challenging Barona Creek golf course. The course was in good condition with lightning fast greens. Everyone was very friendly and waved and made you feel at home. The Santa Ana winds kept the air temperature comfortable but part of the challenge!

Machines are tight but the room and service was too notch.food was the best. I lost 400 in an hour and my friends and family lost twice as much in an hour. The casino is not hitting for many are leaving broke.its not good. I have had my best luck at Barona in the pastbut not the last 2 months

This place is a definite 5 star casino and resort!!! From the incredible casino games, to the variety of different restaurants to the most friendly and caring floor staff. Oh, the poker room and dealers are also 5 stars. I know its a small issue but the street tacos for $1 and the incredible soup kitchen cant b beat. The staff and housekeepers at the resort maintains the cleanest resort around. Always, I mean ALWAYS, a treat to go there!!!
The penny machine is not giving is so tight losing $1600.00 is not good. I regret it.But thank you for letting me play.

We came here to walk around, explore and have a meal. For a casino, it is a beautiful and well laid-out place. Parking is plentiful. You are greeted by a beautiful oak tree inside and as you walk around it, you're offered a cup of lemonade and it was a hot day outside! They have a large food court with many options and several restaurants as well. We decided on Three Amigos Street Tacos and the food is fresh and very good!! We shared a large Maple Pecan Cinnamon Roll for dessert from the coffee place, also in the food court. It was goey good! They have a large non-smoking area in the casino which is very nice for those of us who are really affected by smoking. They were voted as having the loossest slots by their patrons and have won best casino 7 times. The grounds surrounding the Casino and Resort are lovely and manicured and they use reclaimed water to keep them so. We loved the stone and metal sculptures that are featured on a grass circle you drive around. Overall, we were very impressed by this place.
The most pleasant experience we had during these times. The amount of sanitation stations is greatly appreciated and every staff member was so welcoming. We dined at the Italian restaurant and had a lovely meal & attentive service. I also appreciate them wrapping our food before bringing it to our table as an extra safety precaution. Even the parking structure had friendly security guards saying hello and waiving us goodbye. We'll definitely be back again soon!
Personally, I believe this to be one of San Diego s best casinos. From their table games that are offered, to their slot machines that actually give you a fair amount of bonus play, they have a lot to offer. It s rare to find a casino that entices you to keep coming back. Barona definitely knows what they are doing in terms of win/ lose balance. The employees are all genuine and friendly, as well. They even have great dining options, from sit-down restaurants, to a walk-up deli- there are a lot of great places to eat.

Was my birthday yesterday, was there for 4 hours, playing with my Barona card and never saw an employee come by with birthday wishes, pretty disappointed. Payoffs pretty disappointing, but the food in the Sage cafe was amazing
It's been a few years since we stayed at Barona. We stayed for two nights overlooking the chapel and the water wheel. It was beautiful. The staff is so friendly, everyone says hi. We had breakfast and dinner at The Sage.....so good. Pizza in the food court. Yummy and ice cream at the creamery. The machines were ok.....all casinos seem to keep them pretty tight. We had a great two days and look forward to going back.

My parents and I had a good time. We usually come to have an early dinner together at the buffet. At least once every 2 months. The food is good. I love their salads and desserts. Wish I could stay longer I get full too quick!

Both my mother and I were platinum at Barona for two years in a row then I went again taking my daughter who has spent many nights there is a child now she s 24 and she and I went they gave us the VIP treatment they gave me a welcome back home pin and 20 times points. They can build new casinos they can upgrade existing ones there s nothing like Barona Valley Ranch they re really isn t they have a panache get a hostess you get VIP treatment and you won t even care that all the machines are full or Saturday night and there s nowhere to sit the food court is packed and even waiting is fine they give out prizes they give you drinks and they have this wonderful Chinese new year celebration! I love for them to Valley Ranch...

Barona resort and casino is only 35 minutes drive from San Diego. They have huge buffet, huge casino, many food stations (Chinese, Philippines, nuddles, pasta, seafood, carving stations, salads, fruits, deserts and so on). Ideal for big groups
Nicely redone since I was last there. This is new tile in ladies restroom.
It has been a while since I've been to Barona. They have renovated it, removing those long people-movers you encounter from the parking garage. Now they have a mini food court area with a coffee shop, random food stalls, and a gift shop. It definitely made the place look bigger. They also have staff pushing drink carts around if you want a bottled water, juice, or coffee. We weren't charged, but we did give them a $1 tip. If you are in the area, you should check out this casino. It doesn't seem as squished and squashed inside as it used to. And hopefully you'll encounter some good luck too.
The staff here was by far the most friendly and inviting casino staff I've ever seen. From the security guards all waving as your on your way in to the dealers inviting you to play and continuing to entertain you the entire time you with them to when you leave and the cashier telling you to have a goodnight after holding a friendly conversation with you! But the cafes and restaurants buffets are the best. Adam at the Club desk gave us $15. for the Sage Cafe. That does help to buy a very nice full Meal. So I added or stars just for that. I did enjoy our last visit. Just a fun getaway day for us.

Went to Barona for lunch and slots for the first time ever. Their employees were the friendliest ever in any casino we had ever gone into. Everyone waved, welcomed us and were genuinely nice. From the parking lot attendants to the agents issuing player cards to our waiter in Sage.
The food wasnt anything to rave about other than the fresh warm dinner rolls, I'd pass on it the next time.
Plenty of slots to choose from, but nothing very exciting there either.
But as far as customer service, best service goes to Barona hands down.
Always impressed by the quality of service here and the rewards you get for just being a free member. We come here often to enjoy the casino, stay at the hotel and to play the golf course.
The rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. I really like the bathrooms which feature a glass stand up shower and a bathtub option. I've never had a problem staying here but even if I encounter a issue in the future, Barona will most certainly take care of whatever it is.
The casino is very well stocked with the latest and greatest slot machines, table games and updated poker room. I love the Craps table and occasionally dabble in Roulette but its got something for everyone.
The Barona Golf Course is a very challenging links style course that features lengthy holes and tough undulating greens. I believe they host several tour events here and its rated one of the best courses in San Diego. Never a long wait here either because of the exclusive atmosphere of the course so bring a camera and friends to really enjoy the day.
The buffet was nice. Be careful because the lines are long. It seems fun here.
